Tourists beware... I was manipulated and trapped inside a room for a consult with a "medical professional" who used predatory practices in order for me to purchase their product. I purchased a tube of cream for over $400, which was returned, and I never received a refund. It was an awful, traumatizing and triggering experience. I didn't want to meet with this "consultant," but they insisted that I was one of two people who received this opportunity (free consult) in one week. You will be taken advantage of and the level of disrespect was on another level. I was told that a poor person could afford what I couldn't. This experience ruined the majority of my vacation and they don't care about you, your body or skin. These people use predatory practices to take advantage of you. I thought I had a connection with the man there as he put it on my face and we spent about 20 mins together. He even gave me a hug at the end of the purchase! But their card machine was not working, stepped outside to get cash and paid a large amount for the items in cash. The next day they charged my card again for the same amount. I am writing this review seven months after being ripped off by Giovanni at this store. The once-a-week eye cream that is supposed to last a year ran out after six months and the daily one is useless. Whatever lotion they are using for their demos is not the product you take home. I took both products to a Beverly Hills skin specialist. He rolled his eyes when he saw them and said, "So, you know it's a con, right?" Yeah. I knew. But I think it's important to let people know that Tresor Rare are still operating and still being total skunks to people who just want to improve their looks and well-being. In spite of numerous bad reviews on Yelp and with the Better Business Bureau (where their friends are unable to leave positive reviews in attempt to bolster the bad) they are still stealing people's money. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Zero zero stars. These salespeople preyed on my mother in law visiting from out of town. Convinced her to pay $200 for some face cream and then started telling her for an extra $30 she could get other products. They started throwing products in her bag and saying this is an extra bonus and no charge. It was very whirlwind for her. Later when looking at the receipts we noticed she was charged $3000. When my husband went back with her to return the products they said that they had said $30 a month for five years.....and a strict no refund policy. When calling mall security the security said this happens often with this business and asked us to please call the cops and the mall management. The police said it is a civil matter. As a nurse and a person of integrity - STAY away - do not go in the store. They trap you with strong sales techniques and a large photo of Mariah Carey - who is "endorsing" the product. I asked the salesgirl if the eye lifting cream was ALL natural - she stated "oh YES - completely ALL natural - no worries". She proceeded to slather on a pink "milk" cream product to remove my eye concealer then put a "syringe" eye cream product that is supposed to lift and smooth wrinkles (it is some type of astringent)...I could feel some action occurring. I looked at my face when we got home ~ 30 min later - I had a large rash on my cheek and burning sensation- washed off the product - rash wouldn't go away for ~ 3 hours. I proceeded to look at the ingredient list (over 20 ingredients long) & the last 2 ingredients (did research on valid organic, chemical society, evidence-based websites) - are synthetic, cosmetic fragrance. I took the product back and did get a full refund (grateful for that) and told the salesman working there today - "your sales person mentioned it was ALL natural, but it is not"... he stated "YES - it is ALL natural" - I told him the last 2 ingredients are synthetic"... then he back tracked and said "well, it's hypoallergenic, most of our products are all natural, this one not - you need some chemicals to do the lifting work".... So disappointed & and to top it off - he tried selling me an LED device that "would be great for your sensitive skin" - "no chemicals" and your insurance would pay for it!... Moey and Luca are full of sh!t. They use high pressure sales and apply some horribly drying stuff with their own dirty hands to your face. I told them I did not want it if it messed up my make-up and sunscreen, and I told them right off the bat that I was not going to buy anything. They don't listen--just keep pressuring you and telling you what a great deal it is, especially Luca. When I later went to the restroom in one of the department stores I was horrified to see that cr@p they had put on my face was peeling like I had a sunburn under my eyes. I had to wipe all of my make-up and sunscreen off, and then the area was very red. I'm a college student and I'm wise beyond my years, so I happen to know that places like these will SCAM you. My best friend and I were out shopping and when we had just started, we walked by the place and this man was handing out free samples. As we walked by, the man was like "I'll give you this sample if you give me your phone number!" I was DISGUSTED. My friend said, "Thanks, but no thanks," and we continued with our shopping day. A few hours later, we finished shopping (we went to Victoria's Secret and Long's Drug Store) and we happened to walk by the same place where the same man said the same thing again. This time it was different. My friend WALKS towards the store and I was like, "I can't just leave her there, by herself, with creepy guys trying to get our phone numbers for a "Free" sample," so I followed her. Next thing I know, he practically RUSHES us into a weird small room with a TV. He began to talk about this facial cream and moisturizer and tested it on our skin. I was about to say "NO" and get out of there, but he kept interrupting me. He then asked to see both of our ID's, to which I ended up pulling out my Military ID (this is important). He continued talking about the product and how it was $1000 for both of the products. He mentioned how Mariah Carey is basically the "face" of the brand and that's when I realized i was about to get scammed. He could obviously see the concern on my face and my friends face, to which he then lowered the price to $400 and because he was clearly nervous because of my ID. I was super sketched out at this point and I wanted to leave, but it felt like we couldn't. Almost like we were being held hostage. The creepy mans friend comes out of nowhere and starts to compliment my friend and I. He told me he's seen me before (which creeped me out even more, but I'm assuming it was a tactic to distract my friend and I). I begin to explain to them that my friend and I are college students and we're both paying enough for tuition as it is and tried to leave. The creepy man then lowers the price to $160 and told my friend and I we could spilt the price and pay $80 each. The next thing I know he hands us each a bag with the product in it and TAKES my best friends debit card away from her and tells us to follow him. He begins to total out the purchase and i MADE SURE to look at the screen he was looking at while doing so. He begins to enter her card information into whatever system they have, then completes the purchase (it wasn't a POS system like most department stores or any stores have) WITHOUT HER EVER AGREEING TO PURCHASE THE ITEM. At this point i'm like "Well fantastic, my best friend just paid for half of this purchase, so i'm basically forced to pay for the other half." I say forced because I did NOT know what they were going to do to us if we only paid for half then ran out of there. After I paid, he asked for both of our debit cards AGAIN to "verify information" which was suspicious because NO business does this, at least none that I could think of. Once we got our debit cards back he practically forced us to follow him on instagram and dm him a "Nice review" When we finally got back to our dorm, he messaged me on instagram inviting me to a "pool party" and that his friend (the one in the store who said he's seen me before) thinks i'm cute and wants to get to know me. I declined politely and BLOCKED him. Moral of this review: DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS STORE. After arriving back in Waikiki from travels to the main land my girlfriend was pleasantly surprised to find at her surprise party that she got the two bedroom of the same product. Rachel was so kind and understanding that she personally called the manager to see if they could return 1 set the morning after their return deadline had passed. It was so reliving not hearing NO the moment we walked in the store. The team was very accommodating and didn't try to up or resale us any other products. I was walking by store and coerced inside. Guy demonstrated eye serum which made a huge improvement however I have not been able to achieve same results myself at home. After walking out with two products costing $800 I was given a voucher for "free" facial. I went back the next day and had facial and then hard sell starts. There are stories about family members suffering from skin problems etc. The guy even said Jennifer Aniston was a client. I felt very intimidated by salesman which was stupid but he got annoyed when I wasn't showing interest. The upshot was I walked out with $4000 worth of product. I know I sound like a complete idiot and if I was reading this would think why didn't she just walk out? This was on second day of my holiday in Honolulu and ruined my trip to Hawaii. I read reviews online and saw that this is how company operates and I am not alone. The guy was going to email me and guide me through products but no contact has been made since I walked out the door. So, there I was, my first full day in Waikiki, and I'm struttin' down Kalakaua Ave. not even caring about the tourist traps and selfie-stick fools because I just had a wonderful massage at the Waikiki Banyan -- holla at my girl, Katrina! I was on a hunt for frozen yogurt, but then this woman pops up in front of my face and tells me my skin is "amazing", and she had some free samples inside to help keep up my "amazing" face. Usually I would have stopped right there and said, "Nope. Nope. And nope.", but I was in the market for some under-eye cream. I was transferred over to a man with some acne blemishes and explained that he would be my "skin-care specialist". I chuckled thinking, "Please, dude. You work retail. You're a sales person on commission." I let him go on and on living his deranged dermatologist fantasy and sputtering about how their products contain "diamond dust and pearls". I snorted a few times trying not to burst out laughing at how ridiculous their sales spiel was. Then, this might be my favorite part, he rubbed some chunky skin scrub on my arm and as he rubbed it in, he told me that those chunks coming off was dead skin. No. That's the product. If I rub saw dust on my arm, that's not dry skin falling off. It's saw dust. (This guy definitely failed physics.) Even if I was sanding tree trunks all day in the Sahara, I wouldn't have that much dry skin. It was getting far too entertaining to get up and leave at this point. I am not one to fall for scams, but I thought, "Hey, if he wants to rub some black-market diamonds (or QVC-grade cubic zirconia) on my face and get rid of my fine lines, knock yourself out, brother." Each time I scooted away from him, he would grab my hand and pull my knee in to brush his crotch area. He kept telling me to move my bag, and I said, "No, I'm using it as my barricade against you." He said, "I'm not try to sell you anything. You so beautiful, you so funny, you no need to buy anything. I tell you secret. I give you discount. See this eye cream? $1,000. For you, free. Free with this skin polish for $299." I told him that unless he moved that decimal two places to the left, he was wasting my time and that I just want some fro-yo. One of the ploys by their creep team on the street is to compliment, ask a person's age, and then say how they do NOT look their age one bit. You say, "I'm 39.", and then your "skin-care specialist" (eye roll goes here) say, "Let me guess...your skin looks like you're about 39, but with this product, you could look 24." Then they expect you to look at them like a magician and say, "Oh my GOD! I AM 39! How did you know?!" I can't believe people fall for that crap. The best part, and others on Yelp have said the same, is when you tell for real that you don't want to buy anything, they get insulting. This salesman pulled my arm and said, "You HAVE to do something about your pores. They're HUGE!" No, dude. I HAVE to do something about the children of Syria. You HAVE to do something about your acne if you continue selling skin-care products. Don't tell me that my pores are too big because I got 99 problems, and my pores ain't one. He didn't know what to say when I said I'm proud of my laugh lines either. What's really funny is when they try to tell you how serious they are about you as a person and your skin care and take you in a back room that looks pretty similar to that room where Robin Williams gets fitted for his Mrs. Doubtfire face. They want to talk to you one-on-one to tell you that your skin is a serious problem, and you have to, again, do something about it or the world will implode. This is a good time to walk out and to tell those people to get a real job. Take them up on the free facial, just put your ear buds in so you don't have to listen to excessive amounts of b.s., and wash that acidic crap off right after, or you'll get a rash -- there's some public beach showers a couple blocks down. Oh! Also, on my way out, there was a Japanese girl standing around, and I told her, "Your skin is so beautiful!" and I said to the sales people, "HER skin is beautiful. It's like porcelain. You guys need to be selling what she uses!" and the little Ukrainian creep man said, loudly enough for her to hear, "No, you don't want her Asian skin. She is wearing a lot of makeup (no, she wasn't), and when you wipe that away, it's just layers and layers of sun damage." I now have layers and layers of emotional damage for allowing myself to waste 20 minutes in this upscale dump instead of doing what truly matters in life -- finding some fro-yo. read more

I got some amazing products from Tresor Rare on my trip to Hawaii. I am extremely picky with what I put on my skin, especially because I have sensitive skin that dries up quickly. Tami was helping me when I went a couple weeks ago and she knew exactly what I needed. The employees there are extremely knowledgeable about all the products and their benefits and because of that, my skin has not been as dry since I've been using it. Ask for Tami when you go!! This business tried to sell a device that uses red LED that was "made by NASA" to firm up and lessen the look of wrinkles on my mom's face. She bought a small one since there were two sizes, and the device turned out hotter than the device they used at the store which is really concerning. It's also weird that they drop prices down just specially for you. The middle eastern accented saleswoman there offered my mom a free facial worth something something like $300, and was told not to be late or we wouldn't get a facial at all. By the time we got the appointment, a "specialist" from NY came in to do the facial, and it turned out to be another sales ploy to convince my mom to buy the much more expensive, and bigger device. He mostly tested products on my mom's neck. They even offered a number of "complimentary" products with it for the price. We said no, we didn't really have the spending money for it since it was too much, and then the saleswoman got very confrontational with us, asking us why we would walk in here, how we even heard about the store, did we not understand what great of a deal the specialist was doing for us and that he was only here for a day. The specialist that tried to sell the bigger device with the complimentary stuff, nice guy. The saleswoman? I definitely wouldn't want to let my mom enter this store ever again in the future. The saleswoman spoke to us like we did something wrong and as if we were stupid to not buy their products. I got very annoyed with her and her attitude. I would recommend people to spend their money elsewhere for skincare. This store is not worth it. I don't know if other Tresor Rare stores are like this, or if their staff is trained with this kind of attitude towards customers. But I definitely did not feel comfortable buying anything from them, and I don't think my mom did either.
