Update: It is now 2 years and about 50,000 miles later and our truck is still running and shifting beautifully.

I chose EDS for my car's suspension issue because of all of the good reviews here on YELP, but…read moreunfortunately my experience was poor. My Toyota Corolla started making a loud rumbling noise above 40 mph, so I called EDS, and explained my situation. I live in Bartlett, and work in Wisconsin, so I need my car to be reliable. Because Geneva is the opposite direction from where I work, I had to drop my car off after hours, as well as pick it up again after hours. They told me I needed my right front wheel bearing replaced, and after they did that, they called to tell me that the left front bearing was making noise too, so they ended up replacing both of these bearings, for a total of $940. When I picked up the car, the same noise was still there. As far as they are away from me, and after them clearly mis-diagnosing my problem twice, I called another closer, highly rated place, and explained my situation. They fixed the problem (a rear wheel bearing, not the fronts) for $337. To add insult here, when working on my car, the guy at EDS tried to talk me into $200 worth of brake work that I did not need. I am not a trouble maker by nature, and as I stated, I chose EDS because of the high number of positive reviews, so maybe they just had a bad day, but this time they CLEARLY got it wrong, and it cost me a lot of money.

Sadly this used to be a great shop. But over the last two years forget it. They worked on my cars…read morefor years. I should have learned my lesson the last time. They fixed the so called problem and then a few days later it was back in the shop for a new code that mysteriously popped up and in the end cost me a lot more money. This time had a engine light on again and a coolant leak bad radiator ok, how much it came to just under $1700 the car is older with a lot of miles so I asked do you see anything else because it would not be worth it for me to put much more into it. They said no, nothing visible. Well they fix the radiator and the coded item, great I will get one more year out of it. NOPE, I got a day and a half drove it back to the shop no issues except for a engine light on again and guess what, another code that didn't appear just a few days ago. Amazing, this time they want to repair my vehicle that was at least running for another $2000 WTF, I passed picked up the car and it died on me 3 times trying to get it home which is only a mile away. I should have left well enough alone. At least the car ran before they played with it this time. Called the shop to see if they put it all back together correctly and of course they did but how does a car go from running to not even being able to? They simply said yeah that' s unfortunate, lol not for shop. Save your money find a better place they will steal your money.
