My favorite Italian spot in the valley. Classic aesthetic and good service! The Pasta Alex is my go to, and I love the in house Cheesecake and Tiramisu! You can also BYOB of your favorite Vino and there is no uncorking fee. Cash only establishment. Great people great food. Go with some elite company and enjoy!

What an amazing experience. Our friends recommended this place that they tried over two decades ago and it did not disappoint Same lovely owner years later still comes and that's his magic very impressive. The ambience and the smell of the food is unmatched.

Over a decade ago, I used to frequent Giuseppe's on 28th which the owner (Pasquale) sold. I remember the food being delicious and the environment being warm and welcoming. Today was not the same experience, and I won't be coming back. I asked for lemons with my water but never got any. I was craving vodka pasta or something of the sort, and Pasquale offered to make me a creamy tomato pasta which I appreciated. However, he then came back to ask what kind of pasta I wanted and I said rigatoni to which he responded, "Maybe. I'll see if I have it. I don't just have all kinds of pastas here." I was really taken back by that comment and our interactions with him overall. It just didn't feel very welcoming. That said, there appeared to be many regulars in the restaurant at this time. Pasquale was calling people by their names and visiting with guests. So maybe you just have to be in the "in" crowd for that qualify of service. Who knows. The creamy tomato pasta he made me was good, I will say that. The other dish we ordered, the chicken parmigiana, was quite tough and a bit bland. The bread and butter that were served at the start of the meal lacked flavor. The Giuseppe salad was very oily and had very little lettuce, but it was pretty good. My biggest issue was when the bill came. Pasquale came and told us we owed $40 but delivered no itemized bill. When I asked him for an itemized bill, he seemed frustrated by this request. He then proceeded to give me a bill with incorrect pricing on it that did not match the menu pricing. When I asked about that, he told me that the menu needed to be updated a while ago. It appears that the regulars are used to this experience because, as I was discussing the bill with Pasquale, a table of two got up, walked over to him, and handed him some cash, asking what they owed, to which he replied, " I don't even remember. This is good. Have a nice day." Don't get me wrong, Pasquale seems like a nice guy from the east coast and perhaps my west coast upbringing didn't prepare me for that kind of service, but the whole experience made me really uncomfortable. Take note of the many Yelp reviews that suggest asking about pricing before you order. Also note that only cash and Zelle are accepted here. No credit cards. In my opinion, the quality of the meal was not enough to justify me coming back.

We went here for a birthday dinner! Our server was excellent and very nice and patient! The food was delicious as well! I went around and asked our table what they would rate the meal and I think everyone said 5 stars except for one person! The food was hot and tasty! My pasta Alex was superb and I would definitely get it again. I would definitely recommend!

We've dined here for years: birthdays, business and a relaxing night out, as we experienced last evening. Husband came for the Cioppino with capellini, I ordered the very special lobster ravioli à la vodka. Owner Pasquale, a charming host, decanted our BYOB and sent a delightful amuse bouche. Tiramisu was light and lovely. Our smiling server, buser and manager were all attentive. We closed the place!

It was our first time in and I am not a fan. I was turned off by the light turning off on me in the restroom. And the baby highchairs lined up in front of the toilet. GROSS! The chicken parm was okay. I was not too fond of the red sauce. Nobody was thrilled with their food. The waitress was great and super friendly. The check came and no prices. How much was the Pasta Alec? 221.00 for six people. It's a bit high for okay food. We won't be back. It's such a shame; they came highly recommended.

My friends thought it could have been more "refreshing" (seems more wine heavy but was still delicious to me!) Bread and garlic butter - A must order. So tasty. We weren't ready! I think he was disappointed that we were not going to build a big bar tab. Only 2 of us ordered from the bar list. Now to the food. We've eaten at this place many many times over the years. And returned because the food and service were excellent. However this time, our food was far from what we expected, and the waiter seemed like he wished he were anywhere else but there! The appetizer ordered was so haphazardly put on the plate, and was also not tasty. My husband's salmon was thin and dry. I don't think this place has seen any updating since it opened. Currently, it feels dank and dirty with no signs of welcoming any changes. It's always sad to see the neglect of management/investors in not protecting their stock in trade- their reputation and respect for their customers.

If you're looking for good Italian food, this is a good contender. This place came highly…read morerecommended and has experienced a significant amount of attraction from social media posts. That is quite evident upon walking into a very small but crowded restaurant. I highly recommend having a reservation because even with one, you will probably have to wait for your table. Our server was Jeremy. He was super helpful in explaining the must have as this was our first time here. You can tell he was definitely honest and passionate. We started with the Crudo of the week, which I believe was Ahi tuna with pomegranate and some type of orange citrus... No real qualms, it was fresh, but kind of fell out a place for the restaurant. Upon Jeremy's recommendation, we got the lasagna and a spicy rigatoni. The lasagna is limited availability so keep that in mind if you're coming specifically for that. However, should the lasagna not be available, just order the spicy rigatoni, you will not be disappointed. The portion sizes here are quite generous, which is fitting for an Italian restaurant. My partner, and I could've easily shared one entrée. In fact, the lasagna is gargantuan. My jaw dropped when I saw it come to the table, it is that massive. Both of the entrées were delicious. It's homestyle comfort food through and through. The spice rigatoni is a very bright acid with the tomato sauce complemented by a slight heat from the Calabrian chili, and all brought together with perfect Al dente rigatoni and sweet, Italian sausage. The lasagna was meaty, rich, and heavy, but in a satisfying way. Definitely one of the better lasagnas I've had at a restaurant. As far as drinks go, I had two glasses of Sangiovese, which were pretty fairly priced, and my partner had two cocktails, which were a bit more on the expensive side. He liked them, but didn't love them. The smoked old-fashioned is kind of what they're known for in the drink department. We received a complementary tiramisu as we were celebrating an anniversary, and it was very charming. Definitely very rich and creamy, not so much espresso and very light on the lady fingers. All in all, we spent around 191 before tip, which is what we expected. You definitely get the impression it's a neighborhood spot, but not neighborhood prices..if that makes sense. You can dress it up or down, but the entrées were definitely on the expensive side for what the atmosphere sells itself as. That being said, I am eager to come back and explore the menu a bit more. Entrées were fabulous.

I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.

On this trip we had a margarita pizza, chicken parm, and a side of meatballs, we also had a Caesar salad. Everything was 10/10 the freshness of each dish is present in the rich flavors, the freshest basil I've ever had on a pizza and as I love tons of it! The tomato sliced thin so it took in some heat and charred just a bit. The crust is like nothing I've ever had almost like focaccia bread but thinner the perfect crispiness. Now this chicken parm, it's huge we split it and left with 1/2! Comes with angel hair marinara and green beans, it's crisp but with a light breading and yet it's fully breaded again not like any chicken parm I've had, the angel hair marinara is super flavorful for a simple side plus buttery net not oil green beans.
