The one that threw me for a loop (in the best way) was Kriek! So ofc I got a pint. We shared a (fairly large) pretzel to start, which comes with beer cheese. Tasty, but I was genuinely shocked there was no mustard. I ordered the jagerschnitzel (pork) and just overall the meal was as expected as if I was in the Midwest - amazing, delicious, insert chef's kiss. I wish I could have joined the clean plate club. The cucumber salad was flavorful and not too sour/pickley. My friend and I both noted how umami the savory sauce was- not too bacon, not too mushroom. The potatoes were not too salty or under-seasoned. Literally willing to drive up again if/when someone tells me to go. It wasn't horribly busy so it didn't take forever to order and get everything we needed. Our server was super nice and patient. She even gave a bar suggestion that ended up being a nice cherry for the top of the evening.

The owners are from Germany and the food is as authentic as it gets. There is live accordion music also on the premises. When we were seated we were immediately brought fresh baked rye bread and real butter. Our drink order was brought and companion had a Warsteiner beer and I had an Ayinger Dunkel which is a dark beer. Both were from the tap and were ice cold. For the main course, companion had smoked bratwurst with red cabbage and German potato salad. I had the jaeger schnitzel which has a mushroom grave, with red cabbage and spaetzle. Both of our main courses were delicious and large portions. Last was dessert. A big piece of apple strudel swimming in a vanilla sauce. To say we were full is an understatement. A motorized wheelbarrow would have been nice to get out to the car! The restaurant is rated with an A from the health department and it shows. When the bill came it was not to be believed. I've spent a lot more for a breakfast than for this dinner. Including 2 large imported beers the entire bill came to $55.00. I had the brat by itself with kraut and I topped it with some Senf (glad they didn't just use American Dijon or that standard yellow mustard). This is an authentic German Brat, which in Arizona is hard to find. They have a lot of others I'm excited to try! They have Americanized the names to make it more accessible for an American food truck, but all the classics are there. Excited to try the Curry Wurst next time!

The truck is way over priced and the quality is just not there. Try another food truck.

12/13/25: we have been to Cornish Pasty so many times, I can't believe I never reviewed it until…read morenow. Let me right that wrong. It's wonderful! Over the years & after multiple visits, there has never been a bad one. The food is always delicious. IMPORTANT NOTE: the pasties are pre-made; you cannot ask for substitutes or to leave this or that item out. Do not worry, however, as I am picky (don't like onions or peppers), but I have never had an issue with finding something to eat here. The house made bread is absolutely aaaah-mazing. Hell, I could eat multiple plates of it alone for my meal. Thick slices of goodness. The drinks are hit or miss, though we have never had an issue with a simple Old Fashioned. :-) It's a bit dark inside, they have a substantial patio on the north side of the building, and the staff has always been friendly. The parking is not bad as it is part of small strip mall, but don't expect to always be able to park immediately close to Cornish (especially during busy times). Looking forward to many more visits to Cornish!
