I recently had a big move out of my mom's house and she moved into a new place too. We initially wanted to move everything ourselves, but it was just too much stuff + all the driving back and forth was exhausting with work. Two Brothers definitely helped in a time crunch. I was stressed about us not being able to get everything out in time but once I talked with Danny and scheduled that was one less thing to worry about. Since I'd never used a moving company either (and frankly kind of felt like it was something I could do myself with more time), I was glad it was affordable too. They were very careful with my stuff as well, which I really appreciated because I packed some of my boxes a little carelessly. OH! And my new place has no elevator, but luckily I only live on the second floor. Still, shout out to these guys for moving my huge bookshelf, elliptical, and bed up the stairs. "Two Brothers Moving" was a total lifesaver! Austen and Patrick came over and moved our mountain of stuff and I ended up really enjoying their company! They were attentive and patient with our instructions and had great senses of humor. I was often very nervous when they were taking things down the stairs but they were good at explaining how certain pieces would have to be maneuvered in order to ensure a safe removal and they were not annoyed by my many questions. Be sure to call the company and arrange for the appointment in advance. They are very nice over the phone and will answer any questions you may have. They are also good at letting you know what kind of things are appropriate to move out from the front entrance of your house or the back entrance, this was helpful to me as I was able to organize pieces closer to each of these entrances for easy moving. These guys are the real deal. First time using a moving company and have to admit I chose the right one. These guys where prompt, careful and very polite. Helped me move my antique vanity with care something very important to me. I also own a lot of glassware and crystals which I was very afraid of anyone touching. I have to say these guys did a great job. I am very picky so believe me when I say they did a marvelous job. Took care of my stuff like it was theirs. Making sure nothing would get damage. Something that is very important to me. Tyler was great help as well moved my heavy treadmill including my small weights from the basement and cleared everything out. These guys are great! Moving is always stressful but these guys (Danny, Tyler, etc.) really took the pressure off. The process of scheduling my move and getting a quote was simple - everyone I dealt with had a very professional attitude. I had a lot of questions and they were able to answer every single one to my satisfaction. As far as the move itself, it couldn't have gone smoother. These guys really went above and beyond. Moving in Chicago can be a pain because so many buildings are walk-ups (no elevator). It's just too much work to do on your own! Even when your move is relatively simple, as mine was, there are always surprises when moving day comes around. We all have more stuff than we initially think we do! I was in need of movers two weeks ago and was referred to this company. When I called I spoke with a guy named Austin who was very helpful with getting me information for my process. He was so delightful over the phone I decided to stop in and give them a visit. When I got to the location I encountered another person "Danny"who was also very polite and was able to assist me with my plans with my big move. I had never really used a moving company before, but have recently moved back to Chicago and had limited time to empty out my storage unit into my new place. I've always been the type of person to just borrow/rent a truck and move myself, but after using Two Brothers I may never go back! All of my things arrived safely and securely, and I was SHOCKED by how quickly everything went; what may have taken me a couple of days was managed by Travis and Tyler in a few hours! I didn't even pay that much more than renting a truck--after mileage, gas, the pizza and beer you have to inevitably buy your friends to help (haha), it was only a little bit more, and the peace of mind was PRICELESS. The team was considerate, knowledged, and effective in moving my family from a third floor apartment to a small house. Mike was extremely knowledgeable. I believe Tyler was one of my movers and I can't recollect the other individual's name. Be that as it may, they were actually earlier than the time frame given, but called several times to make sure I was alright with the time (and I simply needed to complete the move so I was.) They moved all the furniture, boxes, dismantled/reassembled things and gave appropriate situation. They were friendly, professional and explained things in detail if I had questions. These guys really made the nightmare that is moving a dream! I had a short window and a small budget to move all of my things out old apartment and into my new one. I was subletting my place so I needed to be out in time for the new tenant. Two Brothers understood the need for promtness and were both efficient and accommodating. I used Two Brothers Moving when I moved from Lincoln Park to Old Town. Tyler and Mike were our movers and they were professional, helpful and courteous. They moved all of my large and heavy furniture with ease and there was absolutely no damage. They even disassembled my bedframe in order to get it in and out of my door, and reassembled it in my new Apartment. Moving in the city can be such a hassle, I've had horrible experiences in the past with unknown surcharges and have ended up with damaged furniture. They were really great with helping me move! I didn't realize that I had so much stuff to take with me to my new apartment! They made sure that my fragile things were tucked away safely in the truck so that I wouldn't worry about anything breaking. They must have played some serious rounds of Tetris back in the day because the way my stuff was stacked and packed was unreal! They really know how to please their customers.
