There are, of course, the obvious benefits of a Trifecta meal delivery - I save a ton of time prepping, ton of money buying the food, quality of meat and veggies is top notch and I have all my macros on hand any time instead of eating out or stashing protein bars in every purse. But what really impressed me is the simple fact that the food is legit delicious. I was soo not expecting that from a delivered pre-cooked meal, but I look forward to eating them. When I have a few extra minutes, I like to cook them on the stove and add some spices and oils for extra flavor, but honestly, even simply microwaved, with nothing added, these meals taste so good! I have been getting a mix of the Paleo and Clean meals for a while, and they are different every week and have seriously been getting better and better. Last week was my second delivery and i received all 10 the same meal, Salsa Verde Salmon Casserole with Rice and Beans. I don' know about others, but i can't eat the same thing for 5 days straight (btw, i don't eat breakfast) Don't waste your money with this place. read more

Most of the food is really bland, so bland that it isn't sustainable long term for me. I've tried the keto plan which I couldn't eat and a la carte. A la carte is better. The meat is pretty tasty but must be really high in fat content because there is grease all over my stove after cooking. The salmon, chicken, quinoa and vegetables are all pretty tasteless. And it's pretty expensive. Spending $130/week for one person to eat but still have to go to the grocery store every week and spend $150 for everyone else, I end up spending over $1000/month on food. read more

Positives: Keto Plan had 2 fish entrees each week. One week really good turkey meal. First week, amount of salt was fine. Second week: Veggies were cooked with nutritional value present. Negatives: Mostly ground beef meals, some chicken. All were either bland, veggies overcooked, or too salty. Some portions too small. More properly cooked veggies!! I am a 5 day a week cross-fitter and coach, looking for an easy meal prep option to save time. Positives: Food was packaged nice, always delivered on time and the idea is great. Customer service was nice and no issues there. So convenient if it had worked. Negatives: Some of the food was just not good. I tried clean, vegetarian and vegan. One vegan shipment I was sent multiple of the same item, and I didn't like it. Sadly, I threw away most of the vegan order. The Clean shipment had better meals if you are considering. My biggest complaint would be there is no where to cancel on the website! I absolutely hate that. Just make it easy to cancel please! read more

The portions are perfect for me and they filled with veggies (I get the Vegan ones) I have a weekly delivery of 14 meals/wk for the last 3-4 weeks and it seems like every meal is different. I'm fairly appalled by the audacity of the Trifecta staff. My second week of paleo meals contained white potatoes, which are not paleo. I also received mostly the same meals in my shipment, which is annoying but nothing to write home about, but I called to cancel my subscription anyway. During the phone call the person I spoke to was rude and condescending. She was also extremely pushy, and I had to very firmly insist that I wanted to cancel. I started to poke around further and realized that the potatoes weren't listed on the ingredients, so I sent Trifecta an email about it. Amanda tried to tell me that they are white sweet potatoes, when they are clearly just plain white potatoes. What concerns me most about this is the fact that Trifecta is obviously trying to hide the cheap fillers in their meals by not listing them in the ingredients, calling into question the validity of their nutritional info. It's never a good idea to lie to your customers, and treat them like they're stupid. Trifecta is obviously more concerned with ripping people off and making a quick buck than actual nutrition. read more

Tried Trifecta for over a month and my order was delivered incomplete 4/5 times. I hoped this service would save time and effort, but It ended up costing me more time to track down their support team and send them a list of the missing items. Not only that but I had planned on having the meals after paying for them and had to fend for myself and spend more money when the meals I paid for were not delivered. We signed up for trifecta/whole 30 and we ordered enough food for a month. It was apparently a subscription although I did not receive a notification for the charge a week later. I called the company and they said the charge cleared on my credit card so at this point it was too late to cancel the food. They told me to take it out with my credit card company instead. VEGETARIAN plan review - If you are looking for delicious vegetarian meals only, this you will enjoy this plan. However, if you are looking for a vegetarian option that allows you to eat low calorie or hit your macros, look elsewhere. The meals taste good but are VERY high in fat. I wouldn't expect this from vegetarian food. It makes it difficult to hit your macros, especially if you're on a low calorie diet. One meal in my fridge right now is 610 calories (half a day worth of calories for a woman my size), 27g protein (good for a vegetarian meal), 32g of fat, and 53g of carbs. The lowest amount of fat I've found in my meals has been 14g. Next week I'll receive meals from the a la cart menu and expect the macros/calories to be better. I typically don't like writing negative reviews because I think it can be harmful to a business, but the communication from this company is NOT good. It's a shame because all of the meals I've had are absolutely delicious. *Before I begin, I want to say I've never had an issue with the quality of food or the taste. It's all been with logistics and communication. My first delivery was spot on. My order was correct and it arrived on Friday like they've always mentioned. But it started going downhill after that. They promise a Friday delivery, but that first box was the only one that arrived on a Friday. I would get emails saying that my delivery had been delayed and they would send an email when it had been shipped. I think I've had about 2 Saturday deliveries and my most recent box was just delivered on TUESDAY. I understand shipping can be out of their control, especially with the recent winter storms across the country. The issue I have is that they still promise Friday delivery. If it's not achievable, why say that? Another issue I have is how far in advance you have to skip your meals. Not a huge deal, because a lot of that falls on the customer. My biggest issue came when I went to cancel my account. First off, you can't do it online which is frustrating. My first attempt was through their chat feature on their website on a Monday. I submitted a request and heard nothing. I then emailed that same day (later in the delay) and heard nothing. I did not hear from them until Thursday and by that time my other box had shipped and I was charged. I sent them MULTIPLE follow up emails and had gotten no response. When I did finally hear on Thursday, there was no acknowledgement of how long it took to respond only that my account had been canceled. They did rectify it by partially refunding my box. As a person whose career is in Customer Service as an Account Manager I couldn't help but be appalled. My boyfriend also ordered his first box and it took about 2.5-3 weeks to be delivered. Lasting thoughts: great food, terrible logistics and communication. I hope they can figure it out and hopefully this review helps. read more

First time trying Trifecta and I before I even ate a meal I want my money back . My first order was to be delivered on a Friday. According to their website orders ship out on Tuesday's. I had plans for a weekend get away and was waiting for my delivery before I left but it never came. I checked my email later in the afternoon only to get a message that said oops, your order is delayed and would not be delivered until Saturday. At this point I was hoping they would be more delayed as I would be gone all weekend. When I got home Sunday the whole box was defrosted and I ended up throwing the whole order in the garbage. Nothing like wasting $220 because they decided to notify me on the day it should be delivered that it was actually not shipped out yet. I tried to contact them Sunday but got voicemail so I called the next day to the same thing and decided to email instead. I tried to log into my account to cancel future orders but i got a message saying no account is found. The next day I got an email stating my order was on the way... I did not understand how that worked as I according to them I had no account. I called again and finally got a call back and they canceled future orders but were snotty when I said how can you charge me when I don't have an account. Not long after I got a call back, I received a response to my email I sent the previous Sunday and was told in the email I did not have an account with them... scammers! super dissatisfied! Customer service was snotty and did not care at all.. on top of that the food sent was half elk, which I am allergic to. So now I'm out almost $500 and have maybe 5 meals to show for it.. most expensive crappy meal I've ever had. Switching over to balanced bites! read more

They sent the same breakfast every single day of that week and it was eggs and POTATOES. The next time I gave them a shot a few months later I tried KETO. The meals arrived and not only did they have poatatoes even though the label said sweet poatoes which is really neither gere not there I would have been over on carbs halfway through the first meal on every meal they sent. There has to be a better meal delivery service out there. The food is just ok. The meals had very little flavor. For a woman, the portion size was decent. I could not imagine this filling up a man. If you are traveling with the meals or bringing them to work, make sure you have either a razor blade with you or scissors. The packaging can be very difficult to open and messy. When canceling my subscription, customer service was easy. I had to wait a bit on the phone lines and that is all. I do find their service a bit sketchy. After the first couple of meals, I knew I would be canceling so, I went ahead and skipped the next 4 weeks. When checking my bank statement, I noticed I had been charged. Trifecta said "You must have accidentally unskipped it." I strongly believe this is not true. Before trying this service out, I would recommend looking elsewhere first. read more

Trifecta is a great addition for my food plan. I don't use it for all my meals as I'm not some super athlete. I have health conditions and follow a strict diet. Having someone else prepare occasional meals is a godsend. I do freeze some of the meals and they work OK. Try some of everything to see what works for you. Ala Carte food is great for simplifying home cooking. Use the initial coupon to try a lot Of different foods. This would be great for new parents, someone undergoing surgery and anytime you need healthy good food and can't cook or go out. Changing your order is easy, but you do have to stay on top of it. read more

After a 2 year span where I gained almost 50 lbs and broke 2 ankles playing baseball, it was time to make a change. My first order arrived just after Christmas of last year, and I've been using the service ever since. I chose the A la Carte option and stock up on lean, healthy protein like their wild caught Atlantic salmon, flat iron steak, chicken, and turkey every week. Everything is organic, grass fed with no added hormones or GMO. The food is delicious, easy to prepare, and is already seasoned to perfection. As of August, I've lost over 45 lbs and haven't felt better in years! I'm back down to what I weighed in college, and am doing better than ever in sports. I visit a lot of customers for work, and now I get compliments from them regularly (especially the ones I haven't seen in a while). I've tried buying healthy meats from the grocery store, but it was always a struggle to stay on track with cooking and food prep. Now that I have a full week's worth of food delivered to my door every Friday, it's so incredibly easy that I no longer have any excuses. This was the only way for me, and it's worked beautifully. Food was just okay - portions were good but taste could have been better. Customer service response was slow - online and on the phone. I suspended my delivery online, but forgot to cancel before the next delivery, and there was no reminder email that I had another shipment to be delivered soon. There's no option to cancel your subscription online so I called customer service a couple of times but wasn't able to talk to anyone in person and was forwarded to voicemail after being on hold for a while. I did eventually get a call back confirming that my subscription was cancelled. Shortly after that I received a voicemail from a manager wanting to talk to me to address my concerns. So at least they are trying to improve customer service. I appreciate that. I tried one of the meals and it was good and the portion size was fine for me. Buyer beware. Wish I seen these reviews before ordering. Late order delivered to the wrong house on another street. Ordered 21 meals to try the variety and put in 3 skip weeks so I had time to try everything. 7 breakfasts turned out to be 7 frittatas. 4 with tomatoes and 4 with spinach. Some variety that is. Hope I like frittatas. I also ordered 7 lunches and 7 dinners. Guess what - lunches and dinners are the same meals. That's right, I got 7 meal choices - 2 of of each. Absolutely no variety. I have emailed with NO response. I have called and waited on hold forever until finally the last message they play is to leave your number for a call back...or email us they say. But wait, they don't answer emails either. You have to call to cancel and they don't answer their phones. So what's up with that? read more

We ordered both lunches and dinners for 7 days in hopes of finding a way to make our lives easier. Hubby is Vegan, but he had 4 repeat meals for just the first week. 2 Smokey Tomato Dual Bean Bowl, 2 Spiced Cauliflower Brown Rice, 2 curried vegetable pilaf, 2 lentil bolognese pastas. He reported the flavor was no better than his Amy freezer meals which cost 1/2 the price per meal. We also looked at the macros reported saying 22 grams of protein on one of the meals- that's physically impossible with the weight of the food and ingredients listed. There was nothing that stated fortified with pea protein or something of the sort either. I had requested paleo, but even after reporting via messenger I don't eat any meat except turkey and chicken - I had 8 meals arrive that I cannot eat b/c 6 had salmon (I don't eat due to plastic pollution and mercury) and 2 with beef... these will be donated to the local Meals on Wheels. All in all huge waste of $$$ and that was with an awesome coupon. On the upside- meals arrived on time, packaged well, and and with sufficient freezer bags to keep it cold. read more

We ordered Trifecta for my elderly mom on the recommendation of my 20 year old son who is new into bodybuilding and has heard a lot of positive things about Trifecta's menu/food. My mother has a lot of health issues, is having trouble doing meal prep for herself, and also has a lot of dietary restrictions. We've tried a number of food delivery companies and the food just doesn't work for my mom because it is too rich and has too many spices. The convenience of Trifecta is spot on. The Trifecta proteins are perfect for her - quality, all natural, flavorful, and not laden in spices and condiments. The vegetables are delicious too but they are a little too firm for her. For this reason we ended up having to cancel our subscription, but this is not the fault of Trifecta whose audience does not need softer foods :-). We were able to easily cancel the subscription. I used the chat box on the website and David deactivated our account in seconds. A couple of reasons for 4 stars and not 5 stars: the packaging is wasteful. We do reuse the ice packs as they are perfect for coolers, etc. but do eventually have to throw these away. Also, we're not sure how to recycle the insulated lining so it just winds up in the garbage. It would be great if the insulated packaging could be recycled. My other critique is about the variety of food. Protein selections are strong but vegetable selections could be expanded and more creative. For example, how about adding acorn squash, butternut squash or other winter squashes to the mix? Overall, more vegetable variety is needed. I also think Trifecta should look into adding Hatch green chile onto the menu. Very low calorie but adds huge flavor. On a final note, my son is a *starving* college student but can't wait to re-subscribe to Trifecta when he has a real paying job. We do appreciate the product! read more
