She doesn't force me to socialize with her like a dentist with their hands in your mouth-she makes me comfortable with the process and I trust her process. I'd get my hair cut more often-however the look requires growth. I did recently ask Bucci to bleach some parts of it and I am THRILLED with how it looks as it grows out. I was excited to try this salon. I made an appointment last week. Earliest was today at 1. I live in South Tampa but the hairdresser I wanted was in Seminole Heights. They told me if I did not cancel the day before I would be charged so I needed to hold appointment with my credit card. I got there 15 minutes early and the sign on the door said they were closed. There was a number to call. . When I called that number I was told all the appointments were moved to South Tampa location. Would not have been a problem if they had texted but they did not! I've been going to TriBeCa for a few years now and I don't plan to change that anytime soon. They use a tier system from newer staff to most experienced and that will decide on the price you end up paying for your cut or colour. I just get a typical men's haircut but I am always very satisfied with the end result. They offer a variety of beverages while you wait as well! Including alcohol :) They are very proactive with their Covid protocols so it always feels safe and clean. Make sure if you book an appointment and need to cancel it, to do so with more than 24hours ahead of time so you do not get charged their $20 fee! I slipped up once haha. I am very disappointed in the salon team. My son made an appointment for me on the day of his wedding. I confirmed the day before and was ready to get my hair blown out. I went to the wrong salon because the website doesn't say Kennedy and it says ybor or Tampa south so I got confused and I own it. BUT I was not late and could make it to the right salon in 10 min leaving 35 min for the blow out. My hair is short and fine. It would take all of 10 min. But I was told not to bother and that I there was no time. I found the customer service very poor: curt, un bending, not helpful in any way. When I called this week to review I was told of my agreement and that everyone knew of the situation so why was I calling? I called to discuss how I was treated so poorly. I am 65 and from out of town. You did nothing to help me even though I was with in my 45 min window. You are a snooty salon with a lack of caring for your clients. I was $$$. If you were caring you would have reached out or listened to my concern. You could not give me the courtesy of a 5 min discussion. Although I should have gotten that at least for the amount you billed my sons credit card. Do not recommend. read more

Firstly, I'd like to thank the Tribeca team for their amazing customer service! Thank you to the front desk staff for being understanding and working with my schedule. They connected me with a wonderful and talented stylist, Jen, to do my color correction and cut adjustment. Jen (Kennedy location) exceeded my expectations; she graciously accepted my appointment. Jen validated my concerns and maintained the length and integrity of my hair. Jen guided me through the process and provided realistic goals with the adjustment. I highly recommend booking with Jen for color and cut! Two star review: I booked a cut & color with Xander, at the Kennedy location. I came in with a bob (blunt, one length). I requested to maintain length, remove the weight at the bottom, add more movement, no layers, and highlights. I provided a photo of the cut for reference. As for the highlights, I requested to go lighter, but not blonde. I didn't have a photo to reference for color. However, I would have appreciated if the stylist had brought out a swatch book to confirm the color and tone. The stylist suggested to do balayage instead of highlights. I was hesitant bc I had short hair, but the stylist said that it's possible w/ short hair. I agreed. The stylist then suggested not to balayage the inside of my hair & mentioned that the color wouldn't be seen anyways. With their advice, I agreed to not color the inside of my hair. I understand and take responsibility of saying yes, but with the confidence that the stylists suggestions would provide better results. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Photos before adjustment: Balayage: It's impossible to identify that I paid for balayage. The balayage: lacks gradient from dark to light. My roots appear to look untouched/colored, no gradient. The tone is not harmonious with my skin color. There appears to be spots and sharp streaks, similar to a leopards skin. The tones are very strident and a lot of contrast. The ends of my hair felt brittle. Cut: *did not ask for layers* here I am addressing the layers. Back of hair: uneven lengths, right and left side. Short layers in the middle. Left side layers are longer than the right side. The layers on bottom of the hair appears very sparse and thin. The layers are very far apart. I moved to Tampa in July, and it took me awhile to work up the courage to visit a new hair salon after going to the same salon in New York for years. I found Tribeca Salon by recommendation and saw Marissa. Marissa did a color correction of my grown out hair which is naturally black and previously colored, and transformed it to a beautiful icy blonde. She made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process by explaining step by step what she was doing, which I super appreciated, because it's something that wasn't explained to me before. I wanted my hair to be fresh for my upcoming wedding which was in 2 weeks, and an extra special thing she did was a follow up to wash and tone my hair right before my wedding, so that it wouldn't be bronzey. If I could give a 6th star I would. I am new to Tampa and was looking to find a new stylist to take care of my hair. I did not think that I would hit the jackpot on my first visit. I went in a dark brunette and was able to walk out a blonde in one day (I never thought this would happen as I have done this before an dit took a few appointments to do). It took several hours, but the entire team there worked together to help me make the best decisions to safely lighten my hair with the least amount of damage. Went in for cut and color from a stylist who had previously done my hair numerous times before. The wasn't anything like what I showed her, the color nothing like I liked. First off, this is the best haircut and color I have ever had in my life. Unfortunately, I'm on the fence if I'll go back. First off they do harass you with many texts stating that if you do a no call no show you wouldn't be aloud to ever book again. They also ask for you to show up 15 minutes prior for any paperwork to fill out. Also, parking is horrendous! Street parking is primarily the only option. Now to get to the experience. After showing up 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. I was greeted by the ladies in the front and offered refreshments while waiting. After waiting about 15 minutes, my stylist greeted me to tell that she was running behind and wouldn't be too much longer. After another 30 minutes of waiting I was finally brought back. The cut, color and style was amazing and so was my stylist. Then came the bill. 265.00 for all that, not including tip of course. After the tip, it was over 300.00. I was so shocked that I even mentioned that I had never paid that much for all the services rendered. Overall the experience was amazing, but just wished that I was forewarned on the prices. I will have to say that after expressing my shock over the amount, the stylist did explain that they all work at different levels equaling higher prices per level and if I did want to come back but, didn't want to spend as much I could ask for a lower level stylist. As to if I'll go back, like I said before, not sure still as I just got home from the salon. If I do it'll probably be with a different stylist, just due to price and if I want to keep up with the color job I got tonight. If, I just want to touch up on my roots, I'll use the stylist I had today, as I really did like her. For the 3 out of 5 stars, I think I explained well enough up above. Every time the staff is super professional, nice, and ready to offer advice and do a wonderful job with our hair. Tribeca has a parking lot in the back to park your cars. When you enter you are greeted by the person at the front desk who will sign you in and let the stylist know you are here. They will also offer you a drink. They have lots to drink like white wine, red wine, PBR, teas both hot and cold, and fresh fruit juices. Once you go back to the stylist they will ask you what you want to do with your hair. You can get it colored or cut or even both. They will do pretty much any color you would like and you can get it cut anyway you would like it! This place does a great job! The stylists are nice and offer lots of suggestions! They will take really good care of you and your hair! I highly recommend this place! read more

Front desk staff are incompetent and assumed my mother was paying for bridal hair (we never indicated this), and then turned around and said they are cancelling all wedding services? Manager I spoke to admitted that staff are incompetent, so not sure why they hired them. Salon waited until after I paid exponentially higher than expected for highlights, an appointment I only made to see if I liked the vibe of the place. Today was my first visit to Tribeca and I left very happy with the experience. First I was told it would be a 30 minute wait. No problem since I had just dropped in. I was greeted by Ryan within 5 minutes. In those initial "so what are we doing with your hair today" moments, i always ask for the same thing. But I always preface...if you see something you think would look good, please go for it. Ryan is the first stylist to take me up on it. It's refreshing to deal with someone with confidence.& credit the management, giving the stylist some freedom. Ryan was a delight and nailed what I was looking for. The pricing is practical (my husband got his haircut for $16 using my discount code, and my haircuts normally run at about $32 [short hair]), the personnel is kind and welcoming (also very LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive), and the customer service is immaculate (ask if you'd like something to drink upon arrival and seat you in timely manner as well as offer a 2 week touch up policy where if something isn't sitting right or you don't like the style, you can come back in and they'll fix it for free). I personally go to the lovely Skye to cut and color my 3b curls and she is an absolute gem who has given me a rockin' cut every time. Went through every step with me, showed me all the products she was using (also gave the most amazing head massage), and took her time framing my face and giving me the look I wanted. I went back for a second time and Marissa wasn't available so I had Ashley.... Not happy. The haircut was super rushed and she didn't frame my face right!! Literally just chopped it straight, no editing or framing based on my face shape. It looked okay when I was done at the salon but when I got home I realized it was NOT good.
