Renae, the manager, along with his entire team, was outstanding. Attentive, warm, and clearly passionate about what they do, they made sure everything ran seamlessly and that every guest felt genuinely cared for. The setting itself is just as memorable as the meal. Wide wood floors, exposed beams, and the subtle, comforting scent of a wood burning stove create a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for a celebration or a quiet night out. I've found this restaurant to be one of the best ones around. Scargo is one of the reasons why travelers shouldn't skip Route 6A. The French onion soup is quite good, with a nice beefy broth and a generous amount of cheese. It's nice that the restaurant offers bread, which is becoming a rarer occurrence. The entree portions are quite strong. The lemon flounder filets were nicely pan-fried and not overcooked. The seafood strudel has a good amount of seafood, including a lot of shrimp and smaller scallops. I don't think they have the cioppino anymore but that was also a quality entree as well. Service has always been friendly and professional. The servers are good at making friendly conversation without dragging down efficiency.
