My new favorite burger outside of Portland (although I prefer steak fries), simply delicious!

The steak was cooked to perfection as medium rare. The salad was fresh with real ranch dressing. The potato had plenty of toppings, the rolls were homemade and fresh. I had to take half of my dinner home, because there was plenty of everything! The staff was friendly and really care about their customers. I will definitely be back at Trio Tavern. read more

Trio Tavern is quite alright for a small town watering hole. The place has character and has been around for quite some time. Local folks frequent this place and when we were there several people were on a first-name basis with the bartender and each other. The SpaceX launch was on when we arrived and were few people there to watch it together. They have a full bar with several beers on tap, as well as all the standard bottled beer offerings and alcohol galore. They also have a pretty tasty food menu with the standard comfort food you would find in a tavern, including sandwiches, appetizers, fries, et cetera. We ordered the ribeye dip with curly fries, and the reuben with homemade fries. Both were pretty good, though the ribeye dip was much better. They currently have social distancing measures in place, with pool tables pushed to the side, no seats at the bar, and about six or seven tables spread out in the interior. The outside area is also open. This seemed more than sufficient to protect people. Some other places we visited were much more strict and it seemed unnecessary. They should take notes from Trio's setup. Overall if you are in the area and are looking for a few drinks or a tasty lunch, you won't go wrong with Trio Tavern. Four stars! read more

Great , really great food and atmosphere. Mill City is Oregons last hidden gem and truly worthy of a visit. The Trio Tavern's food was like something from the past. What I mean to say is that I haven't seen or tasted meat so melt in your mouth, slooooowly cooked with SELECT WOOD. It's incredible that more eateries don't do this! Experience this roadhouse. I didn't get to see any bands but I heard that the live entertainment is great and will, for sure, come back. GREAT FOOD and super friendly . There was outdoor seating and lots of kids playing . Inside, there were friendly locals sitting around telling jokes and having lots of fun and laughter. There's lots of games and a pool table ,too. read more

During this lockdown stuff, and that we enjoy a meal out every now and then, have been staying local and very happy with obit choice. Rueben , burgers and fries were tonight's fare. The best. Love the fries, the burgers with wonderful big buns were top and Rueben the best ever. They also have dinner meals on the weekend. read more

This place USED to be awesome. They went from having big portions of tried and true bar food piled high with toppings to small servings and meager toppings. Breakfast not so great. 1st time was excellent. 2ndtime wasn't good, had to send food back excessive salt (the stacker). Tried a 3rd time but have decided not to eat there again for breakfast. Bloody Mary was excellent, but the food was flavorless. No cream for the coffee just 2% milk which is disappointing and rules out coffee for me. You ask for cream and they bring 2%. The online menu shows hashbrowns with the Trio Omelette but when you order it, there are no hashbrowns and the wait staff says no we've never served it with hashbrowns. Went out of my way after reading reviews. After I sat down in plain view of both employees I was ignored by both. I then went up and got a menu and was greeted by the bartender. Sat down for another 10 minutes and looked at several times by the female cook who never came over to check on me. There were only about 6 people at the bar and no one else in the place. The cook stared at me repeatedly but never cam over to check on me. Finally the bartender came over and said "I didn't see you come in". He was the one who greeted me earlier. I ordered fish tacos. 2 for $6 which seemed a good value. About 5 minutes later bartender cam back and asked me "that was fish tacos". Then finally put the order into the cook. I heard the cool say to the bartender "we are out of fish". I then saw the bartender show the cook where to find it the fish. I heard her say "I thought that was chicken." This is a little scary when the cook doesn't know which food is where. Tacos were very good and a good value. Cook needs to greet customers and help take orders when it is quiet. Service 1 star. The portions here are huge and the prices cheaper than anywhere else around. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I love that I can bring my dog and sit outside on their rustic patio. They have awesome breakfasts! read more

We've been to Mill City several times but had never stopped here. This time, just driving through, and wanted breakfast. The Tavern was clean and relatively quiet. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Both breakfasts that we ordered (stuffed French toast, and Belgian waffle) came with eggs and breakfast meat. Both meals were delicious and hot. Took 1 1/2 hours to get a breakfast sandwich. People were nice enough but the kitchen had to run n get more supplies. Sandwich was just ok so during wait, guys steps out the back where we were all seated and projectile vomits , over n over. The gagging sound from this poor dude was just sad. Sorry for him. It was before noon. It was also so sick and messed up to hear n see this waiting for food. read more

Took over an hour to get our food which was only burgers. They were not very busy. Waitress was not wearing a mask putting customers at risk. Even though there was a "masks required" sign on the door it appeared very few people going in and out of the place had masks on. Maybe locals get better service but if you are just passing through I'd recommend you skip this place. read more

Had a great lunch at the Trio! On our way to a pizza place up the road after attending a car show in Jordan. Noticed the inviting outdoor eating area at the strip as we drove by. Checked it out on yelp, nice reviews, so we turned around and went in. Great service and food. Was able to have our dog out on the patio. Wow! We stopped at this spot off the freeway with our dog and it did not disappoint. We had the BLT and the club and some beers. Food was amazing and just what we were looking for.
