I could have spent all afternoon there, reading and sipping. But I had places to be. If I stayed longer I might have tried some of the food. It's more in the line of light snacks than an actual meal, mostly cold, but they were more interesting than the standard charcuterie plate offered by similar venues, and I liked that they listed the country or state of origin of everything. For dessert, how about a slice of cheesecake from Chill's of Warren, RI - or a flight of 3 for $21! Beer lovers, don't fear Coastal Bubbles. Menu listed five, all of which I've never heard of, from Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Portugal, sure to interest the connoisseur. The menu that day included 25 wines by the glass. Their high-tech "Coravin System" keeps the open bottles fresh, and my Croation Matsuško was flawless in that respect. Port lovers might try the "100 Years Of Port Flight": the 10, 20, 30, and 40 year vintages of Van Zellers. I'll be doing that next time, with the cheesecake.

When I googled the definition of a wine bar it mentioned they offer flights which they did not offer. I wonder how so many restaurants can call themselves actual wine bars yet by definition not follow the recommendations. Sigh! Anyways, we ordered some drinks and their Fried Mozzarella which was amazing. The sauce was very well balanced. Then we shared their special meatball and ricotta pizza. Parking is spread out in that area, and one-way arrows exist, but not enough of them.

The service was really bad. Every time we asked for a spoon or a refill we need to remind the server. The coffee was also really bad. Cold and burnt. The type that when you add cream it doesn't begin to change color. I could have added a pint of 1/2 & 1/2 and it would have stayed dark. Maybe this is why we weee able to get a reservation for 7:15 at 5 pm today. That should have been a red flag. I won't be back!
