This was Birmingham's greatest brewery it had incredible hazy DDH New England style IPA's and well as tropical fruity sours. Tons of cans were available to go even the recently released specialty beers such as 006 also double dry hopped and Giant Steps. The Breakfast Hero cans must be purchased with tin coffee cup especially for the outdoorsman to get that perfect beer shot for Instagram. Couches were comfy and staff were cool and very helpful to me in my needs. Spent well over a hundred bucks in to go beers and flights so I could try most of their offerings. FYI didn't get enough I focused too heavily on IPA's and Breakfast Stout instead of getting the delicious sours. As I'm from SC there no chance of me atoning for my mistake so buy more varieties. People back home always want your beers and cans so get tons. read more

Went here with some friends of mine and absolutely loved the atmosphere - very laid back and relaxed with plenty of seating inside and out. They have a good selection of drinks including non-alcoholic kombucha if you happen to not want to or be able to drink. They have a stage on the outside and a small venue space inside for bands to play too. If you're looking for a spot to listen to some local music, try out some craft beer, and sit back and relax after a long day of work, this is the place! read more

Trim Tab is another great brewery in Birmingham. They do several beers really well and continue to push the envelope with new styles and variants of some of their popular flag ship beers. The location is used for a lot of cool things other than just drinking beer and hanging out, though it is great for just that. Yoga, concerts, and an art gallery are just a few of the things I have experienced in my visits. Check out the board games for a little something fun to do while enjoying your beers. Check their Facebook page because great events are happening regularly and you can stay updated on new releases, small batch releases, limited packaged offerings, and the food truck schedule. Cool brewery down the street from Ghost Train. You can easily walk to either in 5 min. They have about 12 selections at any given time. They release about two or three small batches a week. Beers that fall under Beach Club are released once or twice a month--this month was mango colada which is a sour and 8.0 ABV. They also have light vision collection which include their ipas. It's a really laid-back spot, with a lot of cool seating in the inside including tables chairs and couches. They also have a projector so that you can watch various television events which is great, especially during football season. read more

This was stop #3 on our Birmingham Brewery Tour. Fun spot--very busy. Trim Tab is a family and pet-friendly spot. We saw lots of kids and some of the cutest dogs while we were there. There is seating inside and out. They make this Rec Water which is a hard seltzer. The Pomegranate, Lemon water was sooo good. None of that weird aftertaste that some of the hard seltzer brands have. I tried a chocolate cake stout that was delicious as well. A great, fun stop on the brewery tour--don't miss it! read more

Trim Tab came highly recommended when we first moved to Birmingham. It did not disappoint! The beers are super flavorful and the atmosphere of the brewery is fun and funky. They have loads of outdoor space to accommodate their large crowds, though the inside space is limited. The only thing I dislike about Trim Tab is that their selection of beers tends to be limited to IPAs and sours. I personally love both of those styles of beer so it's good for me, but when I bring others who are not the biggest IPA/sours fans, they are limited in their options. But the beers that they do offer are so good that it makes up for this lack of variety! They also do small batch releases every week, so there is always something new to try. My fave brewery because I love their beers. I am a huge lover of sour beers and they always have a new one every time I come! I love that they have a huge patio outdoors with shade and allow lots of dogs but I also love the indoor area when it's a bit chilly. People can get door dash food there and there are food trucks there on weekends. They even have trivia nights ! read more

My brother and I chose to try Trim Tab based on the reviews we had seen and it's location. I was really quite disappointed. I had the sangria, which was fine. However, it was the entire atmosphere that really killed it for me. In addition, their sound system was awful and just made the music sound even worse. read more

Well, I've been here a few times now. Trim Tab is easily my favorite Alabama brewery. They're constantly making interesting and delicious beers. Whether it be IPA's, Sours or Stouts. I always, consistently seek them out and try all that I can. Their taproom space is huge but their indoor space is a little on the small side. Everyone working here has always been beyond pleasant, friendly and helpful. I haven't tried any of the food trucks but they always look and smell amazing. This is a gem y'all. read more

They are 3 years old and growing up well. Initially overstocked with IPA's and hoppy beers they have begun to branch out and broaden their palate. Their Raspberry Berlinerweiss is very popular. But what turned my head was the Russian Imperial Stout they had this winter. Damn I wish they would get rid of the idea that a beer is seasonal. I drink them all, all year round. Trim Tab provides great beer (widely available) and a great venue for trying all their beers and getting to know who's behind the operation and where it's all made. There are several beers that I definitely recommend giving a shot - their Mosaic IPA and new Salt Fudge (?) Milk Stout. As a beer drinker, however, I think their addition of Rec Water is not to be overlooked. It's similar to a carbonated seltzer water, but is processed similar to a beer and has a light, wheat beer type of taste that is refreshing, flavorful and light. The venue is a fun, casual experience, with two outdoor areas that has warm space heaters and a food truck on standby. During the summer hours they'll have a crawfish boil going on, which I highly recommend trying out. read more

Birmingham is so fortunate to have so many wonderful breweries, with Trim Tab not being an exception. The atmosphere at Trim Tab is unique, and the beer selection matches. My favorite beer there (and probably most of Birmingham's) is the Paradise Now. We love visiting the brewery because they will always have a small batch to try. During the summer, they released the Strawberry Cream Ale which was one of my favorites. There is a great indoor and outdoor seating area, with plenty of parking in a gravel lot and the side of the facility. They have a food truck to grab a snack or dinner if needed. The bar is almost always busy, so the bar tenders are typically quick and short with you (not a problem). I also enjoy the string lights on a summer night out by their patio. This isn't my favorite brewery in Birmingham; but if you are wanting to hit several, make sure to stop by and grab a brew at Trim Tab. read more

Another great brewery in Birmingham. I have been here a few times and it has consistently been great with beer variety but also atmosphere and service. Think of this place as a laid back, artsy kind of feel, with paintings for sale lining the wall. Seating is available outside on the patio, sidewalk, and also inside. Typically, there is also a food truck by the patio in case you get hungry-always a plus! Inside, there are benches, couches, and a few chairs and tables with modern style furniture. There is also a small stage area in one of the corners inside for live music. They are also dog friendly-inside and out! Yes, you heard me. Bring your dog in from the heat or enjoy a nice day out in the Spring and Fall. The selection of beer is great, with different small batches available throughout the year( and some of them even sold in cans!). My personal favorites are the Paradise Now and the Pillar to Post Brown Ale, but just about anything is good here! The service is usually ok. Even on busy days, the staff tries to help and get you what you need. My only small complaints have to do with weather and parking: on hotter days it gets super crowded inside and it's harder to find a seat; you may have to stand or revert to sweating outside. Parking is ample but not great; there is a gravel lot and grass-otherwise go find some street parking. Overall, a good place and I'll keep coming back! read more

I've always loved Trim Tab's Paradise Now raspberry beer and order it whenever I see it on a menu. But it was only recently that I actually went to the brewery. The place is cool and pup friendly. A great place to meet up with a group! Once the place got crowded though, it was very hard to carry a conversation with how loud it was. My husband gave up trying to participate in conversation with myself and our other friend because he couldn't hear. Around 6pm though, they turned on the disco ball and turned the lights down. I could have sat there for a while and enjoyed a few more beers despite the noise level. This is a cool spot and Trim Tab's beer is definitely one of my favorite local brews. Try their Rec Water too if you enjoy spiked seltzer and are looking for something lighter than beer. It's delicious!! read more

Very cute brewery! I came by Saturday night and loved all of the outdoor seating and the chill retro vibe inside. They have different seating options inside from tables to couches to barstools. The outside patio tables have huge umbrellas so we were even able to sit outside when it started to rain! I originally had come here when they first opened but they have really worked hard to transform this place! Their beer was also delicious! The breakfast hero was very deep and robust with tons of notes that made you keep sipping and the euphoria imperial sour was SO GOOD!!! Very fruity! One of, if not, the best taproom & brewery in Birmingham. Staff was very friendly in suggesting brews based off taste preferences and was more than happy to hand out multiple samples until you found the beer you wanted. While we didn't sit outside, there were multiple fires and plenty of seating for a couple or larger groups. Taproom has a large projector for watching sports or Netflix. This is probably one of my favorite breweries in town. Great vibes, plenty of seating, super spacious, and great brews, this place has everything you need for a great night. They have a nice outdoor seating area, tons of board games to choose from (we played hedbanz), and they even have a Korean fusion food truck that serves food until 9-10ish. I had some of their fries and green beans and I really enjoyed those! As for my drink, I wanted something refreshing so I tried their mango colada. This review is mainly for if you are planning an event here. First of I'd like to say the staff, bartenders, etc. we're amazing. They were nothing but nice and catering to any needs we had. However, when planning the event for about 30 people here and having food catered. I called multiple times and filled out the form and could never get a call back from the manager. I just wanted a yes or no, and a no would have very much been fine but no response for event planning is a nightmare. An employee eventually said that if we're buying beer it should be fine. We showed up and setup and didn't get any grief from anyone. Some employees were confused since we weren't on the event schedule and they hadn't been notified we were coming so they asked but were extremely friendly and asked if we needed help setting up anything. Our social event went well, but I would advise against planning events here. Every other brewery in town actually responds, and usually quite quick. read more

The environment is just a great place to hang out anytime of day, with anyone. They have a large outdoor area along with a decent sized indoor area so it is a great place all year long. While this is not my go-to brewery, I must admit, because of the raspberry beer, I find myself wanting to go to or purchase from Trim Tab more often...especially in the summer. Great pool or beach beer that doesn't taste like bud light! Throughout the year they have bands play and offer various food truck selections depending on the day. I'd never been to Trim Tab, but that all changed yesterday. I've had their canned Raspberry Berliner and I've driven by the location too many times to count, but I've just never been there. My friends and I went yesterday and I was impressed with all the parking. I also enjoyed all the seating and how roomie it was. Classy kinda atmosphere. I had a tough choice from the beers: Raspberry or Cranberry Spice. I went with the Cranberry since it was less sour. It was good. My friends and I sat outside on patio and drank our beers. Overall, I really enjoyed the beers and the atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. I might want to try some food a the food truck that was there. great place to go to after work. read more

Had a flight, couldn't tell you which ones but the few i tried were great. Lots of space to sit and chill. I went with coworker during the Alabama/LSU game so decent crowd.
