You gotta try deep dish a this restaurant did not disappoint. The man at the desk took our order and was very helpful with explaining us on size and what we were looking for! Very cute shops to walk up and down the street while we waited for our pizza that was being made! Even love watching the train go by while we sat there eating! Thank you so much for making my first time a great experience in knocking it out of the park with a delicious pizza ! My husband and I did think it was very funny when my daughter asked why the sauce was on the top lol

OK this place is a real gem - it has very courteous employees and wonderful deep dish pizza…read more My spouse and I split the small 10-inch cheese deep dish and their primavera salad with red French dressing (which is basically a Catalina style dressing). The small size pizza was cut into 6 slices so it's just about perfect for two adults. It was so savory it was literally hard to stop eating it! The sauce, although basic, had a nice tang to it and it really was perfectly matched to the ample cheese. The crust was cooked to perfection and I was glad to see it was a flour-based crust, not cornmeal. All in all, a surprisingly great experience in a nice casual setting (and very close in many ways to Nancy's Pizza on Broadway in the city).

Great flavor, perfectly balanced toppings, and definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the wings. I'd probably skip those next time. The sauce was just okay, and the wings themselves weren't as crispy as you'd expect. They tasted more like frozen wings than fresh. If that doesn't bother you, you might be fine -- but they didn't stand out. Our waiter was attentive, and the overall vibe is classic Quonset -- the smell of pizza in the air, cold beer, and friendly staff. Solid spot for pizza, just maybe not the wings.

I live near here and get a small cheese to go several times a month…read more I may not be there at peak times but for me it's always better to walk in and order and wait for it than to call ahead. Never timed it but it doesn't ever seem like a long wait and the product is a landmark of consistency. 12", $13.50 now. $4.50-$5.50 in the late 1970's. I've lived around here in stretches now and again for 50+ years and this place is always the same as it was when I was in high school. For a small, independent bar-pizza joint, that's really impressive. But this place deserves some kind of a plaque. The small cheese pizza these folks put out today is photo-level consistent with what they put out in 1970. Ordinarily I would accept that I may have a little wishful brain fog about the crust and the sauce and the cheese being identical but that's also what I see when I look at comments. So, I may pick one up this afternoon. What's described as the cracker style crust holds up pretty well but it's still best all-around when eaten in the store. Haven't eaten one while sitting at the bar right after it came out of the oven in a long time but if I order it when I get there, 1 diet Pepsi later I'm walking out the door. That's pretty close.

When you think of wings at most bars, you expect something decent, maybe a little too breaded,…read moremaybe drowning in sauce, good enough with a drink but nothing unforgettable. Glen Flora is not that. These wings genuinely outclass the usual bar standard, and they do it without trying too hard. The first thing that stands out is the crisp. Not a thick, heavy crust, just a light coating that gives you that clean crunch when you bite in. A lot of places overdo it and hide the chicken under batter. Here, the texture actually works with the meat instead of covering it up. And once you get past that crisp exterior, the chicken is seriously juicy. Tender, flavorful, and cooked the way wings are supposed to be. The hot BBQ sauce tastes exactly how good barbecue should: smoky, a little sweet, familiar in the best way. But the heat is what makes it special. It doesn't overpower. It lifts everything. The spice sharpens the sweetness and makes the smokiness pop a little more. It feels balanced, like someone actually thought about the flavor What surprised me most? I was there with a few friends, and normally that's all laughs and conversation. But once those wings hit the table, I caught myself zoning out, focused on what was in front of me. I was in my own little world. And at $1 per wing, it almost feels unfair. I ordered 15... and honestly? I should've ordered more. These aren't just "good for bar wings." They're just good. Crisp, juicy, balanced, and way better than you expect walking in. Rating: 8.7/10

For sure it's nothing fancy. There's pretty slow ass service but there's also fun times. Bar had a few people in it but we found seats and got menus. It's got about what you expect with okay prices. There's nothing to eat really that good but it's not bad though. Bar has TVs so usually it's okay watching games awhile. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The usual stuff like Jameson. It's about $8 for an appetizer. The Pretzel Bites were simple yet still took a long time. Basic things with cheese or mustard. They were slow again getting our bill so it was even more of a wait. Finally they brought it and we could leave. There weren't even many customers in there. Imagine what it's like when it's busy. This isn't the place to go if in a hurry. Has a pretty nondescript location by some auto garages. It's got a pretty basic menu with greasy things including pizza. This is located at the intersection of Glen Flora Avenue and Walnut.

We ordered the Margherita pan pizza and the thin mac and cheese bacon pizza. The Margherita was my favorite. I thought I had ordered it thin crust, but it came as pan instead. The crust was a bit thick, but honestly one slice was very filling. For two people, it felt like a lot of bread -- but the toppings were really good and everything tasted fresh. You could tell the ingredients were high quality. The mac and cheese bacon pizza was good too, but you definitely have to like both mac and cheese and bacon to fully enjoy it. I personally liked it better without the bacon, but it's still a must-try if you're into unique pizza combinations. Overall, solid first takeout experience and I'd definitely order again.

I kept the order simple and went with a pepperoni deep dish. It was great! Sauce had good flavor and wasn't overly spicy, while the crust had just the right amount of crunch with a buttery flavor.
