At Washington Street & Menaul, I recommend that your turn signal is on a half block away. The store's location will sneak up on you and you might miss your turn into the parking lot. Ample parking in the lot. So... we just have to look gorgeous, right? I love changing up or enhancing my vibe with wigs, weaves, extensions, hair color and accessories. I had an alright experience at this place. I would rate it a solid 3.5 because they offer a good variety of products, and the employees were helpful whenever I had questions. The atmosphere felt a bit peculiar, with a sense of wanting customers to come and go quickly. It was also surprising that they didn't have any salon recommendations, considering that hairstylists likely shop there. Nonetheless, they do have a wide range of hair and AA products available, so I'll definitely consider returning. Next time I go, I'll add a picture because they have GREAT stock! I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in the doors of this wonderful business. After my dog ate my hair brush, I decided to drive over to Trendz to buy a new one since I live nearby and I had never been there before. I was greeted and welcomed immediately upon entering the doors. The staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming to all customers. ( and they were all wearing masks and following covid protocols) The business was clean and has a lovely, fresh smell with an organized clean and clear store layout. The selection of items is incredible -from hair products, to wigs, nail polish, jewelry, makeup, eyelashes and any beauty-related item you could think of!!! The place to go for anything a curly head needs!! The staff is cool and their prices are more than reasonable for everything. This is the place you can come to get everything you need to glam yourself up and the holy grail for anyone who loves to do others and their own hair and try out something new. The only thing I will warn about is they are closed on Sunday's so if you get your hair done on the weekend you oughta make certain you got all you need and a lil more so you don't end up half done I'm speaking from experience lmao read more

I didn't know this place existed. I was overwhelmed with all of the hair choices, but luckily the employees were friendly and eager to help. The prices are great and they are definitely doing their part with COVID. They offer an assortment of haircare products and accessories as well. I purchased makeup highlighters for a modeling event that I will host, and realized the saleswoman gave me one lipgloss, I went to trade/exchange it (unopened) for a highlighter, I originally needed. I never noticed the sign until a saleswoman went to the wall to point it out. Another saleswoman went to the "back" to ask manager or supervisor but to no success, I could not exchange. SO! With that being said, lesson learned check all your items before you purchase and exit the store. I must do the same. Trendz Beauty 85% rating out of 100%. When my retail store is opened, soon I will accept refunds & exchanges. No doubt! Thanks ! read more

I was looking for a ponytail and a lovely woman named Tanya was super nice and helped me find what I was looking for- when I go to pay for my item using a credit card, she asked to see my ID- perfectly fine. I hand her my ID and she held on to it. When I asked for it back she said that she needed to do something with it. She kept looking at my ID and then proceeded to write down my DL number on the receipt with my signature. I was a little uncomfortable with this- I have not had this experience at any other business. I am not sure what the purpose of this is? My card was already charged when she did this. The service was great but I am not sure why my DL number is necessary? It seems a bit dis-trustful after such a pleasant experience. UPDATE!!! I sincerely appreciate the owner responding to my review. I am thankful that she took the time to explain why this was done. I feel better about my transaction. I did not see a sign at the register stating this policy as I was having a great time to talking to everyone in store. Happy to shop and support local read more

Great first experience in to the world of wigs! I have been contemplating wearing a wig but have been leary of following through with it out of self consciousness. I started losing my hair at a rapid rate in my mid 20's and now as a 40 something, the bulk of my morning routine is consumed by trying to arrange strands to cover up scalp patches. I've tried every product on the market with no success so told myself you either shave it and own it or try buying hair. Shout out to James in the Cottonwood store. He was super cool and helpful and I left with a very natural looking short style that actually looks real. Tip for doll nerds like myself, the have tons of different fibers to work with when rerooting doll hair or makin little wigs. The prices are very affordable as well. read more

I have been to this store two times. The first time was a great experience, the man that helped me was very informative and took time to show me options, different ways of doing the style I was trying to achieve etc. $100 later I left knowing exactly how I would achieve the look. I thought it was an awesome store & the new place I would go for my hair products. Unfortunately, the second time was 100% different. While talking with an employee about which products to use on my children I heard aggressive yelling coming from across the store as I looked I realized the man was yelling at my 3 year old child who had picked up a lipstick to look at it. The man approached my child yelling " na na na don't touch that cause if you break it your mamas gonna have to buy it!!" I immediately put the products I was planning to buy back on the shelf and thanked the employee that was so very helpful. My children and I began to walk out of the store, as we left I looked back to see a woman sitting at the register laughing with the man that yelled at my child. As a business owner I know how important it is to take care of your customers/ clients. They put food on the table! This situation made myself as well as my children not only uncomfortable, but embarrassed and unwelcome. I Understand that as a business owner how things are cared for is very important and of course, if my 3 year old accidentally broke something I would pay for it twice but handling the costumer with care is most important. I was so happy to find a store where I could not only get quality products, but also get knowledge about everything I was purchasing. I will never go into this store again because of the way that person made me and my children feel. I hope he was not the owner, & if he was shame on him for making us feel so uncomfortable that we left the store. He should definitely take some lessons from the other employees there. And as for the woman sitting behind the counter laughing while my 3 children ( who were almost in tears ) and I left. I will pray for you. Such a horrible experience! read more
