I always say...there are two professionals you don't want having an off day - your surgeon and your stylist! Thankfully, I've never experienced an off day with either. I've been going to Tricia at Tresses for over 6 years now, and I've never been disappointed. She is a genius with color and hightlights and a master in cuts and style. I'm even able to style my hair so it looks just as great as the day it was first done. Tricia has been performing miracles on my friends and entire family as well, including "my guys". My mom drives in from Union City because she says it's so worth it! I believe, for women, a huge part of having our hair done is the experience. Tresses is a very nice, clean salon, and all the stylists there are very sweet and seem to really enjoy their jobs. However, for Tricia, you'll find it's more than just a job to her, it's her calling and a genuine God-given talent. She is very sweet, has a very upbeat and fun personality, and really cares about your hair - but you'll soon find that she really cares about her clients even more. As I said, I've been going to Tricia every month for over 6 years and never have I been disappointed - and she's NEVER had an off day. I've been to many salons in Tracy that I have not been too happy with either the customer service that I have gotten or with the outcome of my hair... So I started to look around AGAIN thinking, what do I have to lose. I read some reviews about Tresses and actually, one of my girlfriends told me that she has been going there and going there for a few years and that she has been SO HAPPY with the customer service and she also mentioned that when you go in there that you don't feel awkward or get dirty looks from people, like I have before when going to other salons in Tracy.... Anyway I gave it a shot called and was so happy that I had. I seen my new stylist TIFFANY and she was Amazing, so nice and listened to what I wanted and definitely gave me exactly that! She colored my hair, gave me a awesome cut and styled it for me too. I'm so happy that I listened to my friend and she was RIGHT!! Tresses Salon has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I woke up this morning and decided I wanted a haircut. I called Tresses (after reading some reviews from Yelp) and told the person who answered that I needed an appointment within the hour. I got a call back from Laura who said she could squeeze me in if I could get there in 15 minutes. When I was seated in Laura's chair, she asked me if I would like a cup of coffee which I thought was very nice since. I wasn't sure what style I wanted, but Laura listened to me and helped me decide on a style. She was very nice and we had a very enjoyable conversation as she cut my hair. When she was done, my hair looked amazing, I got compliments all day on my new haircut. She really knows what she is doing and has great suggestions for what will look good on you. I have found my new go to stylist. The salon is small and cozy, I believe it was a home that was converted into a salon. Nothing fancy or glamorous, but clean and cute. I got my hair done yesterday for the second time with Jolene. Prior to Jolene I was living in Vegas, and I felt a little apprehensive about getting my hair done by someone new. My friend was already going to Jolene and I liked her hair, so I went for it. I walked into the salon with brown hair and a grown out bob and left with blonde hair cut into an A-line bob and a hot pink feather in my hair. I was very happy with the results. Yesterday I got an ever shorter, more cleaned up A-line bob and went blonder. I have received SO many compliments on my hair by friends and random people in public places. I had another feather extentsion put in, although, if I would have brought the first feather back in with me, Jolene would have put it in my hair free of charge. I am very picky and I feel that Jolene surpasses my standards. I will be moving in a couple of months and I wish I could take her with me. :-) Obviously, I highly reccomend Jolene! read more

I haven't really done much to my hair in the past and really wanted to try something new. I wanted an ombre or balyage or whatever it's called and I looked on Yelp to find a stylist to do it. I found MOLLY at tresses and I am so happy I did! All her pictures help a lot too, which in return helped me feel more comfortable once I got to the salon. Molly ensured me my hair would be in good condition in the end and made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the process. She explained every detail as to what she was doing and why, explained to me realistic expectations for my hair as far as how light of a blonde id be by the end of the appointment. I got really lucky in scheduling with Molly and can't imagine seeing a different stylist. ALSO- everyone seemed really nice at tresses. I called in to get pricing after my stylist at a different salon canceled on me an hour before my appointment. But I needed my hair done that day. After calling a few salons to get prices, I called Tresses and she quoted me $135 for a cut, full color, and full highlight. Which is cheaper than the stylist I usually go to. when I arrived I was greeted by a few of the ladies and my stylist Nicole was already ready for me to come back. (Which was pleasantly surprising .) I showed her a picture of what I was wanting and when she was finished it looked practically identical to the picture, styled like it and everything. The women who work there are all very nice and helpful-- and absolutely willing to listen to your crazy stories and ideas about what you want to do with your hair. I've been a client of Stephanie Espinoza for over 20 years. She takes her time and is very professional. Molly did beyond an amazing good job on my cut & color! She took my long (down to my lower back) brown hair and cut it to my collar bone and mixed caramel highlights with the brown. I was so nervous about cutting my hair because I treat my hair like my baby and she was so sweet & reassured me that everything was going to be okay! I absolutely LOVE it! Hair By Nicki I have been going to Nicki for a few years now and I have never been disappointed. She goes out of her way to accommodate me and my family for all our hair needs. Thank you Stephanie! I just moved to the area and got my hair trimmed with Stephanie. I love my hair cut! She recommended layers, so I went with that and they look great. My hair is bouncy, sexy, and nicely cleaned up. She was able to keep the length as I requested. I could tell she really studied the type of hair I had and went with what would work well. Molly has been dying my hair for about three years now and she's brilliant! We were dying it a bright, vibrant red up until recently, where I decided to transition back to my natural hair color blonde. While she was applying the color, I mentioned that it looked orange/red and asked if my hair was going to turn that color. She reassured me it wouldn't, but my hair ended up bright red. I was there from 3:30 PM until 9:00 PM, then had to return at 8:00 AM the next morning for her to correct it. Unfortunately, the correction left my hair dark burgundy and still red. I ultimately had to go to Serenity Salon and pay again to have my hair completely corrected. I understand color results can vary, but I repeatedly communicated NO red/orange through text and in person and unfortunately received exactly what I asked to avoid. I lost hours over two days, spent additional money, and had to put my hair through more processing because of this. Very disappointing experience. I went in thinking I was going to have my dream hair for wedding and birthday next month but this was something else. Thank goodness for serenity's professionals. After everything that happened with my hair, I reached out to the salon owner because I felt she should be aware of my experience at her salon. Shortly afterward, the stylist contacted me directly and told me that because she rents there, I needed to deal with her and told me not to "sit there and complain" to the owner. I found this extremely unprofessional and honestly disturbing. As a paying customer, I should be able to contact the owner of the salon where I received my service without receiving a confrontational message afterward. I was simply trying to address my concerns after an already upsetting experience with my hair. The way my complaint was handled made the entire situation even more uncomfortable and disappointing. I was also advised that other stylists were laughing at my situation by another friend that went there mentioning to do voodoo doll on me. Regardless of whether she intended it as a joke, after everything that happened with my hair and the way this situation was handled, I did not find that funny at all. Truly disgusting behavior my hair was completely ruined and I have to wait years to ever touch it again.

The stylists try all of the products and are knowledgable of them as well. The salon is appointment based, but I have been told they will try to fit walk-ins as well. I would suggest booking an appointment! I have been coming to Sylvia at Le Mirage for years! She is the sweetest person you will ever meet and she does wonders for your hair! My whole family comes to her cause she is simply amazing! Recently she turned me from a dark haired brunette into a blonde and I have never received so many compliments on my hair! Honestly, I thought no one would be fond of my change but everyone loved it and always mention how well my hair stylist did on the transformation! Although my hair has been through a lot of processing to make the blonde possible, it still looks really healthy and natural. She did not just bleach it into a flat blonde, rather she took a different approach. While this approach was a little more time consuming, it made all the difference. My hair still looked healthy and natural and people notice! I couldn't be happier with it! What I love about Sylvia is that she is honest. She is concerned with the overall health of your hair and will let you know if she feels that a desired look will be too taxing or damaging to your hair. I have also heard great things about the other stylists in this salon, so don't be afraid to make an appointment with any of the ladies that work here! The service here is fantastic and the pricing is definitely great for the outcome. Yes, you will pay salon prices but you will not be disappointed.

I hired this stylist after submitting a Yelp project specifically requesting an ombré color service…read morefor a 100% human-hair wig. I provided reference photos beforehand and confirmed multiple times that the requested look could be achieved. The wig was returned soaking wet, so I could not fully evaluate the color result until I got home and it dried. Once dry, the outcome looked significantly different from the ombré example I had provided. Instead of a more blended, uniform transition, the color appeared more streaked/highlighted than expected. When I contacted the stylist immediately, she initially stated she would fix it. However, after I sent comparison photos of the requested look versus the actual result, she later declined to make further corrections or provide a refund. I appreciate the time spent on the service, but I was disappointed by the final outcome and how the resolution was handled. Based on my experience, I would recommend that future clients make sure there is very clear agreement in writing regarding the expected final color result before proceeding with service.
