I went in there this afternoon around 4 PM and was shown a pair of earrings by Gregg, the owner's son. I really liked the earrings which were approximately $4500 plus tax. I told Greg that I was trying not to be impulsive and that I had to think about it. He said the price was going to go up and he couldn't guarantee that it would be the same if I returned later. This is usual salesman banter. I got home to Avalon and discussed the purchase with my husband. He said we'll go back and get them. I called the store and told Greg's sister that I would be back the next day to purchase the earrings. I then decided to go up there today in person with my husband and purchase the earrings. We walked into the store aboutt 5 PM and Greg said that the price of the earrings had increased since I left about an hour ago. I couldn't believe my ears! His mother, the owner, said that she would split the difference with us. I was shocked. Never before have I seen a retailer act in such a poor business fashion. I will never darken the door of the Jewelry Studio again. They have lost a customer. They are shisters.
