Twas the first time all of us were home together since before Covid. My dad passed a few years ago and we all couldn't be home for it bc it was during Covid. So this was actually the first time all 5 of us kids were home at the same time. It's a trip that had to happen for sure. So getting the boat for an afternoon was super nice and a special day for sure. We got a pontoon boat for the afternoon. My brother and his wife rented it for 6 hours. I can't remember the exact price, I wanna say $450 for the6 hours, but don't quote me on that bc I THINK it may have been a tad more expensive. It's definitely a little pricey, but compared to their competitors, German Brothers definitely had the better price. The so-called "inconvenience" of renting from the vs the other(s) is German Bros is located out on West Lake Rd as the other is located in town...which is why I think they can get away with charging more at that place. The guys at German Bros were fantastic. Super friendly, super helpful...honestly don't have one bad thing to say about them or the business. For my first time experiencing one of these boat rental companies back home, I was definitely satisfied and even from my social media posts from that day and the days after our day on the lake, I referred like 5 people to this place and told them how much better it would be to go with them especially if they were worried about cost. You definitely save using German Brothers and these days, who isn't trying to save money any way they can? One thing to point out, you do have to pay for the gas for the boat and that cost is not included in the rental cost. You pay for the gas at the end of your time on the boat and I wanna say it's like a dollar and change more than what we'd pay at the pump ourselves. Then again, wait, haha, not sure what kind of gas these boats use haha! Just know tho, you pay separate for the gas. I recommended this to 5 different people (as mentioned already) and I'd gladly recommend to 5 more, 10 more, etc. They're a fantastic company and they deserve all the business they can get. This is the finger lake that nobody knows about. It's only 8 miles long, and yet even Eminem has (probably) never been here. Even when his palms were sweaty and he had vomit on his sweater already (Mom's Spaghetti). It's the furthest of the finger lakes, there are 10 others to the North and East.

I asked 5-7 times on the phone if he had put his eyes on the boat and he said and I quote "we don't take in anything even with spider cracks". Upon getting there I saw the damage and Dannie scratched the back of his head and goes "guess I didn't see that". Sure.... As you can see in the photos it was clearly damaged. He then said "I'll fix it" and "well I'll knock off 1,000$" like that's not the point there was damage done to the fiberglass. He then proceeded to argue with me over it's a 20 year old boat it's not gonna be perfect... typical used car salesmen with shady tactics. Stay away from this place. I caught DANNIE in multiple lies. One with the gelcoat, then with the hours of the boat he said and I quote "it's got between 400-500 hours, but definitely nothing over 500" it was 511.... Not a crazy difference but still a lie. Then the back story behind the boat when I got there he all of sudden didn't know much since "someone else took it in on trade" all of a sudden.. STAY AWAY from this place. Can't even imagine what they are hiding about these boats if they lie about the smallest of things and waste peoples time like they did mine. Long story short don't trust this shady boat marina.

I saw this…read moreused pontoon there so I got the phone number for the company and I called them about the pontoon. I was informed that I would have to come to the dealership to find out about the pontoon. I could not do it that day so a week later I rove a little over an hour to get there. I talked with the salesman explained what I was looking for and I waited about 40 minutes for him to get ahold of the owner to find out how much they wanted for the pontoon. Then we haggled a little and we finely agreed on a price. I asked him if he was sure the owner would accept the offer and he said yes and we shook hands and he said it was a done deal. So I left and decided to go look at the pontoon again at the warehouse to see what I would need to get started on it when I was informed that the owner had forgotten that he had already sold it to a wholesaler out of Canada. So much for a done deal, I wish that they had been up front that they wanted more money for the pontoon. Everything is great until you return the equipment when it becomes like a perfectly rehearsed play. There is a scratch on the boat and it is going to cost you x amount. Even though the existing scratches are recorded they will say this is a new one and has to be sanded out. Sure, they say, everyone says we did't touch anything but the scratches just appear by themselves. The fact that this has played out twice now in very similar circumstances is no coincidence. We got suckered, don't do it, use someone else who won't try and make an extra few bucks out of you. The equipment was good, the staff were friendly when we were taking the boat out, but that totally changed on the return. If you use them, be prepared for the extra hidden costs they will lay on you.

Great place to park your boat for a summer! Their prices are about average for the area. The owners…read moreare super friendly. They even allow boaters to park their campers there for a weekend stay at $15 a night. On site they have a little house with three full service bathrooms. Only members get the code to get into two but the third is open to the public. There are so many docks and spots for boaters to rent a spot. The parking lot is nice and large to park for the day and even for friends to park while spending the day on the water. Great marina overall!
