Mike and Ben did a fantastic job installing several recessed lights, and troubleshooting problems we had with dead outlets in our kitchen. They were also able to fix a problem with the switches in our hallway. They arrived on time and had everything they needed with them. Our house is old, so things were not straightforward with the existing wiring. However, they stayed late to make sure the job was done that day. They also figured out some very creative ways to address some complicated switching requests we had for our living room. When they left, our house was clean, and there were no "lose ends." TPE installed recessed LED lights throughout our entire townhouse (completely changing the feel of the place), as well as tackled several obnoxious and unexpected electrical needs like installing dedicated line for a washer/dryer, and rerouting some troublesome lines to prep for demo. Mike B is an amazing electrician. We wanted to install recessed lights in our house. When Mike visited the house, he carried all the different recessed lights. He guided me through the LED lights and we decided to go with the 4" LED lights. His quote was also reasonable and we decided to go with him. They say that a good electrician will do minimum cuts to the drywall. Mike fits the bill. He also carries a inspection camera which has a probe to survey the inside so that he does not have to cut the drywall. Overall the work was amazing and we installed 28 LED recessed lights. We also moved the TV over the fireplace and did a bunch of other things like putting a new electrical circuit in the garage. read more

Mike from Tri-Phase Electric is one of the most responsive people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I hired him to do a wiring job we needed quickly in November 2016 when we bought a CNC machine. He found time to fit me in and did a great job. He also guarantees his work for 5 years. So, when the machine stopped working in April, and we found out it was that the breaker blew, he immediately came out, swapped the breakers, and didn't charge me a thing, and we were right back up and running. As we moved on to a new CNC machine and a second machine this past week, he again came in with a reasonable quote and found the time to fit me in quickly. The fact that he'll work with me via text in the evening, after normal working hours, to help quote a job I knew I needed done quickly, speaks volumes. Small business owners, and hardworking people in general, will do what it takes to get the job done, even outside of normal operating hours. He knew I had a business to run and I needed the services performed quickly. He'll always give you options too, so don't be afraid to discuss alternatives. MIke put some recessed lights in our living room and entry way a few years back. He did a great job, but like others have said...MAKE SURE he or you put down drop cloths! We have hardwood floors and he's left some dents behind. I would even put large flattened card board boxes for protection next time. Learned the hard way! I started to collect bids on installing recessed lights in my living room a couple of weeks ago. Called a couple of contractors for estimate and the first one is Mike. He came very on time. He was friendly, and immediately gave me a very reasonable quote on LED cree-6 lights with everything included. I got another two bids from another electrician company, and a general contractor. Both electricians sound professional and showed good knowledge about lights. I like Mike's detailed recommendations on lights since I had no idea about lights yet. Moreover, Mike's price is very attractive compared to the other electrician. The general contractor's bid is similar range but I am quite confident on his recommendation. Meanwhile, I started to do some homework about the size and sources of lights. I visited a couple of friends' home and asked around. My living room is about 8'x14'. As I learned more, I leaned towards 4-inch recessed lights. I kept exchanging emails with Mike, asking his opinions. He showed great patience and really good knowledge not only on current technology but also near future trend. In the end, he came out with a very good plan and suggested installing 4" low-voltage recessed lights for my room for now. I can upgrade them to LED in the near future. He will install hardware compatible with LED. He also cares about details, telling me he would choose dimmers that are compatible, too. Also told me a remote will be available soon that works with both low-voltage and LED lights. ... After 10-20 emails exchanges, we set the plan and he gave me a very reasonable price with everything included. He came in on time, and installed 8 recessed lights within one day. I also asked him to replace my old shaky power sockets which he happily did without extra charge. He even waived the cost on the sockets as well as one old switch to pair with the new two free dimmers he installed. The whole job was neatly done and the lights turn out to be so nice. I look forward to the future upgrade but even as it is now, I am very happy. I wish I knew his service earlier. I had some lights installation done a year ago by a general contractor. I had no idea what kind of lights to choose. The general contractor wasn't able to provide many suggestions. The experience is not comparable to Mike's service at all. Same-day call same-day service... Well beyond our expectations!! Had some trouble in a subpanel with and arcing (literally humming & buzzing) breaker, called and spoke with the owner (Mike)...he asked for a detailed description of the problem we were having. He then said that we had serious safety issue with this situation in our sub panel and said he would show up within the hour to take a look and diagnose but needed to call his current customer to make room for a quick service call to us us which was a huge relief. He was actually out in 25 minutes, shut off the main power and told us that he will be back to correct the problem when he was done with his pre-prescheduled appointment. Mike was very helpful explaining the different light options and what works best for lighting our home. We are very glad to go with the lights Mike recommended to us (LED lights). They really make our home look nice and bright with professional installation, friendly service, great price, and overall, Mike is a great guy. He even came out to put the lights back up after our home contractor finished with the house painting (free of charge..just a friendly smile).
