I love Trio Salon ! I live in the neighborhood and am off most Fridays.. I randomly went in one day years ago and have been no place else ever since. The ladies are all lovely, pleasant and engaged. Most always remember my name and ask about my family. I have always had good service. Sometimes it is busy but you can always make an appointment if you want to keep a tight schedule. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I have been coming here for over 2 years since moving to Mill Valley. After my last experience I will NEVER go back. I made an appointment for a brazilian that day. They told me to go into room that it was ready. I sat there for about 5 min with pants off waiting... not that big a deal just a little uncomfortable. Then the owner - Dorothy came in... I was a little nervous because usually the other girl does my waxing but figured she was owner so she would be OK... I was wrong. Long story short she waxed a bikini wax and said all finished... I had to remind her I wanted brazilian... this happened about 3 times where she said OK all finished and I had to check the hair, basically tell her her job and where and what to wax. THEN she put a strip of wax on me, put cloth on WALKED OUT OF ROOM to say hello to a customer and that she would be right with them, walked back in and ripped off cloth...UNREAL!! No warning no nothing...I was afraid the wax was going to harden! Its not over...again I had to ask for areas to be waxed. When it was finally over she said OK your done now and stayed in the room as I got up to get dressed. While I was getting dressed she stayed in the tiny room re-dressing the table not giving me any room or time to change. Just rude and unprofessional! Honestly if they didn't have time to do the job I would have been perfectly fine coming at a later time...this was by far the WORST experience I have ever had. My very first wax experience was better than this, do not go! Overpriced and better customer service elsewhere!!! read more

I absolutely love this place! I feel like I have finally found my spot. The prices are amazing (and even better if you are an SMMC member) and the manicures and pedicures at the best I've had in the county (and trust me, I've tried about 10 different places from Novato to Sausalito). We moved back to Marin in April of 2015 and I can't believe it took 2 years to find a quality salon. It's an old school type of mani/pedi where they don't rush you, give you a good massage, and really groom your nails. read more

Crap crap crap. Went initially on a Groupon and service was decent, pedi lasted a good 3 weeks but the mani was chipped after 4 days. They offered me a discount on a certificate for another mani pedi which I bought. I wanted to like this place as i live nearby. Used it 6 days ago and got a gel mani and pedi. Appt was for 12:30 and they ignored me until 1pm. At 2:15 - almost TWO HOURS later I was not done. The gel mani was totally gooped on and she kept getting up to service other people in the middle of it. Pedi was marginal with hastily done leg massage. For all this she told me the total cost would have been $90 and that's what I should tip off of - really!!??? It's been 6 days and my mani has peeled completely up and off my nails. Yea. I don't understand the bad reviews. I have been to every nail salon in Mill Valley and I will return to Trio. It is small (fine with me...I hate to wait) and comfortable. Heidi does a great job and all the women are friendly. The mani/pedi was great with a good long massage and clean utensils. The chair gives a great massage and paying extra for a neck massage from Heidi is also a treat. My color lasted just fine and I'll be back. My favorite in Mill Valley. read more

my wife had a horrible experience there recently. went in for a facial and waxing and they were very impersonal and mistreated the whole situation. dumping water on her shirt, being completely indiscreet, combining treatments that shouldn't be combined. she will not be going back, and cannot recommend this place. very unfortunate experience as it was my first time there. we signed up for yelp just to write this review as we felt very strongly about the experience. read more

I went to Trio Salon yesterday for the first time. My decision was based on the many positive reviews on Yelp. I am happy to report the positive reviews are accurate. The salon is very clean with lots of natural light coming in through the windows. The staff is welcoming, courteous and professional. I had a pedicure that was one of the best I have ever had. The woman who did the pedicure was gentle and quietly gave me one of the best pedicures I have ever had. My toenails look beautiful! And the pedicure was done without any incidents of being poked by a sharp instrument or roughness when smoothing the calluses. Relaxing music and hot green tea. And all for a VERY reasonable price. i'm happy to have found another place to get a nicer mani/pedi in Mill Valley. the space is bright and comfortable and clean. on certain days this guy (spacing on his name) will do massages! my dogs were barking big time - so i got a 10 min foot massage - it was heaven. my friend also got an extra foot massage - but not by the massage guy - and she said it didn't feel special (felt more like part of the regular pedi). prices were a little higher than other places ($35 for mani/pedi) - but i thought it was worth it! read more

Great salon! I got a shellac manicure, pedicure, waxing, and a massage on my neck, shoulders, and feet. Everything was top quality, and the staff is very friendly and professional. The place is very cute, too. They just need a tv! I really appreciated how gentle the manicure was - I felt totally safe and pampered. I really appreciated that they removed my old shellac with cotton balls and foil, rather than soaking my fingers in a bowl of acetone, which I try to avoid, My pedicure was very pampering and my feet looked great afterwards. This place's hygene is HORRENDOUS. I went into the bathroom and there was a lady in there getting her nail supplies. I beleive there nail supplies shouldn't be 2 inches away from the toilet. They walked in on me while I was on the toilet and continued to take supplies from the supply counter, and din't even care that I was in the middle of going to the bathroom. Also, there was a well sized poo in the toilet that was smeared along the seat of the bowl. This place should not even be considered a nail salon, more like China town. I made an appointment for 5 manicures and I have been sitting here for over an hour and nobody has even helped me. 3 other women came in as WALK INS and they were helped before us. Their nails are almost done as I am sitting here writing this angered review. I'd also like to add that they didn't allow me to get acrylics because there wasn't enough time since other customers came in despite the fact that I was here first. There is also not enough seating and they took my chair and took it from me for themsleves which isn't very "guest friendly". In general this place is what I would call HELL read more

If I could give them no stars, I would! The whole experience was horrible from start to finish. All I can say is don't tell them you have a gift certificate, , living social or any pre-paid form of payment because not only does the price go up so they an collect more on top of what you have already paid but the service goes way way down! The woman was completely rude from the moment I walked in, gave me the up and down and did not bother to ask me to sit. I had an appt. and they kept me waiting 35 minutes past my appt. time. No apology and they didn't even include the standard few minute hand massage. The shellac is supposed to be $40 for French but they tried to charge me $55 which I refused to pay. My groupon was for $40 which should of covered the entire treatment minus the tip. Very disappointed, service was terrible and the shellac manicure lasted a lousy week. I could of had a regular manicure for that. Save your money and time and go somewhere else!!!! read more

I did not have the option of selecting zero stars or that is exactly the one I would have chosen. Bought a Goupon deal for mani and pedi. Took my daughter for a girls treat. Boy did we get treated to the worse manicure ever. I should have known the quality of what to expect when this small shop offers services from massage, facials, mircodermabrasion, hair styling, piercing, waxing, mani-pedi, etc. Who can do all those things well? The day of our appointment it turns out they were in a big hurry to get us done and close the salon for the day. I would have gladly booked the appointment another day is I had know they would not be taking the time to do a good job. Both of us had chipping polish on our nails the very next day. Cuticles are worse than before I went. She polished my cuticles! Worse experience ever. I had purchased another Groupon for Trio but demanded a refund, which Groupon gladly gave me. I would never go back, even if it were free and they sent a car to pick me up. read more
