It's a nice local brewery. Have a open concept indoor space and nice patio/deck feel outdoor space. They have food provided on site from vendors and food trucks. Which are great as well. Have a standard set of beers on tap and have a seasonal and boutique/craft styles of short runs. Parking is easy. It's a nice change from the corporate feel craft breweries

This was my first time visiting Trim Tab Brewing. My reason for coming is to attend a wrestling event called Retinal Pro Wrestling. This is a nice place to come meet up with friends on a Friday night and socialize while also attending some of the events this brewery offers. I was there ahead of schedule so I just got myself a beer. One of the employee let me try a sample before I decided on the beer I liked. She was nice enough to do that because I'm not much of a beer drinker and I wasn't sure what to order. I do like the ambiance of the business that has a cool vibe and is open to everyone.

Finally made it to this spot thanks to Sloss Tech. Really cool venue with plenty of room to hang out, both inside and out. Loved the live music and all the beer options. If you're into sours, definitely try the Peach Ring Beer it's surprisingly good!

The vibe here sucks. The decor is bare and lame, and God forbid you show up when there aren't any food trucks. The decorations for Mardi Gras are kind of half-assed. Beer selection isn't my favorite either, but I could see how other people would like it. It's crazy to me that this place has been around so long. It looks like some hipster took his stuff out of his mom's basement to start a brewery like a month ago.

I showed up to Trim Tab right as they were closing. They let me in, gave me a beer, and gave me some great recommendations for other places to visit and things to do. And the beer was delicious! I didn't get a chance to go back the next day but if I'm ever back in Birmingham, Trim Tab will absolutely be a stop.

Great beer selection and seating in or outdoors. Casual spot with a lot of fun events for Bham residents! They have a limited food menu, but looked great on their Instagram page. Merch for sale inside. Dog friendly is always a plus. Spacious and great place to come with friends or alone for a beer and snacks. Can't wait to come back

If you are looking for happening place, Trim Tab is the place to be. Also, they have fun events. I visited today because of their Valentine's Flower Bar. I saw it advertised and had to go. I was able to pick my stems and make a bouquet The other day, we attended the Dark Side small batch brew event. It was great. A lot of friends joined us. Perfect event on a cold rainy afternoon!!

Trim tab is my probably favorite brewery in Birmingham! They always have rotating taps and small batch releases very often. The small batch releases are always very fun and unique beers and bring a good crowd for people to try them out because they are funky. They recently redid part of the outside and added coverage on the patio and it has made the area even better. I really like that they also hang local art for sale inside the brewery tasting room. Such a relaxed vibe and it is also dog and family friendly! They host a bunch of events as well as weekly trivia so there's always something going on, which is super fun! My two favorite beers are the paradise now and the cloud architecture.

Yum!! Ok first of all... they seriously do not even need my endorsement because they are freaking rocking it!! The 006 beer is delish and the vibe is so chill!! Dogs are welcome too!! We had something to nibble on from "Off Beat' Cafè. The Chicken Nachos were seriously the best I have ever had and I am not saying that cause I am 3 beers deep, they are delish!! Please, please give Trim Tab a try and see for yourself!!!

A brewery definitely worth visiting in Birmingham. Good service, great taproom and quality beers. Also loved their outdoor seating area. Great stop on my way through Alabama!

This local craft brewery has a lot of personality. It has a fantastic outdoor space that is great for hanging out with friends (and pups). The weather was not ideal on our visit. It was a Friday night and it was quite chilly. Trim Tab provides fire pits and fire wood to gather round, and nothing beats an open fire on a fall evening. The beer was great, and service was good. There was a short line that seem to move relatively fast. I'm finding the craft brewery scene in Birmingham is second to none, and Trim Tab is a must stop.

This place is always a good time! I have visited so many times for a casual night out, before Slicefest, and most recently for a cozy night by one of the many fire pits outside. The staff is always amazing and willing to answer any questions you have while letting you sample before you make your decision. Normally, I'm not a fan of sours but the Paradise Now is my favorite thing to get here. The atmosphere is very inviting and you are sure to make a friend or two while visiting.

Stopped in on a nice sunny day to check out Trim Tab. The outdoor seating is really nice and there are a lot of areas where you can setup a private event or a semi-private group event. The tasting room is huge and they have a food truck onsite. As for the beer, I wasn't a huge fan, but I also am very picky about beer. They didn't have anything mild enough for my palate, but I liked the ambience and we enjoyed sitting at the coveted tables outside.

Ask the Community - Trim Tab Brewing

What kind of food do they serve here?

The bar itself does not serve food, but they usually have rotating food trucks. The one that has been there the most often recently is Uncle G's Pizza. You can also bring your own food to eat there.

Is Trim Tab handicap/ wheelchair accessible?

Hey there! The answer to.your question is yes! Trim Tab is handicap accessible! The front entrance is paved and maybe easier to enter vs the back (where most park) because of the gravel however, there's plenty of room to maneuver within the venue.… Read more

People often host their own little parties and events at the picnic tables here. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a lot of families came for lunch and to hang out after church. The food here is certainly impressive food for a bar to me. I love the wood fired pizzas. I will say, I think the size is a bit awkward. They're a little too big to be a single serving, and a little too small to be for two people. The beer is all good. Service at the bar always friendly. The fries here are some of my favorite in town. Shoestring.

They've got a huge selection of beers and a full dinner menu, so there's something for just about everyone. Whether you're coming for drinks or planning to eat, you won't feel limited. Parking is plentiful, which is always a win in Birmingham, and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It works well for small groups or larger parties. One thing to know going in: this isn't really a full-service setup. You order and pick up your own food, and aside from someone occasionally clearing empty pint glasses, there's not much table service. We actually didn't receive utensils with our food and had to go back up to the counter to grab some. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. I ordered the catfish sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself was delicious -- crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. My only small gripe was that it came in a to-go box. I understand it probably makes cleanup easier for them, but it does take away a bit from the dine-in experience. The fries were shoestring style, which just aren't my personal favorite. They're fine, but I always feel like I need about three handfuls to feel satisfied. We went on a Saturday night and the brewery was packed -- and I mean packed. It was very loud and definitely more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing dinner vibe. If you're looking for a quiet night out, this probably isn't it. But if you want energy, beer, sports on TV, and a fun crowd, this place delivers. Overall, it's a great hangout spot to catch a game, grab a drink, and enjoy good food -- just expect a lively, high-energy scene.

But we'd spent the day at McWane Center and we were starving so we were there to EAT! The food looked gorgeous but it tasted very meh. The onion rings had too much breading on them, which I didn't think was possible, but here we are. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same. I got The Standard and the bun of the burger was a little mushy (similar to Whataburger) and there was not much meat. For an $11 burger, I'm expecting more than a Whataburger. My middle kid likes everything on her burger and isn't picky at all and the loaded kid burger looked impressive but it was about the same as mine. Not awful, but not very good either. Very close to the same amount of meat. She's the queen of the Clean Plate Club and she only ate half. The fries were good but a somewhat too salty, the dip that came with the onion rings was excellent and we ended up using it for the fries. We had 2 adults and 3 kids and our meal was $63 before tip for 5 waters, 2 adult burgers, 2 kid burgers, a kid grilled cheese, and a basket of fries and onion rings (I thought I was ordering a "side" of fries, not realizing I actually ordered a basket and it was a lot of fries and onion rings). We don't mind spending money on good food, but the prices here don't align with what you get. No one was more disappointed than me, I've been wanting to eat here for FOREVER!!!
