Somehow 5 stars is not enough to capture the absolute magic that Trident Adventures created for my family. Imagine you're in Hawaii for the first time, you MUST dive while in this paradise AND, your 10 year old wants to go with you for the first time. Pressure and game on! Thanks to the Yelp family, I came across Trident Adventures and the rest will be part of our family narrative. Alejo, Dusty and Jaden are the absolute best. Captain Dusty had us on the boat and on site quickly, on a boat that was modern, clean and super equipped, snacks, drinks and all. It didn't hurt that we were the only ones on the boat either, thus making it seem like a private tour (got lucky there). Jaden made sure Mom was taken care of while snorkeling, as Dad and Baby went diving. Alejo was an absolute Godsend! He had my 10 year old down and comfortable in minutes. He swam with her like he was taking care of his own. In roughly 39 minutes we saw dozens of old turtles and innumerable fish. I swam along in awe as I watched my baby experience at 10 years old what I waited half my life to do. I was able to watch her experience her first ocean dive without worrying about her safety. If I could describe Trident Adventures in one word! It would be INCREDIBLE! I had such an amazing time! The water was so clear I saw 3 turtles together chilling on a shipwreck and a few more swimming around. So many beautiful fish and the world and environment was so incredible to explore. It's so beautiful and peaceful under the sea but while we're on route to the dive site, I felt like I was treated like royalty, an actual queen. Everyone is so nice, smiles and good vibes all around. They helped me in and out of my gear. I've have 2 back surgeries and was a lil worried but they made it safe, easy and fun. I did tell them bcz looking at me you'd never know. They give refresher courses for those tho need it and have some really cool toys to use! They literally think of everything. Bucket List: Snorkeling with Turtles!!! I've never experienced something so thrilling and majestic at the same time. We snorkeled with Trident Adventures who were absolutely amazing. I had never snorkeled before and was super anxious. They were very patient and helpful! We saw some plastic bags and pool floaties out in the ocean and they made the extra effort to help keep the ocean clean and the animals safe. It made me so happy to be part of their adventure! I learned so much about the island and preserving its beauty. Highly recommend snorkeling with Trident Adventures in Ko Olina! It made the trip easy, comfortable and safe. We got to see a HUGE pod dolphins and baby dolphins, tons of turtles and a lot of unique fish. All crew members were very knowledgeable about the waters and sea creatures we saw. I don't ever write reviews, but my experience with Trident Adventures was so great that I feel compelled to share it and to recommend that you book an experience with them. I did the beginners/discovery scuba diving. I had two previous introductory scuba diving experiences in other parts of the world, but nevertheless, I recognize that I am very, very much a novice. This was by far my most pleasant and rewarding experience scuba diving. For those looking for a short review, you can simply read the first sentence of the following points to get the main takeaways from mine. Here are my reasons to urge you to book with them: - They are friendly, professional and clearly enjoy what they do. You feel as though you've been invited by a group of courteous friends who cater to your needs. Their excitement and joy are contagious. - They pay close attention to all matters concerning safety. They make sure you know what you need to pay special attention to and they do a terrific job of helping everyone enjoy their experience in a safe manner. This said, they are not militant about safety, but rather, make it a group effort to ensure everyone stays safe and enjoys their experience. - They tailor your experience to your experience and comfort levels. Because I have done scuba diving before, my instructor guided me through more advanced techniques, which I was so grateful for because it really made my experience "next level." Some of the other beginners took it slower and that's what they needed. There was enough staff for everyone to enjoy their experience in their desired way. - I don't think you can find a more reasonably priced experience for the attention, level of instruction, gear and individualized attention you get. Period. Lastly, although not directly important to your experience, I want to note that one of the owners (Steve Kaplan) was a pleasure to interact with and get to know. Also every one of the staff members was approachable, friendly and a pleasure to interact with. These guys/gals are the most professional dive crew I have had. Granted I am a novice with only about 12 dives under my belt, but I have used shops in Austrailia, Tahiti, Maui, Minnesota and Triton is the best. You just can't remain complacent when you are surrounded by enthusiastic people. We're going to get Rescue Diver certification with these guys because they really know what they're doing. It's the best diving on Oahu. It's unfortunate that the Pandemic has impacted every small business on Oahu. The helicopter jump (!!!) and snorkeling adventure was THE HIGHLIGHT of our two weeks on Oahu. My kids have not stopped talking about it. Three amazing experiences wrapped into one - helicopter ride, jump and snorkeling. Who could ask for more??? Doug from Magnum Helicopters gave us a fun and smooth ride out to the dive spot. Steve took amazing care of everyone in our group. Both my 7 and 11 year-olds were excited and really nervous but Steve made sure they were prepared and ready for the jump. Needless to say, both said "AGAIN" after they finished their jumps. And, the snorkeling was amazing too! This is my second time as a resident of Oahu using Trident Adventures for jumping out of their helicopter, followed by Diving. Im a certified scuba diver with over 500 dives and so was my buddy, but his family had never experienced it and Steve who owns the company and is also a master diver and former Navy seal took his wife daughter Son and daughters boyfriend on an introductory dive and I must say it was amazing seeing them all underwater with us not freaking out not having any issues just really enjoying the experience. Everybody was so elated after the dive and especially the helicopter jump. STEVE makes everybody feel safe, and assured that nothing bad is going to happen. He has built a career with all his experience being a Navy seal on safety and precautions and going by the book when it comes to taking care of customers, I already have people that are wanting to come visit me in Hawaii and do just that, jump out of a helicopter and go diving and I will go right back to Steve, no questions asked he is showman. Went out with Trident for the second time and the experience, staff and crew are always amazing. Max works his butt off and if you don't tip the man, I say shame on you. Never have to lift a finger with him around. As for the experience, Trident Adventures doesn't provide cheap gear for rentals and the cost of not having your own gear is worth the cost. My family of 5 tried the Discover Scuba Dive. One son ended up opting out once we started descending and the other had to go up to clear his mask. Our dive professional, Malani was very sweet and patient with us. She had 2 assistants helping her but my sons said they weren't super nice to them. Unfortunately, once we got down and did all of the required stuff, we really only saw a few turtles and didn't get to really explore anything. We paid for the go-pro but got more pictures of they guy snorkeling and the crew doing free dives. Our pictures weren't very good, thankfully my husband had his own go-pro. I jumped out of a helicopter into the Pacific, then got aboard their dive boat and went scuba diving. Through it all, retired SEAL Steve and his crew made certain that every one in our party was safe and comfortable. I seriously don't understand why it is so difficult to find a decent dive shop in a diving Mecca like Hawaii. Trident Adventures is no exception to this. Took some tanks for a VIP and they stated, "can't do it because you used to have nitrox in them". EDIT: There were no nitric markings on the tank aside from old pieces of tape that said "32%" on them. I had removed the NITROX bands from the tanks last year. So, these tanks were strictly ran with air only. On top of this, they were supposed to call on a Saturday to establish a drop off time. That never happened. Then I wait until Monday to call and am told, "I called the wrong person". So, I have had these tanks for YEARS and have run both nitrox and air in them with no problems until I get to Hawaii. Dive shops live and die by word of mouth so you'd think they would be a little willing to at least listen to their customers (or potential customers, in this case). My wife and I were going to book a $1200 jump and dive package as soon as things re-open but I will not give them a single red cent of my money at this point. Veteran owned and operated? As if that should sway my opinion of a sub-par company? Hard EDIT: In response to the owners passive aggressive response...This could have easily been used as a learning opportunity to inform staff of proper practices. Since this "Donna S." Responded, is like to point out that I have never seen/spoken to him so all of his information is from someone that would try and defend their wrong actions to avoid negative repercussions. With that being said, most of what he responded with is incorrect information. There were no NITROX bands on the tanks. There were small pieces of tape that have been there for a year since I last had a VIP. This service was not done to accommodate ME. They have been operating daily during the pandemic by allowing equipment servicing etc. So, now we are at poor business ethics, personality complex (clearly has a superiority complex) and a lack of basic servicing knowledge by the service techs. Also, what ever happened to the "silent professionals" Seems like more and more of y'all are using your former volunteer position to try and make money. So much for modesty read more

My sister took me on a scuba diving lesson & experience with her recently and I HAD to write this review. I frequent the ocean, and often paddle, among other activities but have never found the courage to try scuba itself. The idea of being underwater breathing always kind of tripped me out. I am so happy I decided to go for it! THE TRUTH: I actually had a mini panic attack when we got started. My brain/ body found it odd to breathe under water. I could NOT have asked for a better scuba instructor. I was instantly calmed, and was able to actually enjoy every moment going forward from this. The professionalism and ability to calm nerves underwater was what I attribute my nerve wracking turned amazing experience into what it was. Our dive: we saw sharks, fish, and even a hono on our dive ! So much more than what we could've imagined. We were also able to try the underwater scooters which was awesome!! The boat: the boat was STOCKED with snacks, sunscreen, hair ties you name it. This was hands down the nicest, cleanest dive boat I've seen on island. You can tell no detail was looked over on this boat. The crew was beyond amazing, welcoming and it has easily become one of my favorite memories ever on the water. I would honestly say this was the BEST scuba diving experience I've had. Have dived as a beginner in the Philippines, Bali, Europe, and other places but they r truly the best. Not the best in Hawaii but the world! Not kidding. Entire crew was on point. Detailed, organized, professional and the best of all fun. Saw dolphins, so many kinds of fish, octopus, an eel, and the best surprise was seeing a 10 foot shark from a far and safe distance. I AM terrified of sharks but Rick's demeanor and scuba skills made us feel 100% safe. Actually made me now fear less of them. I've lived here since 2019 and so far I'm so impressed with the entire trip. Planning to go back for sure!! P.S. if u can request someone as a guide. Pick Rick! Today, me and my parents came here for snorkeling at 10:30am Price: $$ it was cheeper than others. $149 per person for 4 hours (include snack, drink and all equipment) Staff: lovely staff. There were 4 professionals in our trip. They were always ready for helping us. We took the boat an hour ~ an hour and half to snorkeling spot And we did snorkeling 1hours with magic carpet. After snorkeling, they gave us pineapples and drink. It was best pineapple in my life, When we returning, they found a lot of dolphins ! I never seen this amount of dolphins before. It was adorable. Not only was I so excited to do this excursion they gave military discount BUT the email that was sent to us told us to go to the wrong location for pick up. We showed up an hour early at the PICK UP SIGN FOR TRIDENT ADV. AT PIER B ( which the email stated to be at ) and waited and WAITED until 2 . We called up and they told us to go to the shop which we couldn't find. We were walking around looking for the shop for a bit. We gave up and just called for a re book but today was the last day that they were doing that excursion. I'm so upset about this. A half day in Waikiki ruined and money wasted on 3 parking lots looking for this shop. THE WORST PART WAS WE NEVER GOT A REFUND. Robbery without gun point. read more

Trident Adventures is the definition of luxury diving. You definitely get what you pay for. The level of service is extraordinary and leads to a diving experience that cannot be compared. The boat that they use is beautiful and spacious. They go out with small group sizes to provide a more personal experience. Shawn the dive master that was with us noticed that my GoPro wasn't turning on and was quick to switch my battery with his. I am so grateful because i was able to capture amazing videos and photos that i will always have. Garret on the boat was always there to help take dive gear off and reset it up on to new tanks. He also made some delicious pineapple with Li hing and had lots of other refreshments! Captain Mark was very knowledgable and was able to pick out some great dive spots for the day!
