After a timing chain misdiagnosis from another garage--and an insane repair estimate of over $6,000 for timing chain, plugs, and ignition coils--I started calling around and one place recommended a specific mechanic at Christian Brothers who specializes in Infiniti vehicles. I had it towed here, and the mechanic correctly diagnosed the issue as a failed ignition coil--not a timing chain. That correct diagnosis saved me literally thousands. While Christian Brothers Auto. was my "hero" in this instance, it was definitely a "high-cost hero." This place is wildly expensive and arguably overpriced compared to most independent shops. It is my understanding most garages mark parts up about 100% over retail (e.g., a $16 spark plug bills for $32). Everything here was well over 100%, in some cases closer to 400% (e.g., charge $425 for a $115 Hitachi ignition coil, spark plugs over $50 each). I asked for an adjustment on the pricing, and they refused. Also, while many garages will give credit for a diagnostic fee (already higher than most at $199) toward the cost of repairs, Christian Brothers will not. In summary, while I was ecstatic about their correct diagnosis, I was less than enthused about their gold-plated pricing for the work they performed. I strongly recommend Christian Brothers if you have a hard-to-identify issue (at least on an Infiniti), but I would avoid for most routine maintenance, as they are far too expensive.

I went in yesterday for a very specific coolant (Zerex Original Green 50/50) and the technician assured me he could get that specific one for me. He comes back with a yellow coolant, and I leave because I don't realize that coolant comes in different colors, and I also trusted that he knew what he was talking about. Thankfully, before I used it in a very expensive machine that the manufacturer requires that very specific coolant for, I realized that the coolant did not match the one that I needed. So I go back and talk to the same the same technician, and he looks at me, looks again at the picture of the EXACT coolant I am SPECIFICALLY telling him I need, and tells me that the coolant he gave me is that exact one, and it's yellow because it's prediluted?? Thats crazy, because I ordered it online afterwards, and as seen in the picture included in this review, despite the coolant being prediluted (as it should be and is labeled as), it still manages to be a very vibrant green. The audacity of this guy to look at yellow and try to convince me it's green. And he could have caused potentially thousands of dollars of damage to critical machinery if I had listened to him.

He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. Andy was ready for me upon arrival, and the service was impeccable. He explained everything and provided the best customer service. The oil change went great, and included a multi point inspection with photos and recommendations for repairs. However, they do not try to push you on these at all. Every time I get an oil change, the technicians tell me that I need my air filter replaced, to which I decline. Not only did Atlantic check my air filter, but they took a photo and honestly told me that it did not need to be replaced. The price is right in line with other companies, with double the service! I also requested that he demonstrate the streaks he's talking about or show damage to the wiper blades. He said he doesn't make the rules, and my only options were either to get new wiper blades at $30/piece to pass inspection or to leave without passing inspection, but I would have to pay a $20 failed inspection fee. I felt that this manager at this location used my need for inspection and used the only excuse he could find - in this case, windshield wipers - as an upselling tactic or scam to upcharge services.
