The beach trail was fantastic. The lady there was really thorough and good about explaining how to use the bike, points of interests and events going on by the beach, and answering our questions. She spoke clearly and at a slower pace so we really understood everything well. The bikes were cruiser-style bikes. They sell e-bikes as well and had many on sale. The bad: They don't have options for kids' seats or trailers. The interesting: There's no age requirement but you have to be at least 4'10" (?) ish or taller to ride their bikes. They'll give you a bike based on your height. You're given a bike lock as well. The basket in the front is stuck to the frame so it doesn't move with the direction of the front wheel. You only need a pedal assist of 1 for the beach because it's flat but it can go all the way up to 9. Helmets are optional.

Last week we dropped off my e-bike for a tune up service. I received my bike 3 days later as promised (2-3 days). The cost was a good value. After my e-bike was serviced it rode better than when it was brand new. The one thing I really don't like is having to leave my bike on the sidewalk. No one is officially tending to the bikes. They're just sitting there. They are a small operation and don't have the proper amount of space. My husband they did secure his e-bike to a parking meter when he dropped his off but he still felt uncomfortable about his bike on the sidewalk. What if someone crashes into it. We sign waivers that release them of responsibility blah blah blah. So we'd be happier if we had our bikes within the safe confines of their bike shop.

I go straight to the The Bike shop in Hermosa Beach and Mohammed is on top of it. He's always super friendly and patient with me and has the job done quickly and typically before the promised time. He's very honest with the repairs and I feel very comfortable taking his advice on what is truly needed and what can be delayed to save some money. He's fixed brakes, replaced brakes, changed out Tires, changed out the suspension fork, changed out pedals just to name a few of the services. We've had done. Came here to rent a bike with zero advanced notice, and it was such an easy experience…read more We came in at about 6 PM on a Sunday evening and we're lucky enough to have caught them before they closed at 6:30. Luckily they have a policy that allows you to bring back the bike as late as 9 PM and chain it to the gate outside even when the business has closed for a small fee ($15) The bikes were $20 each, we chose the upgraded model with gearshifting, there was also an option for $15 that had only one speed. Everything was great. The bike was perfect and did exactly what we wanted, we rode around until about 8:30 and had no issues bringing it back. The next morning we received an email confirming everything was received and closing out our transaction. Definitely would use this place again
