I have really contemplated about writing this review but I feel like I have to say something - first, I have never seen the tools being cleaned before uses. I was told the tools were cleaned with the alcohol pads but I have never seen or smelled any of those being used. Second, and I think this is the bigger problem - the technician often takes long pauses between lash applications, and I can hear her using her phone. This usually results in much longer appointment time than it needs to be. Obviously I don't like that but I also feel uncomfortable saying something to her because it feels like I'm confronting her. I've just sucked it up all this time until one day, she just left me on the table for more than 5 minutes because she was taking pictures of some stuff that she was selling. It felt very disrespectful and that really pushed me over the edge, after overlooking the hygiene issue all this time. Again, I truly think she is a very skillful technician and I just wish these issues can be addressed.

I prefer a natural look and typically come in every 2-3 weeks. Even my ophthalmologist recently complimented the quality of the application, mentioning that she sees many patients with retinal scratches and eye infections caused by poorly applied lash extensions...so that really says a lot about the skill level here. The location is super convenient in Times Square, directly across from the subway station, which makes appointments easy to fit into a busy day. They also offer other services like lash lifts and tints (which I haven't personally tried yet), but I've seen the results on other customers and they look great. Emma also does waxing and does an incredible job, though I can't get it done as often as I'd like due to my retinol use. When it comes to beauty services like lash extensions, I prioritize quality above all else. It's concerning that you have to pay more for supposedly superior service, especially since this is a new policy. To me, paying extra to get a top-rated master technician doesn't make sense, especially when there are technicians who work there but aren't considered masters, yet the prices on the website don't change. You pay the same amount for each type of lash extensions you get, regardless of whether it's a master or another technician. I decided that I wanted to book with Christine, who was listed as the top option with the highest additional fee. However, when I called Christine's studio, I discovered she only does eyebrows, not lashes. This inconsistency between the website and reality is off-putting. I'm hesitant to try another lash technician because a friend had a terrible experience with someone outside of our usual technician. The glue got into her eye, the lashes looked bad, and some even fell off. It was a mess, but we continued with our regular technician until she left. Now that our regular technician left and this updated policy, I just feel that it's time to part ways with Christine Lash Studio. If you're willing to take a risk, they often have Groupon deals you can use, but for me, lash extensions are too expensive to gamble with. The way they promote certain technicians as "master" and exclude others gives me the impression that they might not be as skilled as advertised. Their 3D volume set worked perfectly for the shape of my (small and hooded) eyes and their lashes lasted longer than any I've gotten from any other business. There's never been any twisting or rotating of the lashes after application, they've even withstood my ever-so-frequent mid-life crises--tears and all. The 3D set I'd get from LashTouch lasted and still looked gorgeous even up to a month after application, which in my opinion, is a long time. In the past, the work of technicians from other businesses had only lasted a week or two before becoming disheveled or messy. The lashes at LashTouch are always applied evenly, without any pain or discomfort, and are simply stunning. After every session at LashTouch, I've always felt more confident than when I arrived. Conclusion: At first glance, the prices may seem steep, but hear me out.
