I receive the absolute worst customer service ever. I sat down the restaurant for 20 minutes and never got asked if I wanted a menu and then she came up and asked me what I want to eat, but I didn't even look at the menu. This was a horrible experience for me and I would not be coming back to this place just because the customer experience also the food was just all right and I've had better Mexican other places and and if you're looking to eat a big amount of food, don't come here because the portions are tiny. read more

Love this place. Atmosphere, drinks, food, service, all perfect. Only problem is we live 480 miles away and visit once a year on our way to the Summit. Stopped in for lunch with mild expectations. I ordered the two entree lunch meal with one ground beef burrito and two ground beef hard shell tacos-rice and beans included in the "lunch meal". Chips and salsa complimentary starter....the salsa is top notch good. All was excellent. Even the Pepsi was perfect. I will definitely visit this establishment much more; the fajitas smelled wonderful and I am very curious about the chili relleno. read more

Ashland is our stopover when returning to St Louis from the North Carolina Outer Banks. We had seen Tres Hermanos on our previous stop but too late to have dinner. This time we remembered and stopped in. We always over eat at the Coast, so Ms T was happy to have a Taco Salad which she rated as good and not too heavy. I ordered Pork Chile Verde which is something I often try in new places. I liked the way this pork was cooked, tender and not dried out. The sauce was a little different than the usual tomatillo based version. This one was more like a green mole in appearance. It was a little sweet, not my favorite version ever, but it is fun to find different versions in different places. We like to try out these little Mexican places wherever we travel. Since this really will be a stopping point when headed west, we will no doubt be here again to explore the menu a little more. This was a good start, a solid three stars. Update January 2018 - This time I found the huevos con chorizo and ordered them. They did a very good job on these. Stay away from the burritos and such. Get the eggs, the pork chile verde or the very good chori pollo. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere, in fact it is the back of a gas station but it is never disappointing! The place is a lot bigger than what it looks like from the outside, great use of space. We usually eat in but tonight we decided to do take out. We ordered Chicken Deluxe and Cancun Chicken both with double rice, no beans. We asked that the beans were put in separate containers and no tortillas. We did receive beans in a container by themselves but we also received beans in the same container as the chicken. The amount of chicken we got was at least half of the chicken we get when we eat in. Also the tortillas were in the bag. What good are special instructions if no one pays attention to them. We've never had a complaint about this restaurant in the past. Very disappointed with our take out order, especially now that the prices increased. Less food for more money! read more

The food is good but I know of multiple people I work with, including myself just this past week, that has had their credit card used fraudulently within a day or two of eating there. If you do decide to eat there, I suggest paying cash only. I know I won't be going back there. read more

Located right next to the Fairfield Inn in Ashland, Tres Hermanos Nunez is a great lunch or dinner spot for travelers passing through. I had the vegetarian burrito and was pleased; it came with rice and beans. They also carry Jarritos Mexican sodas, which is a nice touch. Chips, salsa, cheese dip, and guacamole were all delicious. Reducing by one star because the desert we got, "Chimi Cheesecake," was super-commercial looking and tasting. It was an interesting concept--a cheesecake inside a chimichanga with a side of ice cream--but it was covered with cheap whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and rainbow sprinkles, which took away from the appeal. Otherwise, delicious option right next to an inexpensive Marriott property! read more

I wasn't blown away by any of the food but I was not disappointed either. The staff was friendly and quick. I'm not unhappy that this was the food choice next to my hotel. My Arroz con Pollo was good and my wife's Quesadilla Texana was terrific. Portions were great and everything was hot. They forgot to bring an add on item but no issue. For starters, we are extremely near the Mason Dixon Line. Tex-Mex it isn't, however it is pretty dog gone good Mexican food with the typical American twist. Hot flavors are muted for that northern appetite. Best of all it isn't California-Mexi-bland! Had the Shrimp Fajitas with grated blanco cheese, salsa has a good flavor, yet not overpowering. Hot, fresh, thin, corn chips and salsa are delivered to the table as fast as you are seated. As I was eating alone, they chose not to leave additional salsa in the mini-carafe, but additional salsa was promptly delivered on request. I suspect that most folks do not finish their salsa, this far north. Shrimp were cooked perfectly, plenty of hot fresh tortillas were brought out with the food. The bell pepper and onions were nicely grilled and caramelized. Unfortunately as I was eating alone there just was insufficient room in my belly for me to try multiple items. Beans were ok, rice was dry with minimal flavor, but I don't go out for the rice and beans. Soft drinks were refilled without me having to request (2 thumbs up for service). Good food,great service!!!!! My server checked on me every time he passed by. As good or better than much of what we ate in Cabo San Lucas, La Paz or Loretto, Baja Sur California (Mexico).
