Upon opening, when issues arise the technicians were quick to resolve any issues without need for secondary visits. The closing is equally as good. The weekly cleaning and chemical balancing usually leaves us with a crystal clear pool. Again, a testament to the technicians ability and care. Over the years, we had a few major issues with our in-ground pool as well. Dario was always quick to respond and help to oversee repairs and helped with recommendations for 3rd party contractors (concrete repair and marble dusting ). About four months ago, we signed a contract for a $15,000 project to rebuild all the pipes of an in-ground pool, for which I paid a $6,000 deposit. Just before the project was set to begin, I decided not to move forward (the reasons are another story I may leave for a separate review). Zachary initially agreed to refund the deposit, but that's when the horrible experience started. They first claimed the entire $6,000 deposit had already been spent on "materials," and that it would take time to recover the money from their supplier. The project itself was mostly labor, and even if every material had been purchased upfront, it would not reasonably exceed $1,000. I was never provided any proof to support their claim. They promised to return the full refund within six weeks. Partial repayments were made, but the schedule kept changing, amounts kept shrinking, and payments were skipped repeatedly with various excuses. Now, 16 weeks later, only about half of the deposit has been repaid.

Pete and the team at Gus Pools are hands down the best contractors we've ever worked with-- period. Honest, reliable, incredibly responsive and fairly priced. (In fact their prices are too reasonable and should be raised!) Just nice, decent folks you don't see much of these days. His recommendations were also fantastic- we used his mason, Eddie who was also amazing. And his architect Genarro Finelli. I saw some negative posts by a few haters about not being able to get Gus to service certain people's pools, because they weren't built by Gus. That just motivated us to have Gus build our pool so they could service it!

On approx wed the 15th of June I called and spoke with a gentleman there. He took my info and said they would get back in touch with me soon and look at the pool. Then on Sat the 18th I called and left a message inquiring about when they could look at the pool? On Monday the 20th I called again and was informed that Jimmy was out of the office and would call Tues. Called again on Thurs the 23rd and asked for Jimmy. Was recognized and informed he was on the phone and would call me in 15 minutes. Called again in half hour and was informed that at this time they will not work on my pool? Not a great way to run a business! I will speak with my friends who recommended Jimmy and get their reaction. Very disappointed, thought Lessner Pools was a decient company. Guess Not!
