Not a bad place for dancing and some entertainment! My friends and I came here for our last stop while out in Pioneer Square and had a fun time at Stage Seattle. Stage Seattle is huge! The space is kind of a maze once you enter. The dance floor is a decent size, with lots of booths for the best seats. In fact, the DJ even got off his stage to start walking along the high beams of the booths and was interacting with everyone. It was a fun vibe. It took forever to get drinks though. We decided to not stay very long due to how crowded it was and with such a long line to get drinks on a Saturday night, close to midnight. This place was not good. The service was unprofessional from start to finish. Unhappy staff makes for a hostile vibe. You go to the club to dance and have drinks and the drinks are way overpriced and the song selection by the DJ needs work. $15 a shot? What? We heard "Ay bay bay" by Hurricane Chris twice. Lol I like the song but even in 2007 that song didn't get played twice at a club. Also Dreams and nightmares by Meek Mill is not a club song. You put those into a mix but there was not much mixing going on. We got 2 booths and 2 bottles and our server pulled a fast one on us. She acted like she poured out all of the alcohol from the bottle and took the bottle with about 1/5 of the liquid still inside. After that she ghosted us. Stage is a HUGE improvement over Volume! The updated sound/lighting and the awesome viewpoints from the VIP booths make Stage my favorite club venue to see a live performance. The bartenders could be more efficient, but the women's bathroom is usually clean (and I haven't seen any ridiculous lines yet). The photo booth is in a high-traffic area, which doesn't make sense to me - it's really frustrating when drunk people walk through your group photo... over and over again. After attending the Petey Pablo show and the Tinashe after party at Stage, I think booths are worth every penny on special guest nights. In addition to the spacious booth areas and excellent/attentive service, you also get to be front-and-center for the performances. I've been pretty happy about their special guests recently, and will definitely be back for the next good one. Fingers crossed for Ashanti and/or Ja Rule! For regular nights, the free guest list is your best bet; the security team seems pretty good at keeping the lines moving. read more

STAGE is one of the newer nightclubs in Seattle, which is located in Pioneer Square (It was formally The Catwalk & Volume for all you old school club heads!). I don't go out as much nowadays but recently attended to see Petey Pablo perform. It was such a fun show! STAGE has the perfect setup where there are several booths facing the stage. I highly recommend reserving a booth just so you can get comfy with your friends, watch the show and dance around. I also like how PP moved around the area during his performance too. The icing on the cake was that white tees were provided in the booths to spin over your head for his song "Raise Up". Also, if you hate paying cover, sign up for the guest list and get in before 11 pm. I had no issues getting through the line that night. It was a smooth process if anything. I'll definitely be back for another show, just not for a regular club night. :) read more

Rated two stars because of the overpriced drinks and experience. I was told at the door that I'd have to throw away my pepper spray because they don't let it in/have a place to store belongings. As a woman in a large city, this is just not safe. I was obviously upset and was contemplating going to a different bar when I was chastised by an employee. She went out of her way to try to make feel bad about wanting to protect myself. I understand their reasons for not wanting it inside- but it's not practical to ask women to give up their means of protection all together. I would have preferred storing it somewhere and getting it when I left the club. read more

The majority of the 5 star reviews are due to a management promotion where if you show the bartender that you gave them a high rating, they give you a drink special. I went for a goth night and was shocked to see drinks were $15! AND they measure the shots given. This ain't Vegas! The bartender also seemed to have an attitude. She wasn't wearing her mask for 80% of the evening and would pull it down to talk to customers. The line takes forever and it's mostly due to strict security measures because of the neighborhood, the clientele, and that there is only ONE person wanding people at a time. The decor is really shabby and run down. I would not sit on any of the couches *shudders*. Lesson learned, stay away. read more

This is my old stomping grounds when it was called heavens, but it had a bad name, but I must say the night life is the same, but the guts of this place is ohhh sooo cool now. With the bathrooms in the same location the DJ booth is different and the VIP tables and sections are pretty dope now, great face lift for the club! What I can say is Seattle is NOT always poppin, I'd advise going on a Saturday, it's a little more live this day! Please keep in mind Seattle and this place is hit or miss spot, but fun when it is good! If you want to dance and have fun I'd advise coming here and hangin out! I was excited that there was going to be a new club opening in Seattle because well...everywhere else gets old after a while. I wasn't too fond of the location being in sketchy Pioneer Square, but that's nobody's fault. I went to their grand opening last Saturday and props for doing a great job to be able to promote this many heads coming out, there was already a long line as soon as doors were open. It was somewhat complicated because there were a bunch of different lines and a good amount of people in each; there was the VIP line, guest list line, & general admission line. We were on the guest list, but thought there was no way we were going to get in before the cut off time for free cover so we just went to general admission line to pay instead. We were one of the first in that line, but it still took a minute to get in. I'm not exactly sure how the system works, who gets first priority in, but it was rather confusing because all 3 lines just kind of blend in one big clump. My conclusion of why nothing was moving was that the club photographer is running late and they needed a picture for their website to make it seem like there's a hype. Hahaha. The old venue that was here before Stage took over was Volume, I was curious at how much of an upgrade was done to this place because I'm not the biggest fan of Volume. There's little improvements done here and there, the demographic is definitely a bit more civilized, but in my opinion the only major change was that the name of the venue changed. I had a decent night, will look forward to what this new place offers in the future. read more

I am overall impressed with my experiences at stage. Security is friendly, professional, and always keep the line moving which is great when its winter time and cold/rainy out! The sound system is top notch and I like that they try to emulate vegas and keep it classy! The music selection is pretty good, I like the second room better than the main room after midnight. I am not a fan of edm, and they seem to blend their hip hop into EDM which I don't love in the main room. The bartenders could be a little more friendly, I have had them actually charge me for a pineapple back when I bought a shot. One star is removed for that experience. I am hoping to have bottle service experience in the near future for my birthday. If that happens, I will be sure to update my review with that experience! Overall, its one of the few clubs I will go out to and I prefer it over Aston Manor. read more

This place blows. Worst club ive been to in the Seattle area by far. Now lets get to the details. 1. Upon arriving, they have an extremely strict dress code. Now this isnt that big of a deal until you realize when you get in that it is DEAD on the weekend. So why such a strict dress code? Lighten up if its not busy! I personally have no issue with their code myself, but i know many that do and simply wont go. 2. They charge 15 to get in, even when its dead. Not a smart business move imo. If its not busy, dont charge much or anything at all! Sell drinks instead! 3. FILTHY club. Its just dirty dingy and disgusting. 4. They have no selection of drinks........ and what they do have is astronomically overpriced. I think this club believes they are something they truly are not. 10-15 bucks for a cocktail of low quality. Its embarrassing. 5. Their main room production is hilarious, as they have the laser beams shooting all night. They look cool, but its supposed to add to the music, not be a centerpiece. haha. Clubs should feel like a liberating experience that is not a hassle. This place feels forced for lack of a better term, and its obvious they think they are a lot higher class than they really are. This is simply a DIVE CLUB people, and you'll find out quickly once you're in. Get in, take your money, and offer really nothing. Now, lets give them just a bit of slack here..... There are a few positives. 1. Their security has always been friendly and professional. Ive not had an issue with them. 2. The side room occasionally has some amazing gems within house music on the weekend. Sometimes the best djs and artists are found in these spaces, and Ive watched it here before. Was in town from the Bay Area for my cousin's Bachelorette. Out of all the clubs and promoters I reached out to, Tyrone was very prompt with responding and had great customer service in ensuring that our choice in their club was the best one. We had bottle service right near the DJ booth. All the girls came in around 11:30pm and was a little thrown off because there wasn't anyone in the club. I asked the bottle service girl if this was typical and she said people don't start showing up until 12am. So I proceeeded to order our 2 bottle of choice. It actually worked out the club was empty at that time because we all got to take our cute bachelorette photos without anyone in the background! We were all in neon and got the cutest photos! Just as she said, 12am approached and the club filled up. My cousin had "the best time" and we could all tell by the expression on her face that she was "living her best loife!" The owners, to the workers, to the hype man, to the music, to Tyrone the Manager... it was LITTTT and everyone was really nice. Thank you Tyrone and club stage for accomodating our large party and providing us with an experience we all will remember and will talk about for years read more

This was by far the most ratchet place I've been to in Seattle. The one positive thing I can say is that the security lady up front was very nice and we had a laugh with her. Here's a list: 1. Filthy. Probably wouldn't notice once you're trashed but this place is grimy. All the white trim has black on it and the surfaces all seem to have crud on them before the club is even busy. 2. Insanely expensive. 4 Jameson shots, 4 coors - $75. Even if the Jameson was $10/shot, that's $8.75 per beer. For coors light. So either the Jameson was much more expensive or the beer was. Either way this place needs to check themselves because they don't have the ambiance to pull off those prices. 3. Dance floor is tiny and has "VIP" surrounding it in a half circle. Why? I guess it is easier to make it look packed in pictures but I'd guess at least once a month someone falls into VIP tripping on these ankle height ropes while they dance on the micro dance floor. Soooo classy. I know that's what I look for when I get bottle service, people falling into my table. 4. The DJ on Saturday July 8 was wack. "Let me show you how good my taste in music is by playing some obscure stuff you've probably never heard of" Thanks buddy, but no thanks. Maybe nobody had told him that there was a 90s themed bar crawl that their club was a part of, but people had just come from a much nicer club playing lil john & such to here where the most danceable song in 15 mins was lauryn hill. However no one knew which line was as we reached the front, Security decides to let these HUGE parties in before us!! For my friend's going away party he decided to celebrate at the grand opening of Stage! We were all pretty excited to see how they remodeled the old Volume venue. My friend was able to get all 10 of us in the VIP list so we would be able to get in free before 11pm. So we showed up at 9pm thinking that was plenty of time to get in, think again!!! We seriously had only 20-30 people in front of us in line at 9 and still didn't get in before 11. They totally neglected the VIP line, the general admission line was zooming by. The whole point wasn't just getting in free, we just wanted to get inside to celebrate and have a good time. If we would have known that we would have been happy to just pay and get in sooner and enjoy the night. Stage left a sour note in my mouth! Will not be coming back. read more

I was standing on some stairs because the venue is cramped and I didn't know I wasn't supposed to be standing there.... a nearby bouncer walked up and screamed "MOVE" in my face. There was a lot of hype over the grand opening of stage and it was very "meh". Like another guest mentioned, we were also on the guest-list that wasn't moving in the slightest so we hopped into the GA line and ended up paying to get it. One thing that I found annoying was the lack of places to sit that were NOT Vip booths. The first thing that came to mind was the new owner was definitely trying to maximize their profit because they crammed I don't even know how many little booths throughout the venue. The one place to sit that wasn't a booth was a chair next to the bathrooms... Awesome. The demographic is definitely different than Volume though, more diverse for sure. The sound system and lights were cool but not cool enough to keep us there for long. We ended up leaving pretty shortly and in all honesty I probably won't be back unless a friend is djing that night or theres a birthday I feel obligated to go to. read more

Bartender wouldn't even shake up shots on Saturday night, said it was too busy for her to have time for that and she could pour something hot if we wanted a shot. If you aren't fast enough to be able to shake shots you are in the wrong industry, you have to be able to be fast paced in a nightclub setting.
