We needed to move on extremly short notice due to uncertainty with our house closing. I spoke to Ben the owner and he assured me he could move me to my next home within days of me requesting at a price that's more than fair, seemed all to good to be true until the move happened. Two young guys named James and Will showed up on time with a 26' moving truck and great attitudes. I had huge pieces of solid wood furniture, couple bedroom sets, odds and ends and the entire move took less than 5 hours!! Didn't mark up any walls, furniture and it was tough in the second home the flight of stairs had tight turns. I'll definitely use them again and you won't be disappointed if you use them that's for sure. Great owner and employees. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! What a fiasco and nightmare dealing with this company! I initially had high hopes, as the owner was chatty and provided me with some advice for our long distance move from Chicago to Georgia. That all ended when the day of the move came. First, the "loaders" were complete jokers. One continually bragged about being a hero, and the other was high. They started out efficiently, however then began to fall apart. I was wrapping fabric chairs and one of them stopped me and said: don't sorry, we'll do that. I trusted them. Suddenly, one of the guys claimed he needed more blankets to wrap items. So, in the midst of moving madness, my husband left to pick more up from the Penske location we rented out truck from. He returned with tons of extra blankets and we carried on. The day eventually ended and we realized there were piles and piles of blankets left. Fast forward a few days and we are unloading truck with help of moving unloaders at our new home. As they removed items, they began commenting that things weren't wrapped. None of our couch cushions (which all got dirty), none of our fabric dining chairs (all stained and dirty), our velvet West elm headboard was shoved between things and NOT WRAPPED! Ended up with a giant scrape. My son and daughter's bed frames/headboards unwrapped and gouged. A bench with fabric cushion, unwrapped and filthy as things were stacked on it, and the list goes on. We have pictures of all things. We contacted BENJAMIN WISDOM and tried to make it right. He involved a claims company and they eventually offered us $100 for their incompetency. The unloaders we used in Georgia REPEATEDLY said the same thing: this stuff should ALL have been wrapped. They had the blankets and even REQUESTED MORE, which is why we are so furious that they weren't used. He argued with my husband and tried defending the incompetent morons he sent to load for us, but inevitably disappeared and now we are left with thosands in damage. We plan to pursue further measures to get refunded for the move... But in the meantime I wanted to spread the word that hiring this company is NOT A WISE CHOICE! My wife and I have moved around a lot. We've worked with a lot of different moving companies. I can definitely say that Wisdom Moving is one of the best services we've had. These guys showed up 20 minutes early, ready to work. Zane and the guys are incredibly easy to work with, and they did a great job packing the truck. We used these guys about 1.5 years ago, booked using u haul website when we got the truck and we were very happy with them. Now we have to move again and I emailed BJ but he responded few times but after 2-3 days. I called last night left voicemail I got no call back and it is noon next day, my wife also called about 2 hours ago also he didn't call back. Very disappointing. read more

Worst decision I ever made was using these guys for a long distance move. Things were lost, things were broken, and BJ had "no idea where they went". They use a trailer instead of a real box truck, so its generally just haphazard and ghetto, and they were just completely unprepared for the job. I have used Wisdom once, and am moving next month and plan on calling them again. The guys were great! Very friendly, efficient, and effective. Hiring them made my move easy. I would never recommend this company to anyone looking for moving services!!! - My move was pushed back from 9 am to 12 then they show up at 1:30 exhausted and drenched. - The move should not have taken more than 4 hour. I had limited furniture, I pre moved the boxes into the garage. The only bedroom furniture was my daughters and I had no television to move. The entire move took 10 hours. - One mover dismantled my daughters twin bunk bed completley which took over an hour. Every plank, nut, bolt was removed. The employee re-assembled the bunk bed once moved and left three solid wood pieces and a bag of screws, nuts, bolts under the bed which my 6 year old daughter found! I was not informed they could not re-assemble what they took apart. - A bad storm came and my options were to unload the next day for an additional $190 for the truck or pay to have 3rd mover come in the rain. I was bumped back and they were late so I was expected to eat the cost of the late night storm. - The second piece of my sectional could not fit up the stairs. They removed the back door of a victorian home without notifying anyone. There was no way the couch was going to fit up the back stairwell and now the door does not lock properly. - I have left three messages for the owner to discuss what happened and try to "make this right." They are not returning my phone calls. - My final bill was 42% higher than the quote and the move was complete chaos. My move was poorly managed and I paid the price with excessive charges and damaged property that I now have to repair. Huge liability and property risk working with this company and they will take advantage of the customer to meet their business needs. read more

I hired this company this month September'2014 for my household move from CA to MN. I would recommend this company for anyone looking for moving needs and seeking reliable, honest and helpful sources for moving. I contacted the Guy Benjamin, Owner of this company and he sounded really honest from the time of first time I contacted him over the phone which I found later after getting the full moving service that my understanding was right . I have been moved couple times for job across the country so was little scared to hire a moving company based on my experience. However this guy (BJ) was nice enough to provide me best service and communication on time, He took away all my questions & concerns about moving, Insurance and Time, even loaded my stuff from my storage place when I was not there and deliver it on Time with loading and Unloading without asking my help. Moved from Denver to Oak Park and was dreading unloading our moving pod and taking all of our furniture up 4 flights of stairs. So instead me and my wife hired Wisdom Moving. Leading up to the move I had good communication with P.J., who called mulitple times to confirm our time. The guys showed up early and unloaded the entire pod without taking a break. Overall they did an excellent and efficient job. I would highly recommend Wisdom for your next move, well worth the money. read more

LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM!!!!!! If i could give this company zero stars, I would. Over the course of trying to hire this company - I left 7 voicemails. One was returned to give the quote (the third voicemail I left) and then never heard from them again. I left 4 voicemails over the course of 6 days in attempts to hire them for my move. Not one was returned. I don't care if you can't do the move the day I need it (if this was the case - I don't know that it is, on the quote he said he was available), but it is unacceptable not to return a call to a customer and advise one way or another. read more

Liars, thief's, and no accountability or customer service. I used Wisdom Movers to unload my u-boxes. One of the movers showed up on time. The second was at least an hour late. I was hold he was trying to pick up the other u-box. When he arrived he didn't have the u-box and I was told he was denied because his hitch wasn't rated. The unloading seemed to go ok. Although I had color coded and labeled a large majority of the boxes, the guys still asked where each box went. Kind of annoying but I could deal with that. Shortly after Wisdom Moving unloaded my items I discovered I had tools that were missing. An air compressor with 3 pneumatic tools, a grinder, and other miscellaneous hand tools that were in the same bag. I called Benjamin and got a lot of push back / denial from Wisdom Moving that there was any way his guys could have taken something. I was left to be a "liar" in his eyes even though the first thing he told me was that the 2nd mover didn't even have a car and was late because of public transportation. Funny he should start off with a different story than I got the day of the move...I thought he was at Uhaul picking up the 3rd box.... SO...Customer service starting with a lie. Good job buddy. I exchanged a couple of messages with Benjamin but at one point he just stopped responding. Now I'm out a few hundred dollars worth of tools. Don't make the same mistake by hiring Wisdom Moving. From the get-go, you guys have been awesome! The husband and I have moved several times on our own and with the help of friends, but this time we decided to hire movers because of our massive amount of accumulated "stuff". They said they'd be here between 11a-1130a. Truth be told, we made bets on how late they'd arrive. I said 2p and happily lost that bet. They arrived promptly on time and with such an awesome attitude. Cory (Corey??) and Allen introduced themselves and assessed the rooms and things that needed to get out on. They definitely knew what they were doing and had a game plan for every phase of the job. I was absolutely impressed and very happy. They were careful not to knick, knock off, break, crack, scratch, or drop anything which we're very grateful for. When we move again, we're going with these guys and we are certainly recommending them to others as well. Thanks, guys!! If a "suggestion" can be made, it's this: BJ may need an assistant or someone to help with correspondence/communications. Cory and another guy showed up on time, moved all my heavy stuff with no scratches/dents, only problem I had was when they moved my freezer across my basement carpet to the back door it leaked some leftover water from the defrosting, so I wish they had seen it was doing that and covered the base of the freezer with some plastic as they moved it, but overall great job guys, would use them again. read more

Cody and Josh were awesome. I had previously tried another moving company and was disappointed at how expensive it was. The days before my move I called and they fit me in. I was a little worried about no contract or email regarding move. I sent a text two days later to confirm and all was fine. Cody and Josh notified me of their ETA and showed up on time, were very professional, polite, and Cody was extremely knowledgeable about how to move certain pieces without any damage. They were willing to do extra if need be. There was no extra charge for moving my piano, since There were no stairs, and the only break They took was 15 minutes in 3.5 hours. They even put the couch cushions back on nice and neat. They are very honest and I will use them for my next move and any other move after that. So very pleased.
