I rented a pontoon boat for two days on honeoye lake on July 17th and 18th of 2025. I was not disappointed at all with the pontoon boat even though it was older and I was told when I booked it, that it was an older boat, the engine ran perfectly for the two full days! We rented 2 pontoon boats for a family trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Boats could have been a little cleaner and the engine on one had some issues so we had to get it repaired. All in all we had a great time and the staff went above and beyond to make our day on the lake enjoyable for all. read more

Check your bill! Boats are dirty which a simple squirt down with a hose and throwing out the prior rental empty beer cans would do wonders. But a dirty boat is better than nothing. My issue is January 2023 I received a bill for a boat rental back in 2020!!! A bill I know I paid because back in 2020 I emailed the owner Jim for a breakdown explaining the charges since my credit card was charged more than the website. I NEVER got a response. Now nearly three years later the bill I received is lower than what I paid back in 2020. Thank god I have the same credit card so I could pull history - imagine have to find a bill from 3 years ago? I wonder if I'll get a bill in 2025 for the boat I rented last summer- read more

Very quick and easy process to rent a boat. We got the power boat 20 foot Bayliner for 4.5 hours. Came with a nice tube. It was clean and fast. The people who work their are friendly but lack a sense of urgency and enthusiasm, like talking to Eeyore. But they got the job done. Trident Marine - Boat Repair Near Me - Honeoye, New York

We spent a wonderful day on Honeoye Lake. There was a nice breeze and the air was warm but not muggy. There was some boating on the lake but not like a holiday weekend. We rented a pontoon boat from Trident Marina. It did move us up and down the lake. We did enjoy swimming off of it and it had an aluminum roof which provided some shade. But most of the boat was disgusting. The owners were clearing milking this asset which should have been retired years ago. The seats were ripped, exposing foam padding which collected food. The table was rickety and shook around when the boat was in motion. The ceiling light on the roof was broken out. The ladder to get out of the water constantly came out of its brackets, so it had to be held in place manually when anyone wanted to enter the boat from the water. In addition, the legs on the ladder that go against the pontoon were broken so the ladder tilted the person backwards, away from the boat, when trying to get in. But worst of all was the floor. It was disgusting. It was completely saturated, so much so that you had a "yuck" feeling on your bare feet. I am confident there was mold and filth growing in it. It had obviously never been cleaned, let alone subject to daily cleaning after a rental. Did I report this to the owners? No. If they were interested in keeping their equipment up, my mentioning it to them would not have been necessary. Besides, that boat should be pulled from the water and replaced with something you would want to put your family in. read more

We reserved a pontoon boat for a day with out of town family. The girl at the at the computer getting the information was extremely rude, not only to me but to a girl that was apparently new there. When this girl pulled the boat up to the dock, we all looked at each other. It was a joke that they would even rent something like this. We ask for something else because this was just unacceptable. She brought another one around and it really was disgusting. This one was never cleaned up at all!! Dead bugs all over the seats and bugs floating in the tables cup holders. The manager ask the new girl to clean it up. Honestly, if you are running a business and you are any good the manager himself should have apologized and none of the the boats should look like that. How do you rent out boats and have the nerve to think that's ok to rent them without cleaning them up for the next person. Even with a little rag and cleaner the boat was overall absolutely disgusting. Filthy. Who ever owns this place really needs to get on his game and on top of it all one person tells us that all the pontoon boats the same size are the same price, the other said they are all different! Go to another lake and marina, don't waste your money. Clean lake a lot of weeds if you fish. read more
