The Sunday brunch buffet straddles a fine balance between price and value. Your personal preference may tip the scale one way or the other. Adults are $25 each, and children may eat for free for every adult partaking in the same buffet. Each adult buffet scores you *one* free child buffet. The quality of the spread is decent however I wouldn't be writing home about it anytime soon. The sausage links were on the hot tray for too long and hence were pretty dried out. The pop and juicy insides we have come to expect were alas long gone by the time we arrived! The eggs were a little well done but I happen to like well done scrambled eggs so I was more than ok with that. The hash brown lacked the crispy crusty bits and was more like a buttery cooked potato dish; reminds me of the insides of a creamy potato cake (if you can imagine one -- oh yea, a hash brown!). The side of creamy potato mash was pretty good too! I don't know what a shrimp alfredo was doing there but I had a bit and it was ok. I preferred the flavor profile of it's neighbour, the shrimp fajita, but it was a little dried out and overcooked. From the dessert plate, the churro was the best of the lot while the tres leches, chocolate, and flan were ok. Here's where you have to score and see if there is value in this for you. Personally, I am decades past my college binge-eating days and I have no wish to "eat my money's worth." The quality of the food for the quantity I would have liked to stop at (I must admit I overdid it with the dessert plate) didn't justify a $25 expense. I can get myself filled with a better quality of food for less than that at many other dining spots. If you have a hungry kid (or two) with you, I guess it makes financial sense because you save on the additional $10-12 you would have spent per child on an a la carte breakfast anywhere else. So their menu had a lot of options! We wanted the Barria tacos and the dipping sauce and shredded meat in this and omgggg it was so delicious! There was a bar and TVs it looked like a sports bar and there was outside patio and everything was clean! The restrooms was nice and clean! read more

Lauren was so wonderful. Got to us right away after waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes for a table. Not bad wait for a Friday night at 6:30. Staff at the door was very friendly and kept us up to date on when we would be seated. Go for the Azteca drink. Made with mezcal and is reallllly tasty. Tonight's dinner was Lauren's suggestion of the Pollo Al la Playa. Really great taste as more than I could eat on one sitting. Plus I needed another Azteca. We will be back and will ask for a table in her section. read more

We ate here on Christmas Eve. It wasn't too busy, we got there an hour before closing. They have indoor seating and a bar. It was quiet noise levels with minimal patrons at the time. Our waiter was friendly. It took awhile for him to come back to our table to get our orders, but he was nice. The food was good. It was nothing fantastic that you would crave going back but it was decent. I ordered the combo pick two. I got a chicken chimichanga and a ground beef taco. I've been going here for years and always look forward to it. tonight the service was acceptable but the food was disappointing. I asked for a Birria burrito and what came out was not what I ordered. Our wait staff took it back to the kitchen and what was brought back was a burrito filled w dry shredded beef and a cup of "birria" sauce. if you don't have what is asked for then be upfront and say so. The manager came to the table and explained that real Barria was made with goat which they do not serve there. He proceeded to credit us $2.25 after charging me a $4.99 up charge for the meal. So as I was having dinner tonight, I looked around and realized that the restrauteur at Azteca Mexican Grill had decorated a significant portion of the seating area with photos and accompanying biographical sketches of Mexican-American women, each who are extremely strong, positive role models. Pioneers & leaders in their respective fields of work, activists, & philanthropists. Great human beings. I think this is an absolutely fantastic & uplifting message of inclusion to put forth in the community. Well done Azteca Mexican Grill! As for the food it was fantastic! The aromas of spices was outstanding. I selected the Texas Fajitas - which were juicy and flavorfully prepared, AND there was plenty to take home and augment my breakfast or lunch tomorrow! The portion was reasonably priced. As I looked around to the 3 large tables my group occupied, I noted that the variety of food selected was varied and looked to also be well prepared. I heard no complaints and only saw smiles from our large party of 18!!! The restaurant was tidy, appeared to have a well stocked bar area and a small but nice patio in the front for outside dining. Staff were friendly and attentive, with the ordering process for our large group being efficient. The food arrived without to much of a wait time. Quite a few other tables were also taken, so it appears to be a busy and popular place to eat - at least on an early Thursday evening. We have been going to Azteca for years. However, over the years, the staff have become complacent with their jobs and have lost that "customer service" zeal. A lot of the employees are relatives of the owner and I get the feeling they really don't want to be there. It's sad because we really liked the atmosphere. We won't be going there in the future. read more

I have always loved Azteca!! I have gotten combos to grilled chicken Hawaiian fajitas, holy bomb. I love how they have a twist to Mexican food, a bit of a unique menu. They have margarita flights, which your girl loves. Mexican food is my fav, so you could call me a professional & Azteca is doing things right!! Keep up the good work y'all!! Wow! Brunch at Azteca was an unexpected treat! When we walked in, we weren't sure if there was an event because it looked so fancy! The buffet was filled with various breakfast casseroles with a Mexican flair. Egg dishes with chorizo, seasoned potatoes, and a Mexican lasagna were among our favorites. It was on the expensive side ($25pp I think) but well worth it. Pricing for the buffet is on a little specials placard on the table. read more

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night around 7:30. The two of us were able to be seated right away in a booth. We started out with the small guacamole, and then complimentary chips and salsa. I enjoyed the guac, salsa and chips. For our entree we split the chicken fajitas for two. This was a great portion size as we had lots of leftovers and were able to make breakfast tacos the next morning. The service was friendly. If you are vegetarian, please make sure you check your food. We found a piece of chicken in our food. And the server said, "it's probably just one!" Seriously, we were not expecting that kind of answer. They replaced the entrée, but really? The food is ok, I have had better. Started meal off with the Queso Fundido with Chorizo. Let me just say of all the Mexican restaurants that I have been to this one had the most Chorizo in the Queso. This was so good had to ask for additional tortilla chips. I also like any restaurant that gives a starter, free chips and salsa this was very good not to spicy. As for the Texas Fajitas how can you go wrong. Steak, chicken, and shrimp we just got the single portion and it was plenty. We did get additional tortilla wraps, so much food three wrap each was perfect. The place was a little slow when we was there, but service was on point. The food was very good. One negative: we ordered margaritas, assuming they would be regular size. Server brought two jumbo size, when we questioned the size he suggested we could take home what we didn't drink. We should have sent them back, but didn't--too socially awkward, I guess. When the bill came we had major sticker shock! Those jumbo margaritas cost $14 each! We did take home most of them. Mine is still sitting in the fridge. Would rather have back that $14! read more

I ordered the quesadilla fajita and it was delicious!!! The margarita on the rocks was good, but their salt game was very weak. Our kids had the 3 soft tacos with ground beef and the meat was spicy for even myself. Overall the restaurant was very good, but pricey for Mexican food. read more

Haven't been in here for a long time and they completely changed the decor, all the colorful chairs and tables were gone. This was what I liked about the place. It gave it the Mexican vibe , now it sorta looks like any other place. It looks nice but nothing to make me feel like I was in a Mexican restaurant. I was there on new year day during happy hour . We had a pitcher of margaritas which didn't have much kick to it which isn't unusual for happy hour. I always think places water down their drinks during happy hour. We had some nachos which were ok. The location is nuzzled in a shopping center and is easy to miss. The decor is unlike other. The owner is a fantastic guy and is very personable and funny. The food was very good and their tortillas are very good. I suggest taco salad or chicken fried burrito. read more

Just ate dinner here tonight. I'm not one to leave a bad review. I usually choose just not to go there again but the food here was pathetic. Got the chile relleno and as soon as it got to the table the rancid smell was overwhelming. Roasted poblano with cheese wrapped in an omelette, no egg batter...and old. I was there one evening and it was obvious the management does not respect their servers. One of the more senior servers was quick to be disrespectful to a server who made a simple mistake. The owner too is rude to the teenage servers who are there to help and earn money.
