The trek store in Savannah is a neat place which has everything for your bicycle needs! ~~ Service ~~ Great service ! Very attentive and polite people at the store. My husband's bike wheel needed a new tube that they did in a short time. I should mention that everyone in the establishment was wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. The pricing was quite reasonable . ~~ Store ~~ The store sells bicycles and accessories as well as has a repair shop. The area is very clean, uncluttered and the items are neatly arranged. I especially liked their collection of the bells and colorful helmets. They also had mostly high end bicycles on display. ~~ Location & Parking ~~ Near the Harry S Truman parkway, a decent sized store that opened around 2 years back. Service appears good but in reality it is actually poor. Brought in my Trek DS2 for 6 month service and ended up with a new chain and sprocket for ridiculous prices plus a $90 bill for service. My brakes screamed like a banshee. I was told they just had some dust and to get a can of air. They weren't even serviced. I ended up ordering pads from Amazon and replaced them myself. The bike had defective pads right from day 1. Stay away from this place. read more

I took my trek bike in for a major service and new tire . I couldn't be happier with the way they explained what they were going to do and how long it would take . They called and I picked my bike up the next day . They also knew there was a recall on my pedals and replaced them at no charge !! They told me upfront what my bike maintenance would cost and that's exactly what it cost no changes !!! If you have a trek bike , I highly recommend them for service . My wife and I purchased two Townie electric assists bikes. We love them. My bike had some challenges; one which was significant. The rear wheel apparatus was defective. They tried to fix it, but could not because they needed parts from Trek World. The delay of the required part was beyond any version of customer service. Unfortunately the repair took over 6 weeks. They did NOT offer the use of another bike electric assist or standard. read more

I am so disappointed after taking my Trek to Trek of Savannah to get serviced today. I have been a huge fan of Trek for quite a while. My current Trek I purchased from the Trek store in Spartanburg, SC and always had great customer service there. When I moved back to Savannah and the Trek store here opened, I was super excited and have taken my bike in there for several services and have purchased many accessories. When I picked my bike up today, we were about to put it on the bike rack and I noticed a cap missing on my shifter. I figured the tech just forgot to put it back on or something, so I went back inside and told him I was missing a cap on my shifter. He then told me that it was missing two services ago and he made note of it on the inspection reports and told me about it. First, he never told me anything about it. Second, never received any "inspection reports." Third, I ride my bike at least 5 days a week and I do not know how I could have never noticed because it was super obvious that it was missing! I asked to see the inspection reports and said I had never received such things. The girl who was working was looking in the computer and said there were no notes about it missing. The tech then came up and went through the computer and also could not find anything. Then he said he remembered that bike and knows it was missing. No, he did not remember me OR my bike when I dropped it off because he asked me if I had ever had it serviced there before and had to scan it in the computer to see. My husband asked if we could just order the cap then. He said no, we had to purchase the entire shifter and it was a little different than the style I had. I just spent over $200 on my service and additional accessories. I was disappointed with my previous service because a couple of issues I was having were not fixed. I did not have the time to take my bike back and I just figured they were busy at that time so maybe my bike didn't get the time it should have. But, after this second time, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I'm so disappointed, especially after having had such great service at the Trek store in Spartanburg and being a loyal Trek customer. read more

My wife and I (from Gallatin, TN) stopped in this store while camping at Skidaway Island State Park. We have Trek bicycles (FX series) that we have ridden only about 8 times in 10 years. Low, low mileage! We came to the store to ask about raising the handlebars on both our bikes as the height hurts our shoulders and wrists now. We were told they could add an extender IF the cables were long enough and that no appointment was required. We came back the next day and they determined the cables were too short for the extenders. We asked about different bikes to purchase that have higher handlebars. We were shown three different style bikes. The salespersons assisted us with utmost care to determine our needs and desires. One was even an electric bike which I really liked! Unfortunately, our bike rack was not compatible and we did not have a way to get 4 bikes home. Kudos and a huge thank you for the service and time we were given from everyone at this business. read more

Not very helpful when it came time to actual purchase two new bikes for my employer. Lost the sale of two new bikes and a long term relationship over about 67.00! I walked in the store that day with a Company Check for the price agreed upon and walked out without two new bikes. Ended up going to another local bike shop and was able to get what I desired and meet some real nice people who seem to care and understand my needs. Don't let the Savannah in the name fool you. Not local! Customer service is just as important as the product you sale! Local sales guy was good... But always had to call someone not at this location when had a real question. read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Trek Bike store of Savannah. The staff is new but were very attentive and helpful. They took the time to explain my options and were patient with me during the decision process. What a great experience. I hear they are starting a beginners bike ride on Saturdays, I am definitely going to check that out!
