Creo no vovler a ir.

I've been to many Salvadorians restaurants and for this to be my first time to try this place I'm truly disappointed. $12 plate just for 2 PLÁTANOS! That's a JOKE! Other restaurants give 3 or 4 for that same price. If I would've known how stingy they are with their food I wouldn't have come. I wonder how their other plates are for such a high price?! If I can give it a zero star I would !

Freshly made pupusas are always a must. This place has all the delicacies of a Salvadorian kitchen. The space is spacious; there's plenty of sitting and it doesn't seem to get too full even when there's plenty of customers. You can sit down or order to go. If you sit down, the waitress takes your order and checks up on you every 5-10 minutes which is nice. They also have beer so it's a plus to sit down and enjoy a cold beer while you wait for your food to arrive. My go-to are their pupusas revueltas. They are delicious and of a nice size. I always get two and end up mad full. The only reasons why I'm giving this place four stars is because it's always noisy and the curtido is a little bland. They have music playing on the speaker system as well as two TVs on at the same time on different channels. The curtido is not as vinegary as it should be, but it could be a personal preference. Overall, definitely coming back.

I guess I was feeling adventurous tonight. I didn't know what I wanted for dinner so I just started driving around but it was 5:00 pm so traffic was bad everywhere. I was headed to another place to get a burrito but then I saw this place and decided I'd give it a shot. It's a mom and pop Salvadoran pupusería. The menu had a lot of the traditional El Salvadoran plates but the pupusas seemed a bit pricey starting ay $2.15 up to $3.25 for a rice pupusa with chicken and cheese. I commented to my friendly and somewhat shy server that the pupusa seemed a bit expensive. It was a non descript building in a mini mall so I guess I was expecting cheaper prices. She said today they had a special where the mixto pupusa was $1. I said I'd try that and got two of them. I asked if there were any specials because most of the dinner plates were over $10.99 or more. They did have breakfast plates for less but even a sopa de patas or pork feet soup was $11.50. Wow. She said they had a special fish plate enveloped by egg coming with rice and refried beans for $8.99 so I decided to go with that. It took a few minutes to get my pupusa and I could hear the slapping sound behind the counter so I knew they were being made fresh. Well they were delicious! I topped it with the curtido or cabbage and salsa and enjoyed it a lot. Then the server brought out the other plates and it was a lot of food! The fish was good, it had some bones on the edges so I had to eat carefully but the filet was tasty in the tomato sauce and the mix of the rice and beans all went well together. I also got a bowl of two freshly made tortillas too and I had to bring one home because it was a filling meal. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and I'm glad I stopped in. Who knew this would be an FTR too. Good pupusa, I'll be back on Tuesdays.

My first taste of el salvidorian food and I have to say I'm in love again...

First time eating el salvidorian food and I have to say they represented their country very well. Pupusas are handmade and made to order! talk about FRESH! and you got to try their drinks...ahhhh so refreshing!! Cant wait to go back!

one vegetarian and one jalapeño pupusas. Many other types of fillings available.

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!
