To be honest, a lot of gyms here miss the mark, with outdated techniques, a lack of real conceptual teaching, and instruction that doesn't account for body differences or adaptability. Sometimes it feels like you're just learning what works for the instructor, not what could work for you. Logos is different though. This is the first place I've trained where I genuinely feel like growth is the priority for everyone in the room. There's no ego, no weird politics, no sense that you have to prove you belong. You're given space to figure things out, to ask questions, to actually understand what you're doing and not just copy it and it really shows. The blue belts here are solid. You can tell the teaching sticks. The techniques I've learned at Logos are things I actually use and build on in my day-to-day training, and for the first time in a while, I feel like I'm progressing with intention instead of just going through the motions. I've struggled with jiu-jitsu for majority of my time in the sport and Logos helped me reconnect with it in a way I didn't think I would again. Michael, Beth, Norm, Phil and Tri just to name a few have created something rare which is an environment that makes learning feel engaging, practical, and honestly fun again.

If you find yourself looking for a place to train I highly recommend. Only thing I would add is they have a color Gi dress code, I recommend reaching out in advance to clarify. Thank you for the hospitality Logos!

The request led me to recall jiujitsu classes I took in high school and the focus on self defense as opposed to hurting the other party. A friend mentioned that her son had been taking jiujitsu classes since he was 4 years old at a nearby studio that she highly recommended. I looked up WJJ was pleasantly surprised to learn of the affordable starter package for kids. Dr. Quynh made the enrollment process seamless and my son felt at home right away. He loved his first class and was very taken with how one of his classmates received a sticker in honor of how he respected his senseis and mentored his peers. For the second class, I brought my older son (8 years) with me for pick up and he immediately asked if he could also join (he did ). We love the principles of jiujitsu - respect, self control, hard work, and perhaps most importantly for children, delay of gratification - all foundational lessons that will shape my children's outlook and work ethic for years to come. We adore the instructors Dr. Quynh, Coaches Jalen and Charles, and Professor Nobou (5th in the world for his weight class!). They are knowledgable, skilled, patient, encouraging, and always make class fun for little ones. They do this while being firm, maintaining a safe environment, and employing consistent approaches for teaching children about self-discipline. Now we are 6 weeks and two kids in, and my husband is considering joining at the ripe young age of 41! If you are at all considering this for your children, try out the starter package. You wont regret it!

I can honestly say that Professor Nobuo and his team of instructors have successfully created a balanced culture for the seasoned hobbyists and fierce competitors of this gentle art. I've been coming for a year and the gym is always clean with positive energy from competitors, children and casual participants alike. I have trained at numerous academies in my life and I can say confidently that Kru Rad and the growing coaching staff are focused on skill development as well as that community vibe that keeps me coming back. For all of my advancement tests, I have fallen outside the scheduled testing period. There has never been an issue with scheduling a private test. It has allowed me to relax about preparation, going at my pace to ensure I am developing my skills. This community extends beyond the four walls of the gym. Frequent guest instructors from around the area and beyond come in to teach great seminars. If you're looking to start out, are returning from years away, or are looking for a competitive gym to get you ready for fights, you can't do better than RAD Muay Thai and BJJ.

Great gym for beginner to veteran boxers…read more I joined this gym in November after doing some online research and doing a drop in class. I highly recommend if you were on the fence on whether to join or not to use the drop in opportunity that this gym offers . I was looking for a great way to get a work out, meet people, and potentially train to spar and fight . What really blew me away is the attention that the coaches give you despite being in a group setting. Additionally, the culture in the gym is very supportive, everyone is looking to help each other to get better and gives you grace when just starting out to learn. Be aware that training sessions are only a few times a day, space is limited and you have to reserve your spot online. But this is not a huge burden and I always get the slot. I'm looking for.

I first called and left a voicemail, wanting to set up a meeting with a coach (no response returned). I arrived the following day, and walk in and see the front desk are already working with people, so I start to walk around and take look at the gym. Only one coach was personable, and redirected me to the front. I get back and it's two guys flirting with the pretty girl. Ok, I waited a bit while they finished. They saw me sit on the bench and wait. Once the young lady they turned and left, the "employees" turned their back and continued to have their own conversation. So moral of the story is not everyone will be greeted equally, approached equally or otherwise serviced equally at this establishment. Keep looking for other gyms who are actively searching for potential performing boxers.
