My friend and I were up to Seattle for a weekend getaway and ventured into Trinity Thursday night. We were definitely overdressed for the beer pong event but the music was still live and there were quite a few people. The reason I am writing this review is because I was dumbfounded at the amazing customer service from the two male bartenders. The tall handsome one didn't make me feel awkward that I was drinking water for the first half an hour and the shorter sexy one made me a margarita and as I was walking off asked me to try it and see how it was. That is unheard of in a club environment. Not only that but it was one of the best margaritas I've had in a long time and I am a bartender of 25 years. They were extremely attentive and super kind. Big energy here. They recently renovated the place ambitiously and turned up the noise! Best bar service, confident and professional security, clean bathrooms, and great DJ's. Parking across the street! This place has consistently a much more diverse crowd than some of the smaller clubs in Seattle. When Trinity first opened, it brought some much needed house music to Seattle in a half-way decent setting. Now after returning to Seattle after 2 years, the music, crowd, and scene have all changed. I guess all clubs go through some sort of evolution, but it is sad to see Trinity stray so far. The idea is more or less the same - three rooms with three different DJs and music. But instead of house and lounge music, you're more likely to hear main stream music or hip hop (think kiss 106.1 DJs). Thursday has some decent house music as USC has the night. But sadly, the weekends are slowly becoming more like the other clubs in Pioneer Square. read more

This place was one of the highlights of our visit to Seattle. Wonderful bartenders, great DJs, excellent decor, and three different styles of music on each of the dance floors. That really helped us out since we rarely like everything any particular DJ is spinning. We arrived very early as they opened and had a few drinks while socializing with the bartenders and DJs. It was very pleasant but dead for a while. We walked outside, found an 80's night elsewhere, then returned when the club was busier. We floated between the floors and danced for hours. This place is awful! I was there once awhile ago and didn't like it then, but I decided to give it another try. I went on a Friday night when cover was only $10 and KISS FM was there. The place is REALLY dark and they overdo the strobe light thing. I couldn't even see my friend standing next to me. This also means that I could barely see anyone who was trying to dance with me. The music was good in the beginning but towards the end of the night, it got kind of weird. The mixture of people was odd; I didn't know what to make of it. I can't believe this place gets good reviews. First things first, the cover is ridiculous for what you get. It is just one hot, drunken, sloppy mess in there. Last time this girl got into a verbal altercation with me for elbowing her...accidentally! My bf of the moment waited for her to punch me in the shoulder to get the bouncer to send her and her friends packing. Next, the music blows...it starts off with Top 40 on the weekends, only to end with weak ass techno. The whole multi-floor thing is a joke as well. Trinity was friggin' awesome...about 2 years ago. In the last year, it's really gone downhill. On a Typical Saturday night, expect to wait in line over an hour and pay a $20 cover. What are you paying for? Well, I'm not exactly sure. The layout is cool and neat that it has 3 rooms each with a different vibe, unfortunately this causes major congestion in the hallways between them, and after standing still for more than 20 seconds you'll likely be told by a bouncer to "move along". The DJs are good, but not great. The house music in the main room works, but the Blue room is notorious for having stuff that's just not danceable. Speaking of the main room, it's...well...just weird. Against the walls, you'll see rows of young men who don't speak English all that well oggling bimbos from Marysville as they slam shots and pretend they can dance. Drinks are overpriced, weak, and served in plastic cups. Despite that, way too many people (girls especially) seem to have no problem going way over their limit. When this place starts to empty out at 1:30, the scene outside is not pretty. Of course, you can get around all this by getting in the VIP, which happens from one of 3 things: 1) You have $300 to blow for a fun night out. 2) You are an extremely attractive and/or slutty woman in her early 20s 3) You have a hook-up with one of the staff members. This place is a S.H.I.T.S.H.O.W. and not in a good way either. Every time we've come here, which has been with a few different groups over the years, the girls in our group either get creeped out or pissed off when they keep getting groped. For crying out loud, if you're going to be shady, just look, don't touch. I'll say that rarely, when the place isn't yet packed, the different ambiance and decor between rooms is nice, as are the bartenders, who actually know their way around a bottle. Unfortunately, when people start arriving, which is the whole point of going to a place like this, it gets ugly. Came here with my friends on a Thursday night. I guess it's a little different because it wasn't what we anticipated Trinity to be like. Walking in, is a small room with a full bar and some stools across the wall. There is a DJ playing music who is located at the top in this box. Next, there are two dance rooms. The red room-that was playing techno/house, and the blue room-that was playing even heavy techno. I don't mind the music...but I wish they could have one of the rooms be current smash hits! Not the best day of the week to come. When this place opened, I shouted to the heavens and praised the lord... (not really but you get the picture). Nice 3-room club, plenty of space to pack in the crowd. They bring in good DJs once in a while. Very friendly and professional staff (at first). Now that they've been open for a year and their egos rushing through their veins... they are not so friendly any more. I don't get it. Why do nice clubs have to go downhill like this? I have no complaints about the high priced drinks, common think about it... Its a club "in Seattle", not a bar a club, do you expect it to be cheap? Yes, it does suck when it's overcrowded & I unfortunately, I don't think it's going to get any less crowded meaning... Went a couple months ago with a group of friends. This girl asked me if I could go upstairs to the 21+ area to look for her friend since she wasn't 21. I agreed and tried walking up the stairs since I was 21+ and the security guy didn't let me go up stairs? Even though there was maybe only 4 people upstairs. I go here to escape the hum-drum bar scenes of Seatte into a Vegas-like atmosphere.....Trinity is definitely one of the best nightclubs in this city. It's huge...... like 3 venues under the same roof.... 3 different rooms featuring individual DJ's, 2 levels to roam, plus a V.I.P. section to reserve a private section with some friends and chill on the comfortable sofas after shakin' that ass on the dance floor below :). I think the vibe is friendly, everyone just seems to be having fun and letting go after a long week on the job. Good-looking crowd, awesome DJ's, potent drinks between $6-9. AND......it's not just some local pub so expect to share your "personal space" on a packed dance floor, wait a couple minutes for a cocktail, and yes there is usually a line at the door......that's the breaks of going to a high energy, popular club!! The staff is cool. The bouncers' job is protecting you, me, and the integrity of the club so give 'em a break.....remember they aren't there for a popularity contest! And, give some respect to the "high-volume" bartenders.....meaning, they make hundreds of drinks a night FAST. Maybe they don't sugarcoat your vist to the bar but you get a good drink in a timely manner. The club is clean, safe and provides all the elements for a hell of a night!!! read more

Trinity was the first club to which I'd ever gone dancing, and I couldn't stop smiling. Now that I've been to others, local and international, I can say that it's a good, but not a great place to party down. Probs a 3.8. Two very different dance floors, cool architecture (classical&modern), bodies crammed about as you'd expect. "$1 shot Thursdays!" were disappointing. Vodka and Water? Is that what this is? I'm atypical as I don't go out to drink or get hammered, but dancing here's a ball especially with a large group. I've never paid cover, always entering before 10, and dancing on the blue floor to techno and R&B, or to the top 40 in the main (red) room gives me extremely social exercise. While not a dive, Trinity does feel sort of dank and underworld, and so perfect for a night out. read more

The drinks were wayyy watered downed for what you pay and the people that go there are very sleazy and not the type of people I would want behind me while I dance. I visited here on my stay while in Vancouver,WA from school and I would recommend no one to go here if your from out of town because their customer service SUCKS and they are only worried about collecting the 18+ door cover they don't care about those who are of age to spend money at the bar sections in the club were EMPTY and so were the bars don't waste your time or money to party with kids THE NICEST PEOPLE at the club was the young lady at coat check and the door girl. This place is Seattle's best spot to hang, dance, and look great. The cover is moderately priced (compared to other top tier clubs around the country) and keeps out the posers and trouble makers you find in places that don't charge cover and serve .50 wells. For sure, this is an adult nightclub. It's priced for adults and you get treated like one as soon as you step in. But that doesn't mean you can't play! Three rooms, each decorated differently and playing 3 different types of music, make this THE SPOT to take large groups who have different interests because it has something for everyone. These three rooms are connected by hallways on both floors which makes the place look like a big maze. Perfect for getting lost with someone or constantly changing your point of view. The music in each room is top notch on the weekends. Almost all of the clubs regular DJ's play out of state at other big clubs so you know you are in good hands on the dance floor. What can I say about the drinks? They get me drunk. The bouncers play their role great. They quickly assess people correctly and treat them accordingly. They give the club just the right vibe - all dance, no drama. I give this place 4 outta 5 stars for the attitude, the decor, and especially the music. The DJ in the techno room on saturdays is worth the trip alone! When you've grown tired of bars that fill your night with fist fights & vomit in your hair. Maybe it's time to hit up Trinity, the one place in twn that gives you what you pay for. read more

Went to 18+ section and there were lots of creepy older guys there looking to grind on younger girls. The hip hop room was very small and was lined with guys looking for girls to grind on so we stayed more in the edm room which was not much better. The website said for 18+ before 11:00 pm it was $10 entry but when we got there at 10:30 it was $17. If you're a girl, plan on going with a group because pioneer square can be sketchy at night and the club itself feels a little creepy. read more

Place is not so bad, music OK and yes its a meat market, but for a birthday party one can bear it. Problem is that is absolutely disorganized and the bouncers are perfect morons. I was invited to a private event and probably I needed to have a specific stamp for that, however they gave me and my friend the regular one by mistake, even if we were in VIP list. We were let upstairs, but once we went to the toilets we were not allowed to go back to the VIP section (where I had my purse and my coat) because the stamp was wrong. I tried to tell the bouncer that I was in list and that my money/keys/coat/cell phone were upstairs, that I needed to get them, but this ignorant human being wouldn't hear it and started treating me like i was some un-welcomed person. So i as soon as someone else went up I sneaked in with the only purpose to get my stuff and leave (sorry to the b-day guy, next pick a better place! lol!!). The bouncer must have freaked out because he sent behind me other 2 bouncers! REALLY? I am a woman and I am petite and this moron needed to do that? REALLY? I have to say that the black bouncer was nice and decent, but the white one must have issues with women, because he started telling me not to touch him and enjoy my evening, I tried to explain to him what happened, I was probably bending toward him because of the noise and I wanted to be sure he heard me, but all the white coward could repeat was: don't touch me. So I told him he was a coward to treat a client like that, especially because the misunderstanding was their fault. They did not accept anyone from Louisiana because the bouncers don't know the difference between a federal ID and and regular ID. So even if your 21 and up if your using a drivers license from Louisiana you cannot get in. I was very offended by the bouncers method of dealing with this as well. Now, I'm definitely not the biggest club go-er. In fact, I'm twenty two and I just recently went to Trinity for the first time, and it was my first club I've ever been to (unless you count clubs in Scotland, which was an accident, and 13 year olds can get in there!) and I'll have to say that it was a good first time experience for me. Three different bars, two dance floors, cool lighting and a lot of fun people. The first part of the night I was here the main dance floor wasn't opening until 11, which was lame. So we were in the blue room, I think its referred to as the techno room? I don't know exactly, but anyways, dancing my butt off with all my friends was a blast. Good amount of people, and then once the main dance floor was open it was OVER. I was out there all night shakin' my thang :) drinks are strong and reasonably priced. I had a blast, and now that I've gone, I'm sure I'll go again. If you want to have fun and dance all night, this place is great to go to! read more

Waited in line in the rain for 30 minutes to be kicked out before we got in for NO REASON. The security guard told us we had to leave because someone underage was "drunk" when we had nothing to drink and were all just standing in line with our umbrella. Ridiculous experience and a waste of money for parking. I will never go to this club again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they fire all of their security guards and hire ones with actual experience. read more

Didn't get a chance to fully experience this club after waiting in line for 30 minutes for their "free before 11" advertisement. Got in line 10:20, it wasn't that long, figured we'd definitely get in before 11. As we got slightly closer to the door about 10 minutes before 11 they decided to change entrances. Made it pretty clear that they were trying their best to make everyone in line pay cover. I didn't freeze my butt off to pay $15 cover for a club I haven't tried, and now never will. I was waiting on a friend and the guy at the entrance said that I had till 2:10 to get back when I asked him if I could come back in. I came back and he said no. If you're gonna tell Someone something, make sure you tell them the right thing before you make them wait in the cold for 20 minutes.
