If you're craving German food, Brat Haus is the spot to be! It had been nearly a decade since my last visit to this charming little bar and beer garden in Old Town, but it's still the same quality of food that I remember. Our group of five arrived on a weeknight at 7 PM without a reservation, and we were able to table a seat inside right away. A few of the beers we were interested in trying were no longer available, which is a bummer, but thankfully they had plenty of other options to choose from. We started with the Sauerkraut Balls (yum!) and the Large Pretzel, which is the perfect size to share among a large group. I went with the Hot Italian Brat for my entree, with Sauerkraut and Onion & Pepper on the side. I got a side of German Potato Salad, which was warm and comforting. The prices are very fair for the portion size! Definitely be sure to come hungry.

Second time here and it's a 5/5 every time. We live in Gilbert so whenever we have an excuse to visit Scottsdale...we always want to come here. Came on a Saturday afternoon--was seated quickly. It was a very nice day out. The outdoor seating area is always a vibe when the weather is right. My fiancé is the beer connoisseur--he always loves what he orders from here. For us--the food is just awesome. Nothing beats a good brat. I personally love the veggie plate for the pickled veggies...the things I would do for those pickled veggies!!!! I even ordered a side. I ordered the sausage board and loved the sausage sample. My fiancé got a traditional brat with potato salad. I got to try both and soooooo good! We will always be back!

There was a lady that had posted on her own review that this place wasn't good for kids. So i was extremely paranoid since my kids aren't the best at staying still at any restaurant we go to. Esp with our friend's kid with us as well it's just a dangerous combo. But we had a great time and thankfully it was not a very busy Sunday night thank god. So as usual my kids did happen to wander a bit but our waitress was extremely nice and understanding. We feel like they changed the recipe for the pork schnitzel. My husband used to love ordering it years prior during spring training and he couldn't even get through half because he said it's not the same as it once was. My burger on the other hand was decent. We loved the renovation to the patio it's much more open and welcoming and nice to see how much growth/change has came over the years of coming here.

The large espresso martini sign out front pulled me in so of course I had to get a martini when I was in the area! The patio is so cute, it felt like a hidden oasis in Scottsdale. We started with some pretzel bites which were good and then followed those with espresso martinis. Unfortunately the espresso martinis were not my favorite as tasted watered down.

We stopped in at the Brat Haus for a beer and snack during spring break and loved the huge outdoor area. They had plenty to do with lots of TVs, giant Jenga, and other activities. There were over 40 beers on tap and the waiter was very helpful in picking a good one based on my preferences. The pretzel bites appetizer was amazing. Great place to visit!

Only speaking on the service, the drinks and the pretzel appetizers 100/10. Richy and other staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The lemon drop martini and lemon drop shots were delicious. Really enjoyed ourselves !

We had such a great experience at Brat Haus for our bachelorette party! We came in with a group of 9 girls, and our bartender was absolutely amazing. He made us incredible espresso martinis, opened the bar early so we could grab drinks, and truly went above and beyond. One of the girls in our group wanted to buy a Brat Haus shirt, but they only had a 2XL left. Instead of just saying sorry, he literally gave her the shirt off his back for free--which was such an unforgettable and thoughtful gesture. Beyond the amazing service, the beer garden itself is such a vibe--beautiful, fun, and the perfect spot for day drinking and grabbing a quick bite. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and it made our bach weekend even better. Highly recommend for groups.

I love this place! The outdoor seating area is cute and pretty. All the food is is delicious and the price point is acceptable.

This was nothing like i saw on tv and disappointing it's a one and done too much bread and nothing worse than getting food served on wet soggy cardboard. Last time i had a salad served on cardboard was during covid. There wasn't even a sign for the surcharge. Very disappointing half the meal was a throw away

Everything we ordered was delicious! Great service! Love the dog-friendly patio! Giant pretzel was amazing!!! In a fun part of town too! Restaurant is super chill - loved it!

I've been hanging out at Brat Haus for many years. The staff is friendly, the food is tasty, the beer selection is vast. There are two indoor areas and a nice outdoor area when the heat isn't insane. Dog friendly with water and treats for them. You can pay a yearly fee to have a beer stein custom engraved with discounts while your stein is active. They also host a very busy Octoberfest every year.

(I did not. I ordered a full breakfast and a waffle like an adult with priorities.) I went around 9:15am on a Wednesday--only a few tables were occupied, and the staff was super friendly, gave great recommendations, and the food came out fast. Inside is dialed in with chandeliers, French-y posters and photos everywhere, and a pastry case with tarts, pastries, and cheesecake that basically dares you to behave. The croissant was the star... fresh, flaky, light, buttery... exactly what you want. The egg was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted into it almost like a mini omelette (loved that). My only hiccup was the "bacon." It leaned more limp pork belly than crispy bacon and had a distinct smoke flavor that wasn't the traditional hardwood/hickory vibe I'm used to. Also... because the cheese and egg are fused together, it's basically impossible to pick the bacon out once it's in there. Next time I'd order it without bacon or ask for it on the side and make it crispy. It came with a side salad, which is not what I expected with breakfast, but it was actually great, fresh spring mix and a delicious dressing with a subtle sweet undertone. There were also hash browns with a crispy exterior and soft, warm interior, exactly the texture you hope for I just wish there were more of them! Because I have no self-control around French cafes, I also ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. The waffle was warm and tasty, more tender/soft than crispy, and I ended up preferring it to the 'scrape the roof of your mouth' style that most restaurants serve up. The whipped cream tasted freshly whipped and the fruit selection was generous. My only critique: I'd skip the granulated sugar on top. The waffle is sweet enough already, and biting into sugar crystals isn't my favorite texture. For a drink I tried the blueberry lavender matcha. It had crushed blueberries in it, but the matcha flavor was pretty mild and the lavender got lost. I also would've liked a touch more sweetness from the syrup but overall it drank a bit "soft" and subtle. Bottom line... really cool little spot with friendly service, quick food, and a pastry case that will absolutely ruin any plan you had to "just eat light." I'll be back but next time I'm customizing that croissant sandwich and letting the pastries talk me into bad decisions.

The staff didn't make excuses. They owned it immediately, were incredibly genuine, attentive, and went above and beyond to turn things around. By the end of the meal, not only were we glad we stayed, but it became one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in a long time. The biggest reason for that was our waiter, Cru. Absolute professional. Personable, attentive, thoughtful, and somehow managed to make us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant despite how busy things were. Great service is easy when everything runs perfectly, but it's worth acknowledging that what Cru did was much harder. He completely changed the energy of the night through pure hospitality and effort. On top of that, his recommendations for food were spot on and exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, atmosphere was great, but the way the team handled adversity and recovered is what deserves recognition. Mistakes happen anywhere. The response is what matters, and this restaurant absolutely delivered. Cru deserves all the credit in the world. As well as the entire staff and management. I will be back, without a doubt.

First, love all the fruits they incorporated in different dishes, which were all delicious. You can tell their fruit came from local farms, which carried great aroma. Their duck was well cooked too! There were a lot of things going on on the plate but at least, the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The dessert was the highlight of the whole meal - it was creamy, not too heavy with a perfect balance of sweetness and fruitiness. However, the other dishes were just alright. The flavor of the salad was quite bland, and husband found the stem end of the tomato in the salad. The croissant was a bit doughy. Husband also ordered a beef Wellington, which was just ok (forgot to take a photo) - the beef was cooked well but the pastry outside was a bit saggy. We appreciated all the great ingredients used here. But given the price we paid for this meal (around $200) and the good things we heard about this place, we just don't think this worth the value.

I opted for a Tito's dirty martini which is my favorite drink. They enjoyed the beer flights but unfortunately when my martini was delivered, I swore the glass hadn't been properly washed as it had a sweet, coffee taste. I let our server know and she immediately took it and said she would make another which was great. I did see her grab a new glass. Unfortunately the new martini tasted exactly the same. Almost like a terrible espresso martini with olive juice. It was not drinkable. Either she didn't know how to make a dirty martini or the olive juice or vermouth went bad. I couldn't stomach the drink and felt nauseous so left it. We ordered a Chef's Board. Cheese selections, plus pepperoni, salami, prosciutto, mixed nuts & fruits, olives and fig jam.
