We arrived 20 minutes late but she was so professional - she shortened and made the check in process so easy. There was a cabin with fire where you can change since Deer Mountain was quite cold and was snowing that day desolate the snow drought. She was mega attentive and taught us everything and told us exactly where we were going. She took couple of pictures for us and explained what we'll see had it not been so foggy. On the way back when we stopped at a viewpoint my boyfriend accidentally accelerated and we toppled right where the cliff started - Michele rushed over and helped us up and we genuinely concerned for our well being. We're so grateful she was our guide and can't recommend her enough. She's an amazing person with a beautiful smile and we definitely suggest everyone go snowmobile with her, especially first timers!

My 13 family members had a great time. The crew at HH are very good people and very helpful. The natural waterslide and tubing was a highlight of the trip (according to the kids). Wear good water shoes if you visit the waterslide as you have to hike a bit to get there. I have rented houseboats at other marinas on Shata before. Holiday Harbor had more flexible rental schedule (any day out and any day in) than other marinas. The orientation was excellent, office & dock people were great. We brought a propane firepit for s'mores on the shore each night, we brought folding chairs to have on the shore for quiet time with a book and the firepit. The lake was down 53' which for Shasta is nothing as it is so big and deep. It is actually better (IMHO) to have the lake down a bit so you can park the boat on land and use other boats (that use less fuel) for traveling the lake. The family wants to go back soon and that is the best recommendation.

First, they wouldn't sell me a $5 parking pass unless I knew someone who rented a boat, so luckily the last name I used "Hanson" worked. They asked "Scott Hanson?" and I'm like, yeah, sure. Second, parking was full (as one might expect on the Saturday before Memorial Day at 4pm), so we had to park in an overflow lot. This meant getting an escort to the lot and a shuttle back to the harbor AND it meant having to estimate a specific time to come back, which is hard when you're depending on a bunch of party boat people for the ride back (I'm looking at you, Scott Hanson. Still, though I had to go through some hassles, the three guys who helped us, including Joe and Hamilton (who are just Frank and Reynolds shy a yacht rock band) were super friendly and helpful.

This review is specifically regarding their boat rental service, customer service, and the…read morecondition of the pontoon boat. Booking the pontoon was easy and straightforward through their website, with no issues at all. When we arrived, we checked in at the front desk. The boat driver and all passengers are required to use iPads to initial and sign a waiver before getting on the boat. The check-in process was very simple and took about 10 minutes. The employee who helped us was friendly and nice. Once we completed the paperwork, the employee gave us a boat assignment tag, parking pass and directed us to pick up our rental. We headed down to the docks, where we were assigned our pontoon. We then took the boat over to the launch area, loaded all of our gear, and headed out for the day. The pontoon itself was definitely showing its age. It wasn't particularly clean and had cobwebs throughout the boat. It had a hardtop canopy that provided plenty of shade, and while the seats were in decent shape with no holes or tears, they were noticeably dirty. I understand that these are rental boats and they naturally experience a lot of wear and tear, so I wasn't expecting a brand-new boat. However, I do think the overall cleanliness could be improved. That said, the boat was functional and got us where we needed to go without any issues. We found a nice cove, anchored up, and enjoyed the day on the lake. At the end of the day, we returned to the dock, unloaded our gear, and handed the boat back to an employee. The return process was just as easy as the check-in. Once the boat was returned, there was no need to go back into the office or complete any additional paperwork. Overall, despite some of the cleanliness and condition issues with the pontoon, we had a good experience. The booking, check-in, and return processes were all very easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely consider renting a boat from here again, although I would hope to see some improvements in the cleanliness and upkeep of the boats.

We pulled in on absolute fumes to Bridge Bay at 6:05pm, and were greeted by a very kind young man who let us know unfortunately that they were closed. I begged for a miracle- single lady on a lake with a bunch of kids, and he took me to see his manager to plead my case. I even offered them $100 cash for any gas they might have... manager said no. "Nope, I don't have the codes." No idea what that means... just know he refused to help me. I realize that this was my mistake- but honestly, a gas station should have a way to help people in emergencies. I'd leave a one star review- but the young man was so kind and polite, he was really trying to help, despite his manager. It was a lesson learned about gas, closing times, and I have a new awareness about the lake community- you are really on your own out there.

I believe we paid $30 for both kayaks. So inexpensive. We weren't camping far, and we wanted to get on the water before it got too hot. We've been dealing with 100 degree days (in late July), so it was best to be done by 10. We got on the water at 8 am, and paddled towards Lewiston. It was such a beautiful morning. The lake was just stocked with trout, so we saw lots of trout jumping! The lake has a 10 mph speed limit, so it was very quiet. We saw a couple of boats and one other pair of kayakers. It was a weekday, so there weren't too many people. After getting off the water, we bought a couple of ice cream drumsticks from their little store. They also have chips and other snacks, but the ice cream really hit the spot. We managed to sit under one of their heritage Apple trees and saw more fish jumping. Their dog was so excited that the fish was jumping. Lol They do have a restroom but it's a Porta Potty. It's not bad though. We overheard the owner say on the phone that she was closing the Marina soon as she has to go back to teaching. So glad she was still around when we were there!
