Place is awesome! Brought my two kids and we had a great time! It also didn't leave a hole in my wallet, very reasonable as far as cost.

My daughter did Hockey program for girls in April 2019. Coach Megan and other girls who teach there are very friendly and encouraging. At the first class my daughter thought she would not be able to do it (she is not very athletic), but the coaches were very patient and gave her extra attention,including teaching her basic skating techniques. By the 2nd class, she absolutely loved it and already was asking to join the team. The whole experience was amazing! read more

I used to like this place. My daughter took her first ice-skating lesson here and loved it. However, they are lack of communication with their customers. After the 2 weeks of winter break, my daughter was very excited to return to her normal Sat class. After I drove 30 mins to get there, I noticed there were a lot more cars parking outside this place and I was thinking there might be an event going on. When we got into the rink and started to get my daughter changed, one of the coaches approached and said, "I'm sorry but today's class is cancelled." Then I asked why we did not get any emails/phone calls in advanced? But he just kept saying sorry. I'm sure the event had been planned ahead and they should have had enough time to notify their skate students/parents. I saw other parents/students were being sent home too. Most of the coaches are nice and friendly but I've seen a few of them have no clues on what to teach the kids and how to keep them moving. This is the 2nd session my daughter taking, but I don't think we will be returning. read more

I just had my daughter's 7th birthday party here yesterday - and it was a blast! Emily was great and took care of every detail, there were plenty of buckets so all the kids could learn how to skate, fun music to listen to, and helpful staff! This is a great rink, especially if you like hockey. It is well run and the ice is good. They have "Pucks on a Pond" sessions on most days so you can come with full equipment and shoot a puck around. They have a website so you can check when they are having those sessions. Both of my sons love it. There are two smaller rinks, but the size of the rinks is really never a problem. Great rink. Ice is not well maintained, several HUGE holes on rink two that catches my blades and last time I twisted my ankle really hard, locker rooms are very out in the open and not private at all. Rinks should be doubled in size because it's incredibly difficult to play scrimmage on these small rinks. read more

Smaller rinks but one for hockey and one for free skate. Great idea and great layout. The guy at the snack bar who also took care of the skate rentals was great and very informative. Ice was in good shape. Great local Livermore asset. Friendly folks who skate there. I'll be back on a weekly basis from now on. Just bought my new skates at the Pro Shop. They helped me find the right skate and fit. They have an "easy bake oven" to help mold skates to your feet reducing break in time. They sharpened the blades while I was waiting. The Pro Shop is fully stocked with multiple brands of all that's necessary for all skating sports. Polite knowledgeable staff. read more

I went yesterday for the pucks on the pond and I had a lot of fun the staff was really friendly and the rinks were a little small but outside of that it was a blast. The ice was awesome i went to a open skate as well there was lot of people there but it was a lot of fun my daughter and my son had a great time plenty of buckets to help kids out with skating and the staff was constantly watching to make sure nothing was going on, great time great visit, I can't wait to go back read more

Tri-Valley Ice is a perfectly adequate place to skate. A little worn looking but not a problem, ice is well maintained and staff is helpful. Biggest negatives in my opinion are rental skates are often somewhat trashed out, and I have been there several times during open skating when hockey players were practicing, whizzing between the beginning skaters and totally freaking them out. There are two rinks there and why hockey practice is not separated from the other skaters is a mystery to me. read more

Its great to have a rink so close to home. When I moved here 2 years ago I kept wondering why there wasn't a rink here already and now that there is I couldn't be happier. Helpful staff and a good attitude go a long way these days and everyone that works at Tri Valley Ice has just that. The fact that they have beer on tap is a bonus too :). read more

More expensive than Dublin Iceland. Only good thing that they are not as crowded, but rink is smaller one for Hockey and one for Ice skating. Restrooms is gross looks like it is never cleaned. read more

My friends and I went last week, and we had so much fun, we're planning to go today too! The snack bar is also great, with good prices. And although I'd say I'm an intermediate skater, and not a beginner, the buckets do seem to come in handy for the younger kids. Place is pretty nice with two rinks. The two things that bugged us there were not enough buckets for the kids. They need at least 30 more buckets as a half dozen kids or more were struggling without them. Also they need to invest in new and more skates. They did not have any more 7 and a half for my wife. She ended up with 8's and made her skate a bit funny. The skates our son got were practically falling apart. They also need to resurface the ice more often as the ice is very rough and hard to skate on. read more

About a week ago I went in for public skate and i went to the cafe to buy food, and a girl named Ana was turned around watching TV instead of helping the long line of customers, it seemed as if she didn't know people were waiting. finally after she realized it, I ordered my food and it was over cooked, when I tried asking her more about the rinks schedule and she really seemed as if she was not interested in answering any of my questions. she was very rude to me and didn't offer much help. I've never been treated so poorly by any other worker. read more

TV Ice is a fantastic indoor ice facility! My son just celebrated his #13 birthday at TVI -- the staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant. Snack bar and pizza delivery means you have all you need for any party. What's Broom Ball? It's ice hockey wearing athletic shoes while pushing around a hard rubber ball with a modified broom stick! It was a blast from my '80's past -- and the fifteen 13-year old boys in our party had so much fun while getting great exercise, too! Public ice skating, private parties -- I strongly recommend any kids' (or adult) party at TVI. To the proprietors: Thank you for providing this facility to our community! read more

My daughter had a Frozen themed 5th bday party here last month, and I couldn't have been happier with the party decor, management (Emily went above and beyond my expectations,) food, quality of the ice, and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone in my party, which was about 20 kids plus their parents, had a memorable time. I'm adding TVI to our go to family spots in Livermore. read more

honestly, there's really only 3 reasons to come here. 1 if it's doing a longer public skate than the Iceland in Dublin on the particular day you're going. (the Iceland public skates shift a little on a weekly basis) 2 you live farther east/south-east that it's financially reasonable to just come here instead of the Iceland. (I live in Tracy, so the 2.50$ extra admittance for this place is cheaper than driving to western Dublin) 3 it's an ice rink and there should be more of them everywhere because ice skating is a magical thing, so we should all support as many of them as we can when we can. The problems I have with this place is, Their PS (public skate) is a little too short most of the time, I think there's only 2 times in the week where the PS is enough hours to be worth it. they have 3 different times on saturdays for PS, a 2-5pm, which is fine, a 630-730, who's is spending almost 10$ to skate for an hour?! and the "neon night skate" which is from 9-12. Now, this "neon night skate" is a fucking joke, they're supposed to have a live DJ and a bunch of disco lights in place of the overheads, when I went they didn't turn the lights off till about 11pm, there was no live dj and the disco lights where just 2 spinning color lights sitting on the top of 2 ladders at each end of the rink, so why the fuck am I paying 15$ for this?! Also during their public skates they don't clean the ice at all, going back to that neon night skating ordeal, by the time they turned the lights off the ice was so scarred up that it was more akin to skiing on snow than skating on ice, and I even experienced my first fall since I started skating, if the owners of this rink read these reviews and take anything from this particular review I hope it will be this: CLEAN YOUR ICE MORE OFTEN! I have my own skates, so I don't need to rent, but I often bring friends with me to skate with me who do not have their own. These rentals are ridiculous last time I went with my brother he had to go back up and ask for a different pair 4 (FOUR!) times because they kept giving him broken skates, I would really recommend they start getting in some better quality built skates in stock to rent out since most people in this region are gonna be renting, I know this place is still relatively new, but seriously guys..... seriously. I guess this all comes back to what one of the other reviewers said, something about poor management, this place just isn't being run very well. I hope they stick around though, because as I said, Ice skating is magical. Also, turn up the AC, the ice should not be melting while I skate on it. read more
