Dropped in for a haircut today. The 3 women stylists completely ignored me which didn't bother me- I went in for a haircut:not conversation. What was bothersome though was when they started a conversation about people from other countries that didn't speak English well. East Indians and Filipinos to be exact. At one point my stylist made a crack about Democrats. I don't know who owns the business but I doubt they would not be happy about the polarizing subjects of conversation in front of customers. read more

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!! I have never been so disappointed with how my hair had turned out! I went in to get something like the first picture... The woman who did my hair (I believe her name was Laura or Lauren) missed huge parts of my hair and there is awful orangey blob streaks in my roots. When I went back in to speak with the manager Marci she was rude, talked to me like I was an idiot and told me the reason my hair came out like this was because the picture I showed the hair stylist was edited which makes absolutely no sense to me... Not worth the $200 they charged.... plus my bank statement from them said $288 when they only rang me up for $200.... this place is horrible and extremely shady!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Was going to get a haircut with my small child and as I approached the door there were two EMPLOYEES outside of the front door smoking weed. They were obviously not wearing masks and coughing. So disgusting and disrespectful. Never ever will I step foot in that nasty salon. Had a very disappointing experience at Trend Cuts. I've been a long-time customer, but have always been frustrated with the "No Credit Card" policy, forcing me to make an extra trip to the ATM each time I want a haircut. However, today was the real tipping point for me. It is obvious that "Walk-ins" are frowned upon. I typically walk-in because my schedule is so scattered, I try to fit in a haircut whenever I get a canceled appointment. But it was obvious that I was being ignored, even after the stylists had finished their appointments. One gal cleaned her station for a solid 10 min before another stylist finished her appointment. Once it was clear she wasn't responsible for my haircut, she promptly went on break (I was the ONLY on waiting). The second stylist proceeded to collect payment from her customer and leave the building to chat with a few guys loitering outside. After another 10 min waiting I was done. I waited over 45 min total and was passed over by two stylists before crossing my name off the list and leaving. Will not return. read more

They recently updated the business and re-decorated the inside! Looks very nice now! They were short-staffed with one stylist working. I gave her the benefit of the doubt put my name down for haircut. This is definitely where the problem started. I quickly noticed she did more talking than haircutting. And not to her customer in her chair. She seemed more concerned about answering the phone then cutting hair! Which small short staffed business has to do what they can do to survive. I understand completely. Where I drew the line is realizing they had a cat as a shop pet that would not stay off of me!! People this is a business! If you want to have a pet have a pet at home! I definitely know I don't want animals jumping all over me if I'm paying for service!! read more

I'm a new client of Trend Cuts in Grass Valley. I was very pleased with the excellent service I received. The salon managed to squeeze me in on WEDNESDAY, before the Thanksgiving weekend for color and highlights.. Despite being extremely busy, the stylists were all polite and congenial. My stylist, JEN, did a wonderful job with my color; it looks great. Jen even offered a style even though she was backed up. I'm definitely going back again. read more

Going to trend cuts is a gamble, you either get an ok haircut at a great price, or you spend $20 to get completely butchered. My husband unfortunately received the latter on his most recent visit, his hair looks awful! We won't be going back. My advice - pay a little more and visit someone that can give you a good cut every time. read more

Haircut itself has always been fine here for me. Staff has always been friendly. Speed can vary depending on who does the actual cut, and sometimes stylist gets distracted by other people coming in, conversations with others in the shop, etc. Thus sometimes they are slow and sometimes they are quick. I have always walked in and never had any problems, though I do try to go for times I do not expect them to be busy. Price is right and they take credit cards. Three stars = A-OK, I come here regularly. read more

I have been getting my hair done by kat for the past couple of years. Im sure others can agree with me when i say, when you find a stylist that understands what you want and connects with you on a more personal level, you stick to that one stylist. She is very personable and genuine. Her work is exceptionally amazing. For years i have been going to different people to get my hair done, and then that stopped working for me and i started using boxed dye.. and my hair became very damaged. She was able to get it back to looking and feeling healthy in one visit. I will never go to another stylist again. read more

I always go to the Fowler Center Trend Cuts for a good thorough haircut. I don't have to wait very long at all. The ladies are friendly & the conversations are fun. Just bring a twenty. That's more than plenty and worth it. I don't carry cash because I have teen agers, but there is an ATM behind the shop when you forget the first time. :) I am making an appointment right now, even though I don't have to. read more

I had an appointment today with Jenn for 4pm. Arrived at 3:55 and my barber/stylist was cutting one man's hair and perming a lady in another chair. I left at 4:20 pm. Nobody even attempted to apologize for the wait. It seems like common courtesy is not a trait that is practiced here. In fact Jenn never even talked with me to give me any explanation, or offer an apology, or give me an expected wait time. read more
