    sausage with cheese omelette

BRING CASH!!! THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!!! Came here for brunch before the Barbie movie on the second day it was released. It was very lively and there was a short wait (10-15 min) because we wanted a booth seat. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of an old school diner which I think is soo charming. LOVED the omelettes, they were a lot of food for a reasonable price (both my bf and I could only finish half of ours, so we got a takeout box to go). Super standard, yummy diner food. I loved my veggie with cheese omelette but the sausage with cheese one was delicious as well. Would definitely come back again and next time I will learn my lesson and split the omelette instead of each getting one!

This might be my new favorite small local diner. It's a quintessential small diner with all your favorite traditional diner food. Like many other diners, there are no substitutions. Service was extremely friendly and super fast. It's very kid friendly. Prices are very reasonable, and there is abundant metered parking in the lot surrounding it. I'm a little unsure if it would be wheelchair friendly because of how the walkways are arranged as they are narrow. Be aware it's cash only, but there is an atm there you can use for $2.

Omg! You have to come here for the omelettes. They are absolutely huge and I could only eat a third. Made with 5-6 eggs for the same price as other breakfast places. Under $10.50 with Scali bread and home fries. Been in business here for over 30 years and the owner was a great guy. The help are all wonderful people as well, so no wonder it's a local to go place. Remember, cash only. That's how they keep prices low.

    Delicious bacon and eggs!

Had the best old school breakfast here havent been here in years and glad to see its still here! Great food, small place very busy , made to order may take a little while longer to get your food but worth it awesome stop!

The omelette w all the meats in it. Forgot the name.

Best breakfast around by far! Such an amazing deal too! Everything I've had here is so good but I usually come in the weekend mornings and the yummy sounding lunches aren't available . Anyways, breakfast is good. They always make perfect eggs and give you one extra! The meat lover equivalent omelette was great. Way too much food but full of bacon ham and sausage. What I really love here is the old school feel. The booths are perfect with the isles between. Cash only as it should be. I just wish they had upgradeable maple syrup, only like buttersworth type stuff.

Decent omelette w scali toast and ok home fries. Great hangover spot

This is your perfect hangover spot. This place will hit the spot when you need something really greasy and not to sure how to feel after. Prices are cheap and staff is nice. Old school type diner w a decent selection and something for everyone. It can be greasy but sometimes that's ok and needed. Tucked away behind Watertown square across from cvs w plenty of metered parking. You can certainly find worse in the area.

It was just a little after 2pm, my friend and I were starving and we wanted breakfast. Our first choice was the Breakfast Club in Allston but they closed at 2, unlike 3 which was what we thought. But we didn't want IHOP so we headed over here which was a little out of the way in Watertown, but DAMN, it was definitely worth it!! Distance and $$. She had the feta and spinach omelette and I had the meat omelette. both came with a side of home fries and a choice of taste. We opted for wheat. I don't think I can describe to the you the size of that omelette so i am hoping the picture will be better... The Meat Omelette: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/trescas-eating-place-watertown?select=LtEa1n3PH8lGxiF0JHb4MQ#HqcKHr4LMyBWa8SW0ltJfA. It literally took up the entire plate with very little room left. The inside was oozing of cheese with ham, bacon, sausages... The wheat toast was one of the best I've had. It's soft and fresh! My friend's Spinach and feta (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/trescas-eating-place-watertown?select=LtEa1n3PH8lGxiF0JHb4MQ#HoPBLWQVK2IvQ8GkjBtwPQ) was quite good too!! and again, humongus. I think there was enough for 3/4 people! Since we didn't know the size we ordered a size of bacon - for her, and a side of corned beef hash which i haven't had in years. I thought it would be served on a cup, because it is a side order. Here's what we got: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/trescas-eating-place-watertown?select=LtEa1n3PH8lGxiF0JHb4MQ#-x-Ahtm-dVErL8vPAdZ5Ow. It was an entire plate of food!! We couldn't finish it, ended up with another order to go!! LOL. Since we were the only customers left in the place, everyone was busy cleaning and we were not bothered or rushed to leave. The lady was so nice too. As we were leaving, everyone thanked us and wished us a nice day. Now that was one of the best services and pleasant places I've been to in a long time. And also the decor of the place is very old and rustic. It truly make you feel like you're in your local diner and time hasn't moved a second pass 1960. I totally love it!!

Three eggs over easy (I ordered two and they gave me three!) home fries, rye toast, bacon and a bottomless cup of coffee.

They also serve you through a window (looks like a makeshift drive-thru, or "walk-thru") which is cool, but I noticed the same girl was getting easily annoyed when customers weren't quick to receive their order. She also made my coffee in a unique way which really surprised me. They have a giant jug of iced coffee that they keep in the bottom cabinet, instead of having drip or brew. The coffee itself was pretty decent, though. My ham and cheese crepe was okay but there was not enough ham or cheese, it was mostly just egg. My friend's portion was also small but the food was good. I think I would give it another shot.

I ordered a Sara's omelette that includes three vegetables and 3 eggs. I chose spinach, mushroom and broccoli. I had fruit cup of melon, pineapple, cantaloupe and strawberries in lieu of toast and hash browns. The omelet was very good with lots of veggies inside. The fruit cup was on the small size but it beats additional carbs. I had to wait for my bill. I think they forgot about me. I finally had to get up and ask for bill. It wasn't too busy - there are 6ish tables and one server was waiting tables. She was very warm and friendly. I ordered two eggs over easy and my husband got an omelet. The food was decent, and prices are so affordable. However the potatoes were very bland and hard, and portion was small. Also they had forgotten the potatoes in my order although it comes with the meal but I mentioned it and it was corrected. We also ordered the Belgian waffle to share which definitely isn't "Belgian" style but it was good! Overall decent, I'd come again just for the cozy, warm vibe. The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.
