The atmosphere is fun and busy and the decoration is eclectic. Our server was very welcoming and taught us how to pronounce the Spanish dish names. Our food came out relatively quickly but water refills were slow. Overall I had a great time and would come back again for special occasions El Passion - fruity with a sour punch Arroz Negro con Calamares - the black rice slightly tomato's and very tasty. The calamari on top was crispy. Your lips will turn black Mejillones en Crema de Camarones - the mussels were skinny and the shrimp sauce was the star of the show. It came with garlic bread for dipping but the sauce was also great on rice. Pato Braseado - The duck cooked perfectly and the acid from the berry sauce cuts the richness of the meat Conejo Estofado - sauce was sweet with a slight kick. Paired well with the tender rabbit Valenciana Paella - very lightly flavored rice. I enjoyed the variety of seafood and meat in the paella. Clementine flan - flan is silky smooth and not overly sweet, the candied fruit was a slightly bitter accent. Churros - came out piping hot with dulce de leche and chocolate syrup.

Another great meal at Dali. Tried the mussels in creamy sauce for the first time here- it's delicious. Creamy artichoke and mushrooms were quite rich. Gambas in garlic sauce, beef short ribs, calamari and squid ink rice, and seafood paella are all favorites here. The tenderloin empanadas were amazing, and I liked the accompanying dipping sauce. We asked for extra toast because it's the perfect complement to all the flavorful sauces - crispy outer layer, soft interior, warm. Great cappuccino to end the meal.

What a lovely Spanish tapas restaurant with an unassuming exterior. I've walked by a few times before, but being inside really transports you into its own world with dimly lit ambiance and thoughtfully themed decor. The portion sizes were expected for tapas (small plates) and every dish we got was unique in flavors and delicious. For us, the standout was the braised duck leg. What an incredible mix of sweet and sour flavors of the sauce combined with the savory flavors and crispy yet juicy textures of the duck. Our server was attentive in filling up our waters and recommended the right number of dishes for us to have a filling but not overstuffed dinner. I would definitely come back for another delicious meal with friends, family, or for a date night.

Amazing food! My first time trying the concept of tapas (well not really but more like my first time trying many plates of tapas at once) My review of some of the things I had from here: 1) Ceviche was amazing and the presentation of it was beautiful. The juice to seafood ratio was adequate so that's always good (usually I don't see a lot of seafood in ceviche at other places. 2) Scallops were good but I think the sauce that it was served in helped. 3) I can't recall the name, but it was a sizzling shrimp dish served in a cast iron type skillet. Honestly, I wasn't a super fan. It has a very smoky flavor and it's just basic salad shrimp, not even prawns. 4) calamari with squid ink rice- I was very impressed with the squid ink rice. I don't have much to say about the calamari itself since it tastes comparable to other places. I definitely like the ambience here and would come back if there is a birthday party (oh yeah, and speaking of , you'll be hearing the waiters sing happy birthday every five minutes for someone. So just a fair warning if that annoys you (it kinda did for me lol)

I really enjoyed looking at the various decorations in the restaurant! The decor, combined with the ambient lighting, and occasional loud birthday celebrations, made for a fun dinner experience. Two of us decided to order a variety of tapas (mostly hot) from the menu. I was not expecting a lot of the dishes to have a sweet undertone to them. We started with the jamón ibérico ($24) which came with a few pieces of crusty focaccia soaked in oil. The fat from both the ham and the oil was very rich. We got the alcachofas rellenas ($15), bolitas de queso ($12), pulpo a'feira ($19), gorditas ($10), and chuletillas de cordero ($15). All of the dishes were decent, but I wouldn't say any of them particularly stood out to me. The alcachofas rellenas tasted just like a baked artichoke dip (delicious, but nothing special). I liked the bolitas de queso but the caramelized onion and honey ended up making the dish too sweet for my liking. The chuletillas de cordero had a similar vibe for me-- the lamb chops had a nice char, but the peach sauce was unexpectedly sweet. If you prefer your dishes to be more savory than sweet, I would not recommend the bolitas de queso, gorditas, or chuletillas de cordero. After we received all of our dishes, we realized that we could still eat so we tried the plato mixto ($25). It came with a huge variety of cheeses and meats which were fun to pair together. Overall the food was good and I enjoyed the vibes as well.

An incredible 5 stars all around! What a delightful discovery during our time in Boston. The from tasty food to epic cocktails to enthusiastic service to ridiculously awesome atmosphere... the was hands down an excellent choice for us tonight, and we'll definitely return when in town again

Loved our time at Dali!! We had a reservation for a friends birthday (were only able to snag one because of a cancellation). Thank you to our server for the best experience (it's been a while and I forgot his name I'm so sorry )! He was so kind and fun and made our experience 10x better. I loved all the tapas but if I were to recommend a must try it would be the shrimp and beef toast!! Also of course the sangria! Great spot for a date night to drink at the bar or for a girls night to yap. Definitely would love to come back again!

Favorite restaurant in Cambridge / Boston so far! The food was all amazing. The beef with chimichurri and the vegetable paella were my personal favorites. The beef was super tender and flavorful and the paella had an incredible mix of veggies. As a seafood lover, I was surprised I enjoyed the vegetable paella even more than the seafood one! Service was fantastic and the decor is fun and cozy.

This place has amazing vibe on weekend dinner time with many laughter, happy crowds that celebrate, birthdays and special occasions, a variety of cocktails, and wine. Here are several dishes that I recommend : - croqueta - steak with chimichurri - Batatas bravas Here are several dishes that I do NOT recommend : - Cheese and charcuterie board: really disappointed by such a small portion for a high price. Personally, don't think it's worth it. - braised duck leg: meat was dry (moisture was significantly lost during the cooking) and the dressing was too sweet This place is not cheap. Again, vibe and service were amazing and I will recommend you come here for occasion if you are in the mood (I don't think it's easy to find a similar vibe like Dali in Cambridge). But some dishes might not be worthy of its price

The ambiance was too loud. I could barely hear my wife speak across from me. The restaurant was beautiful and unique with its Latin inspired decor/paintings. The food was actually really good. My only complaint is towards the older male barista that was imposing/rude to me upon my arrival.

Food: In general, good for the most part. There were some tapas dishes I liked more than others. The drinks were good though, my espresso martini was 11/10. It's tapas style, so you can order a lot of small dishes to try. The paella was ok. Service: Our server, Moi, was fabulous. Super attentive and personal. Our food was also pretty fast. Ambiance: It's dark inside, and gets very busy (they tell you to leave as soon as your reservation time is over). The main drawback for me was that there were only 2 bathrooms. The door from front was also confusing. But it was fun going to my friend's birthday here!

Yes, this place is as great as everyone says. My second time here last night and had an amazing time. Dined for two whole hours with my party of 4, and our server was lovely. Tapas are my favorite way to dine and I am an olive snob above all. These olives are impeccable. Perfect amount of citrus, herb, and chile. 10/10 The only cons here were our ~15min experience in a very busy line at 5:30 opening, and being charged for a tapas brought to our table by mistake. The food was outstanding and came out quickly considering how busy the place was. It's quite noisy and the decor is eclectic which I love, very on brand. It's quite low light so tell your parents to bring their reading glasses for the menu, and I found that 3 tapas each (as recommended by our server both times I've come here) is more than enough. If you plan on getting a large plate or paella, prepare to bring some home. I think it tastes even better the second day. They were accommodating to my gluten free friend and very attentive to our table when needed. There were five (5!) birthdays during our dinner where they brought out the tambourines, a disco light, and a frog candlestick. Seems to be a great place to celebrate your birthday! The best part was dessert. The chocolate mousse is rich and light, but my lemon catalana was just to die for. The silkiest custard under torched sugar "crackle glaze." Our server's favorite dessert and a must have in my opinion.

this is my favorite restaurant in the boston area. if you are on the fence of where to dine, this is your sign to come to dali. dali is an experience: from the second you walk into the wooden door and get greeted with the hanging vines, festive decor, warm lighting, and friendly smiles from staff, you know that you have stepped into a true gem. dali transports you across the atlantic to spain, or even elicits warm memories (for me, it is reminiscent of my italian family's eccentric decorating skills with plates on walls, marble replicas, and hanging meat). this is not my first rodeo with dali. i know that the drinks are fantastic and that the bartender is fun and kind - one of my early dates with my boyfriend was us at the bar. i know that i love the squid ink rice and the lamb meatballs and get excited when i see others enjoying the food i love. i know that i will always hear another party explode with laughter a few tables over. dali is a place for gathering, to make merry, and to enjoy good food and drink. this is one of my favorite places in the city and i am happy to be a patron of this wonderful restaurant.

The waitress/waiters were very nice. They quickly got waters for us a couple of glasses of wine. We really like Spanish wines and they had a few Tempranillo wines to choose from so that was nice. We finally decided on the sautéed mushrooms, grilled shrimp (gambas), honey eggplant which was a nice sweet surprise and roasted potatoes with a yummy sauce. Everything tasted fresh and had great flavors. The service was great and the staff was very attentive and polite. I am curious now to try their Pallela but that's for next time!

The challenge we had was that we had a group of 9. It was going to be hard to get a reservation. I was not familiar with the restaurant scene in Brookline so I spun the wheel and called 6 places and only on was happy to accommodate us -Tasca. When we got there the place was very busy - I was surprised they could take us. I love a restaurant with energy and this one had it going on! We were seated immediately upon arrival. The table we had was a little cramped, but it didn't matter/ I was loving the buzz of the place! We waited a tiny bit and were greeted by the server - she definitely mirrored the pace of the restaurant- she was a beautiful, bubbly young woman with a wonderful personally! We dug right into the menu. For drinks we all started with margaritas- they were a little strong but that's what made them great - it was made with fresh lime and was very refreshing - a great was to begin. Right behind it we ordered the garnacha sangria - I worry about low quality wine in sangrias, but it was super flavorful- if you get red sangria I recommend it over the house one. With a panty of nine it's easy to order too much food because everything is shareable- sooooooo we ordered just about every small plate on the menu and it was totally ok because the portion size was perfect! I couldn't find a dish that was not short of excellent, so this is a hard review to write. Some stand-out items for me was the spinach- it was sautéd perfectly and had just the right amount of garlic - I could have eaten that for my dinner! I also loved the octopus- a beautiful preparation- the tentacles were very meaty and the sauce was really flavorful! We also ordered both types of calamari- sautéed and fried. I'm a big fan and both were very good. Another was the empanadas - the shell was cooked perfectly so it was not dried out. I had 2 teens with me and was worried the food may be too sophisticated for them, but they found their way to the grilled steak- a perfect dish for them - both got the sauce on the side in case they didn't like it - but ended up pouring it right back on. Definitely a great choice for teens. The dessert list has something for everyone- we got the bread pudding- Spanish crème brûlée and the churros. These are all "must tries". I fell in love with the churros- perfectly crisped and plenty of sugar and super yummy chocolate - uhhhhhh... so good! I wanted to take more pictures of the plates but they were consumed so quickly that I didn't have a chance. It's definitely a loud place but that's part of the energy of the establishment. If you like tapas- this is for you - truly something for all on the menu. I'll be back as it was a great experience- I would highly recommend this restaurant!! Cheers to a great first experience!!!

Not sure if the lack of other customers contributed to the depressing atmosphere but we were seated in the larger dining section and it felt a little haunted. The food was just not very good, it pains me to say. Another review mentioned how the dishes did not seem to be prepared with any love or effort, which I agree with. The patatas bravas, a mainstay of any tapas menu, was perhaps the worst offender: undercooked, roughly cut chunks of potato with a messy drizzle of tomato sauce on top. Not sure how you mess that up. The bread used on the side of our spicy garlic shrimp was stale and cold. The toasted crostini with Iberian ham was an utter mess for a $19 dish - crudely sliced ham layered on top, making it impossible to take a bite without the ham sliding off; very tough, chewy bread. And the portion sizes were miniscule for the regular price (they do a HH special with $5 tapas which is a way better deal). The creme brulee was way too heavy on the cinnamon and amaretto. Our waitress was sweet and the food came out quickly, so giving some points for that. Parking: They offer a parking voucher for the Whole Foods around the corner; it's a minor pain to have to traverse that particular intersection to put the voucher in your car and then back to the restaurant but free parking is such a rarity in Boston so I'll take it.
