However, when we were leaving, we noticed that the indoor tables we had been told were reserved were still empty. In fact, they appeared to have never been reserved at all. That was extremely frustrating because we would have gladly sat inside if we had simply been told the truth from the beginning. Jess was pleasant enough when we first arrived, but toward the end of our meal, the service became noticeably inconsiderate. Our dishes were left piled on the table while we were given the check, rather than having the table cleared and maintained appropriately. It made the end of the dining experience feel rushed and neglected. After finishing our meal, we asked to speak with a manager to express our concerns. Unfortunately, the only resolution we received was an apology. An apology is appreciated, but in this situation, it did not address the larger issue. The experience left me feeling that we were treated differently for not having a reservation, despite the restaurant having plenty of available seating. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to Marietta Proper.
