I called Trek Ventura on a Sunday after a crash in which I cracked my frame, after asking other cyclists for recommendations on which shop to contact. A woman answered the phone and was patient and friendly with all of my questions. When I arrived at the shop later that day to test ride the Trek Madone SL 7, she remembered me and was again so patient and kind in answering all of my questions. She even installed my pedals on the bike so I could take it for a proper ride around the neighborhood. The bike felt amazing. When I returned, she explained the slightly different versions of the Madone so I could better understand whether I might want a different model. She was not pushy at all--just very knowledgeable, attentive, and informative. She also gave me space to think about the purchase. I made sure to ask her name so I could write this review--Jeanna Lee. I had such a great experience with her and with the Ventura Trek store in general. The whole staff was friendly, the shop was spacious and well laid out, and they had the exact make and model in stock so I could try it. This place is terrible and Gina the so called manager is so disrespectful. She has no customer service skills at all. I ordered a bike and gave a down payment then was told a week later that they cannot get the bike due to back house issues that she was not willing to discuss with me. She then proceeded to tell me that she could not refund my credit card and would be sending me a check. After speaking with Trek corporate I was informed they absolutely can refund credit cards and should. Hopefully the kind gentleman Chris I spoke to follows through and removes this manager from their store as he said, they do not typically put up with people who do this in their stores. read more

Jeanna was incredibly patient and helpful. She went way above and beyond to answer all of our questions and provided enthusiastic and superior customer service. Yesterday I was planning on picking up my bike from a service that was performed. I arrived at 2pm and the store was closed. This was because of the fires in Camarillo and there was too much smoke and ash. A little stressed out as I am in a Military Veteran Bike Ride on Saturday in Upland, Tour de Foothills. I went straight to Trek's website and tried to search for a contact. I was able to text, Chris Skipper and this is what customer service is all about. He took the time to research and contact the store manager. Then the service tech, Logan reached out to me and he arrived in less than 15 mins to open the store I could get my bike as I was leaving before the store would open on Friday morning. Just got my 2015 BMC Granfondo back from Trek for a rebuilt headset, front derailleur replacement and a whole bunch of other things. It rides beautifully now along my favorite coastal route. He's always so nice and polite and you can see right away that he cares about fixing whatever issue I have with my bike. As I'm talking about what issue I'm having he's holding my bike in one hand while wiping it clean with the other listening to what I'm saying. Literally cleaning my bike while we are figuring out the issue. He's just a solid person. Hard to find employees like that now days. Out of the box it had a front fork alignment problem. Evelo sent me a new Fork and authorized Trek for the repair. Everyone was so kind here! Took my husband's bike in for a service/repair and I am 40 weeks pregnant and right away a gentleman asked if he could unload the bike from my truck for me. Another gentleman helped me check the bike in and new the price up front and it was ready when they said it would be. These guys are the best. As a new rider, I know very little about bike maintenance. My chain came off my Sondors e-bike and I was stranded. I reached out to Trek Ventura as I had had some work done there recently and did not know who else to call. Although they were understaffed (Super Bowl Sunday) they sent a driver out to get me within 10 minutes. Took me back to their shop and had my bike chain fixed and adjusted properly. I brought these guys a very difficult challenge that four bicycle shops could not figure out. One of which was caused by a certain bicycle shop located in ventura on cachuma. Play broken and could not figure it out. I have with a vintage Klein that would not shift properly thanks to the bike shop not to name it, but mentioned above, and after hundreds of dollars and failed attempts from other shops, including two in Goleta . Lance, and Eric along with the team got together and for lack of words really stepped up. I can't say enough good things about them where most shops will throw in the towel and blame old equipment. These guys got to the point and figured it out. I highly recommend the shop. they are honest, the prices were very fair, and they were great with their communication given the condition of what challenge was presented to them. thank you great team! read more

The service guys have and are consistently freindly, courteous, listen to my needs and go the mile to help me make the best descision or provide the right parts. Photograph your bike in detail prior to leaving it for service!!! Extras sold to me and I paid to have them put on but they failed to inform me the bell, basket, and mirror would not fit on my bike. It's an Electra made by Trek. The tech said the owner sells parts that don't fit on bikes. Be very cautious and concerned about the honesty and integrity of this business. Read review of bike left in their care being disappeared. The work on my bike was a substandard hack job by the technician. Cables left too tight because they weren't properly routed when the basket was mounted. Bell put on backwards and mirror in poor position. New grips hanging off bars because the original bars were too short. No communication, just made all these mistakes on their own. Didn't hear back for more than a week. Website says 24 hr service or you get a loaner bike. Nope. Had to buy new handlebars and cables plus pay to have them put on to correct the problems. Tried to return a part I bought a duplicate of and technician told me owner took away their ability to make returns. Other worker was able to make the return. The tech at Trek would have just left me with a part I didn't need. Went to pick bike up. Handlebars lowered too much, front breaks rubbing, mirror fell off while riding because tech used black duct tape under the bracket. An Electra mirror that doesn't fit Electra handle bars. Should have used big enough rubber shim. Tear in the seat was noticed. I didn't have pictures of before service so I thought I would mention it and see if anything happened or if we could work something out. Tech said he worked on the bike the whole time and it never fell or was mistreated. Then he starts walking away with his back to me and passive aggressively said next time don't tear your seat and try to blame it on somebody else. I said "What?" because he wasn't facing me and I couldn't hear him very well. He repeated it and I was very angry that after all his ineptitude as a technician now this guy is accusing me of lying! I verbally let him have it. I loaded my bike up while he's laughing in the background. The other worker came out and apologized. For a corporate chain to still have their name on this shop it has to be lack of oversite. Will never shop here again as the risk is too great. read more

Went in to purchase a Trek FX 2 Disc hybrid bike. Was promptly greeted by a salesperson that accessed a large was the appropriate frame size for my height and then pulled one from floor inventory. The entire transaction took about 20 minutes which included service center purchase prep. Got the bike home and did some online research because the bike color (Matte Quicksilver) didn't seem to match Trek's online offering. Turns out the model sold to me was actually a 2021 women's model. I must take issue with other reviews noting "knowledgeable staff." One would think they would know their inventory and models. To their credit, the shop willingly accepted the return in exchange for a 2022 men's model. Very frustrating purchase experience as two additional trips to the store were required. One for the return and a second to pick up the correct bike after being built. Overall, very happy with the pictured bike but unhappy with the transaction. read more

Omg where do I begin? The ease of parking, the closeness of other businesses? The atmosphere, the congeniality and knowledge of staff? Usually I like to support the " little guy" the locally owned independent made in America or better yet " in Ventura" store and I think I am doing that here. While " Trek" is a world renown name in the international biking world, ( I think, - did I mention that I am a novice?) this Trek store is locally owned and staffed by Ventura rock stars (or bike stars). Many years ago when they first opened, I purchased a Trek road bike for my triathlon career. I did 12 quite happily and enjoyed their " bike tire changing class" . They didn't gag or make fun of me when I asked them to switch out the back breaking rd bike handle bars to the more comfy mt bike bars. They suggested without laughing, the bike tire changing class when I requested they pump my tires with " goo". This store and their staff have been the most accommodating and service oriented folks I have ever met! Today they out did themselves!! I was riding my recently purchased Trek Marlin 6.0 ( I think - its a purple mt bike anyway) and I haven't made it into my 30 day adjustment appointment yet. I was struggling up Overlook trail in Sycamore Canyon. My gears seized and I had to jump off the bike. This terrific trio of riders behind me stopped to inquire if I needed help. I explained the situation and Joe jumped off his bike and came to my aid. Actually all 3 of these Mt. bike Musketeers did. There was Stephan- the Trek store manager, Joe, the head mechanic and their trusty third- Mark, I think. Joe hung my bike from his neck and checked both back wheel something and then front wheel something . He asked me some questions and then spun a dial on something on the handlebars. He pronounced it " adjusted " and bade me to ride in front so he could make sure the bike was working properly. I insisted that was not necessary and due to my performance anxiety, undesirable. He cheerfully rode on but about a mi. Later returned to check on my progress. I swear to the universe, if that is not exemplary customer service, I don't know what is!! read more

He also explained the differences between the Models before offering us a test ride on any Model. After we were finished, he ensured he explained what we were getting (Free service in the first year), lifetime warranty on the frame, 2 year warranty on everything else, and free adjustments within 30 days. I've had my bike in a few times for a tune up and such, but recently had them change my tire set up to tubeless. They did a great job of explaining what was involved and completed the work in a timely manner. I had a small issue with a slow leak on one of the tires and when I took the bike back it was no questions asked and they were very apologetic for any inconvenience. Of course there was no charge.
