A faulty, non-code-compliant water-heater installation led to mold / water damage, forcing our family to live elsewhere for over two weeks. The City of La Quinta issued a Cease-and-Desist / Stop Work Order, yet management still charges full rent and utilities while part of our home remains sealed off under a mold-containment tent. We've received no lab results or proof that our unit is habitable, and communication from management has been nearly nonexistent. This is unacceptable and unsafe for any paying tenant. We are reserving all rights under California Civil Code § 1941.1 and § 1942, which require landlords to keep units habitable and give tenants remedies when they do not. The suns rays hit the pool just perfectly even in the winter you can sunbathe. The trees and plants around are also beautiful. Maitenance issues are addressed and management is professional. It by far has been the best place I have ever lived and felt so much at home. From my very first visit into the leasing office which is gorgeous and straight out the glass doors the beautiful view of the pools and water fountain. The manager Angie and her entire team represent the property very well. Clearly she takes pride in the role that she has and each of her leasing agents are very kind and polite. When I was looking for a place I didn't want a brand new built complex because I prefer to be surrounded with lush trees and landscaping. If you enjoy taking walks and be as surrounded with beautiful trees and plants to calm your nerves in this crazy world you can't go wrong here. All my friends visit me every summer because it feels like a small resort to them. It really is beautiful here. The other night we just had our 2024 resident holiday party. I don't know of any other complex that does this for the residents. Once again we had music entertainment fresh catered food and they raffled off gifts. It's a great way to get the residents together and we enjoy ourselves. I know Angie and her team does not need to do this to show their appreciation but we do appreciate it each year. If you're looking for a place to live the moment you drive into the complex and see the beautiful water fountain and the beautiful flowers you know that they care for the grounds beautifully and they care for their residents you can't go wrong beautiful location beautiful grounds and a great team to support you. We moved to Palm Desert from L.A in 2022, and lived at the Regent for two years. The apartments are…read morenice enough. The grounds could be truly beautiful if only the residents weren't so trashy. Literally. I've never lived in a community where it was common practice for residents to pile trash bags outside their front door for days on end. Too lazy to walk them to the dumpsters. Ew! There are wonderfully convenient Dog Waste stations everywhere, yet the grass and walkways are always filled with poop. When I had asked the leasing agent if The Regent was a Smoke Free community she said "Yes. Absolutely!" She lied. Not only do more than half the residents smoke on their patios and balconies, but they smoke WEED. And a lot of them like to begin their morning at 8am smoking a bong. So, if you like to have your windows open, your apartment will smell like cigarettes and weed. Because there isn't a playground, residents' children run around kicking soccer balls at their neighbors' walls. Basically, The Regent could really be quite idyllic (beautiful grassy areas, pools, and tennis courts) if only the residents weren't so inconsiderate and tacky.

There was even a pillow under the stairs for weeks where a homeless man had been living she had no idea of until I brought it up. Work orders took forever. She didn't live there and was part time. In a smoke free community she did nothing about kids smoking weed because "she hasn't seen them do it". There were always cigarette buds and empty bottles by the front gate. The worst was, she had a third company powering washing that ruined my patio furniture. I was never told or aware they'd be on my 2nd story patio right outside my window while I was sleeping in my room. I brought this to her attention and she said that she could reimburse me like 200 dollars. She never did that. A few days later I got a letter on a Friday right before she left for the weekend from her saying that I was unable to renew my lease / notice to vacate within 60 days. I had never so much as had an argument with a neighbor in four years. In fact I'd usually look after their apts or pets when they were gone. I was medically not able to move at the time due to things that occurred in and out of the military and had to worry about being displaced. Her reason for kicking me out was, "well you seemed unhappy here". I sat on things for weeks before ever bringing things to her attention. I have the audio in public of her admitting frankly, and a few conversations, that she did it because she thought I was giving her a hard time. When I did move out months later I gave her my forwarding address and was told I didn't have to pay anything on the way out, the unit was ok and that legally because of how long I'd lived there and how often they have to replace certain things I was good. Mv parents had to pay out of pocket on the final walk through and then she sent a bill in my name for 80 something dollars to collections affecting my credit. When I called she said that she tried to contact me. She never did. No missed call, no voicemail, no letter in the mail. During my stay there she would say to multiple people that she tried contacting them, that she sent a voicemail but she never did. This isn't the early 2000's where calls and voicemails just get lost. At times she was petty and spiteful. She was never kind and had distant business like rapport with the people living there. If she is still working there I wouldn't recommend living there. She doesn't have your best interests in mind. There also multiple people that left the community after years, like me, because of her. I am generally kind, never post reviews, and understand that every job has easy and challenging parts but this was more than anything should have to deal with.

We didn't have an appointment, we were just a walk-in at the very end of the day, because the leasing agent from another complex (Modern Cactus) didn't show up to our appointment. Michael happily took us in even though he had a crazy day with back to back appointments. Michael is kind, friendly, funny, and very obviously loves his job. He is very attuned to a persons body language, and he can tell if you absolutely love the unit or if you aren't thrilled about it, and at the end of the tour he asks you opened ended questions about how you are feeling/ to see if he can find a unit that better suits you. He also tries to get you the best possible deals that he can. I loved that he didn't pressure us at all, as he knows how important it is for a tenant to be happy with their living space. Ultimately, with heavy heart we decided not to go with desert boutique and villa boutique because of money reasons (I am a student, so we decided it was better to go with a less nice place and save a bit of money). But I would recommend Michael and Desert/ Villa boutique to anyone looking for a gorgeous apartment in palm springs! 10/10 customer service from Michael!!! He is the hardest working leasing agent I have ever met.

So beautiful! It was perfect for me and my needs…read more I stayed here for a week because of dance competitions being held near here. A friend and I went halvsies on the bill. The home was clean and very nice. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available, the pantry had the essentials and grocery stores were super close. The beds were comfy and cozy! Water pressure was beautiful! The pools were so peaceful and quiet. There are EV chargers here and Tesla charging is a mile away. There is also a bar here on the premises! Thank you for reading!!
