Chorizo Hash, Eggs, Home Fried Potatoes & Sour Cream

This is a small but mighty local diner. It's always busy, but definitely worth the wait. Their menu is updated daily with specials and it's hard to choose what to order, but you can't go wrong with any breakfast item. Their pancakes are huge. One is easily enough to share between two people, but has great fluff, crisp and flavor. Their corn beef hash is one of the top I've had and worth ordering if you haven't tried it. This diner has stood the test of time and will continue to be one of my favorite local places when I come back home to visit.

Cute little local diner. Service was great, our waitress was friendly and we didn't have to wait long to sit or get our food. We got the Irish Benedict, home fries with peppers and onions added. A breakfast sandwich deluxe, egg, Cheese, sausage and bacon. The picture shows a little bacon but there was a lot under the cheese. We also got Texas French toast. Everything was delicious.

Excellent breakfast. Best corned beef hash ever. Excellent smoked salmon plate. Very friendly people.

I was in town for a quick visit after almost 10 years, and I knew I had to go to triangle for their eggs Benedict. After all this time, I am SO happy to say that it is just as good as it was back then! Nothing has changed (other than some covid dividers), and the staff are still just as friendly as ever. The coffee is delicious and the bacon was crispy. I am so relieved that all is just as wonderful as it was back then! Thanks for the great time!

I already dug in but it was great 2 eggs plus sides

Great breakfast, great service. This is an old school diner. The food is simply great diner food and service. Loved our breakfast- good coffee, eggs the way you like them, i especially enjoyed the Canadian bacon here. Yummy. They have more than breakfast, in case you are in the mood for more lunch style items. If you are in Saratoga, be sure to grab breakfast at this iconic diner.

Great place! With my friend, Hopalong Casualty. 10/7/24

So, three days after I left the 5-star review below, I went back. First time, I had the Irish Benny at my server, "Star's" recommendation. This time, I had to try one of the daily omelet specials. I asked Star if it was available. Although no longer that day's special, she asked if they could make it. The kitchen did, and it was an amalgam of deliciousness! Plus, they substituted a warm chocolate chip muffin for the slice of apple pie (slight upcharge). Talking w Star (in between bites), I learned that the daily special omelet changes daily (duh, as I point to my forehead and say, "part's on order"). One of her faves is sausage, walnuts, goat cheese, and spinach. Star also mentioned they do amazing things w Brussels sprouts and beets in an omelet. No pics this time. See the ones below. 5 eclectic stars

Revisited this old favorite breakfast spot after moving out of NY over five years ago. Triangle Diner is just one of those small town staple community breakfast spots. The Southern Fried Chicken Benny has always been my favorite local breakfast. The chipotle hollandaise sauce is absolute fire!!! If you like Benedict breakfasts, this is a MUST HAVE. We ordered a single pancake for our daughter and they brought it out looking like Rudolph which she adored. The quality and service here are top notch. After five years this place is everything that I remember. Amazing staff, fast and attentive service, and delicious food. If you're in Saratoga or even in the surrounding area you have to have breakfast at Triangle Diner!

Everytime we want to try, it's always closed or we just get our craving at the wrong time of day. This time--we actually PLANNED properly :) Shirley's gives off that traditional small town diner vibes, you know, the one where the waitress knows ALL her regulars....that's Shirley's. We were greeted and sat immediately upon arrival. We ordered the Saratoga Omelet, pancakes, one of their breakfast plates and coffee. My omelet was DELICIOUS. I usually do NOT take breakfast leftovers home (just because I don't reheat eggs)...but this omelet was SO good that I actually did reheat it at 3:15 in the afternoon later that day to finish. No issues with service at all. Our coffee stayed hot, and food came out in ample time. I can't wait to bring our visiting family members when they're in town! Also--you MUST buy a souvenir cup!

My disinterest in international travel isn't their fault, in-house creations are good actually and how often do I rate diners by their degree of meat importation? In unscientific terms, my primary question for the smoked meat would be, is it different than pastrami? And this was a delightful creation, with a clove/nutmeg vibe. I also enjoyed the fries and cheese curds and especially the gravy.

I love when local eateries are well-loved because they deserve it. 9 Miles East Farm certainly does! A lot of the folks who came in for dinner wanted to sit on the terrace to bask in the last couple of hours of sun, but being from Florida I get overdosed with that and sat inside. I'm glad I did, the playlist reminded me of a Sunday picnic without being either. However, the atmosphere felt like that, even indoors. The owner was super personable, and the server was just the right amount of attentive. I ordered the chicken piri piri, and it presented beautifully. I felt comforted by the food. The tender grilled chicken parted from the bone with a twist of my fork and the mashed sweet potato was a great partner to the savory, citrusy, and slightly spicy piri piri. Im not even a chicken thigh person, but this dish changed me. I actually felt tended to and taken care of by the food! Does that even make sense??? It did when I was eating because that's how I felt. And the crazy thing is, I've been here once before. I loved what I ate, but it didn't feel like this. It's been a rough couple of months, but after this meal and listening to the carefree, but intentional music, it lit up my mood and my spirit. This will definitely be one of my go-to's when I visit Saratoga Springs, and I highly recommend 9 Miles East Farm to anyone. I think that a lot of people feel like they're visiting a friend's place when they come here. I definitely did.

Despite reviews warning about long waits, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. I walked in and was seated immediately. The menu had a huge selection, but once I saw grits listed, my decision was made. I ordered a simple breakfast: two eggs over medium (or close to it), toast, home fries with peppers and onions, and of course, the grits. Everything was good--the eggs leaned more toward over easy--but the real standout was the grits. They were done exactly right: not runny, not stiff, just perfectly creamy. This is the first place north of Virginia I've found that actually gets grits right. The staff was friendly, and the coffee was solid. I didn't notice a restroom, which was a little odd, but the place is small, so it might just be tucked in the back. Overall, definitely worth a visit.
