I brought her in twice because she was peeing blood and was prescribed medication, but it didn't help at all. After those visits, it was suggested that we come back three days later for a urine culture. At that point, though, we had already spent around $200 ($500+ all together), and we just couldn't afford another visit. Since she still wasn't getting any better, I decided to take her to Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital for a second opinion. They performed a urinalysis and urine culture that same visit, found the cause of her UTI, prescribed the right medication, and she started getting better almost immediately. I understand that treatments don't always work the first time, but it was frustrating to spend money on two visits, not see any improvement, and then have to go somewhere else to finally get answers. I just wish a more thorough approach had been taken from the beginning. Thankfully, my dog is doing much better now.

I wish to leave this…read moreexcellent review for Samantha aka: Sara and, another employee named Samantha...she has dark hair and for my Cairn Terrier's dog named Scruffy"s Vet whose Vet's name is Dr., Sandeep Chahal DVM who all really and I mean really...helped me, "especially today on 7/14@ with me being able to go into the Lodi Animal Hospital with no appt, in-kinda a crisis self mode due to my 12.5 yr old dog named Scruffy, passing away on 7/5/26 and, me missing my furbaby with severe sadness, hear breaking bot being able to sleep much as I have to focus on other things and therefore, not be in master bedroom where he slept etc. I mean I had to purchase several stuffed animals and place them in different parts of our house to feel like he still here. Anyway, today 7/14/26 an employee named Samantha aka Sara who is so sweet and was always there for Scruffy and me on all his past visits and today 7/14/26 3 employees really helped me during this time of grief. A dark haired Samantha helped me today by saying Scruffy, knows how you feel right now, he knows...and, I totally believed that as well and, as I arrived home a song was playing and I heard, "I know, I know and how ironic I heard that just as I was getting out of my CRV. It was most definitely a sign from Scruffy in Heaven to me today 7/14/2026 with the help of God. Praise God and this rating is a 10! They are Top Gun...The Best Of The Best! I have always received kind, caring and compassionate care and help and service from Animal Hospital Ham Lane in Lodi Ca. for me and, my beloved dog named Scruffy. We came in at 4:30 pm and were told we would not be seen for at least another 45 minutes, despite the fact we had an appointment. Parking is terrible and we had to park at Walgreens. We only needed a simple Rabies vaccination. We could not wait another 45 minutes ( at least) so we rescheduled the appointment. On Tuesday 7/8/25 , we had another appointment set for 5 pm for a simple rabies vaccine. We arrived before 5 pm, checked in and were told once again it would be another 45 minutes despite the fact that we had an appointment. Their excuse for two weeks in a row was "emergencies". Something is wrong with their appointment system and needs to be analyzed and fixed. We could not wait another 45 minutes and neither could others who said they had been waiting a long time and could wait no longer. We had to walk out because we nor others could not wait any longer. Unfortunately we will be changing Vets to someone who can manage their appointments better.

I was nervous to get it done but realized it was necessary for her future health. I used to bring my Cats here for care but they have since passed on. I decided to bring my Katie here for her spay surgery. This was her first visit here. I arrived around 8:30am to drop off Katie on her surgery day. The gal at the front desk on Aug 28th greeted me with kindness and that relieved me. The Vet tech who came out to the lobby was also friendly and greeted my dog with a compliment and lots of welcome strokes across her head and upper body. I could tell she loved dogs and Katie was not nervous to go in back with her to start the procedure. Last time I was here, Dr. McCullough worked here. She has since passed so they advised me that Dr. Lynn Muller (from ACT Spay & Neuter, Stockton) was helping them out for surgeries. I did not get a chance to meet her, however, I hear good things about ACT so I went by that. I picked up Katie around 4:30pm that same day. She came out to the lobby to greet me like nothing had happened. She looked good. Not drugged out or nervously excited to get the heck out of there! What a relief! My fur baby was fine! Hallelujah! Ashley even helped me get Katie into the back of my SUV. They gave me a pain med pill to take home with me and advised that she take it easy (no jumping). The price was great also! Less than $300! Katie is doing great. The small incision healed well on her belly after a week. No oozing or irritation. They use surgical glue so you don't have to return to remove sutures. She can't wait to start her long dog walks soon. Based on my experience, I recommend Cherokee Vet and Dr. Muller for spaying your fur baby. Thank you Dr. Muller and staff!

My cat was a complicated patient and Dr. Yao was able to successfully manage her IBD, catch and treat her pre-diabetes, and so much more. I never felt like I was left without options or without care. Her care for her patients and their owners is unmatched. There was one time I had to go to another local vet after closing hours and I experienced very little done, poor communication, and no test results for days. The next day, I went to Dr. Yao and received imaging, treatment, medication, and results the same day for the same price. The front desk receptionist, Deanna, is also incredibly kind.
