Trio Tavern is quite alright for a small town watering hole. The place has character and has been around for quite some time. Local folks frequent this place and when we were there several people were on a first-name basis with the bartender and each other. The SpaceX launch was on when we arrived and were few people there to watch it together. They have a full bar with several beers on tap, as well as all the standard bottled beer offerings and alcohol galore. They also have a pretty tasty food menu with the standard comfort food you would find in a tavern, including sandwiches, appetizers, fries, et cetera. We ordered the ribeye dip with curly fries, and the reuben with homemade fries. Both were pretty good, though the ribeye dip was much better. They currently have social distancing measures in place, with pool tables pushed to the side, no seats at the bar, and about six or seven tables spread out in the interior. The outside area is also open. This seemed more than sufficient to protect people. Some other places we visited were much more strict and it seemed unnecessary. They should take notes from Trio's setup. Overall if you are in the area and are looking for a few drinks or a tasty lunch, you won't go wrong with Trio Tavern. Four stars!

During this lockdown stuff, and that we enjoy a meal out every now and then, have been staying local and very happy with obit choice. Rueben , burgers and fries were tonight's fare. The best. Love the fries, the burgers with wonderful big buns were top and Rueben the best ever. They also have dinner meals on the weekend.

Went out of my way after reading reviews. After I sat down in plain view of both employees I was ignored by both. I then went up and got a menu and was greeted by the bartender. Sat down for another 10 minutes and looked at several times by the female cook who never came over to check on me. There were only about 6 people at the bar and no one else in the place. The cook stared at me repeatedly but never cam over to check on me. Finally the bartender came over and said "I didn't see you come in". He was the one who greeted me earlier. I ordered fish tacos. 2 for $6 which seemed a good value. About 5 minutes later bartender cam back and asked me "that was fish tacos". Then finally put the order into the cook. I heard the cool say to the bartender "we are out of fish". I then saw the bartender show the cook where to find it the fish. I heard her say "I thought that was chicken." This is a little scary when the cook doesn't know which food is where. Tacos were very good and a good value. Cook needs to greet customers and help take orders when it is quiet. Service 1 star. Food 3 stars.

The portions here are huge and the prices cheaper than anywhere else around. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I love that I can bring my dog and sit outside on their rustic patio. They have awesome breakfasts!

This was a trip to the Sweet Home, Oregon area to hike McDowell Creek Falls. (Highly recommend the falls hike). On our way, we stopped at The Point, just outside of Sweet Home. Not much to look at from the outside and kind of a diner atmosphere inside. Somewhere, I read you had a "view" to the water. As you can see from the picture, it's a view (sort of) to Foster Reservoir. OK. However, the food and service were surprisingly good! I ordered the special of the day, a Chipotle Burger. Cooked perfectly with 1/3 lb local beef patty, bacon, chipotle sauce, lettuce, red onion and accompanied by some very good fries. My wife had the grilled cheese and it was awesome as well. Her only complaint was it had too much bacon. Yes, you heard that right, too much bacon. I also have been trying NA beers and the only brand I have found I like is Deschutes out of Bend. They had a Golden that I hadn't heard of and it was, in true Deschutes fashion, very good. Our server was Becky and she was amazing. She greets the regulars by name, was very helpful and informative, but not too chatty. If we were in this area again, we would definitely go back. Without hesitation. Great find!

The small pieces were the only drawback. Sweet potato fries rounded out our meal. Melted marshmallows with some cinnamon or pumpkin spice would have been a great accompaniment with the sweet potato fries. Dessert was their luscious coconut cream pie. The crust was crunchy, pie itself was smooth and just slid down your throat into belly heaven. A must try for sure! Atmosphere was calm with a few other diner. Flies swirled about overhead in the main dining room and saw cobwebs hanging on a lamp by the window.

The 'OG' double has those perfect crispy, lacy edges that you can never quite get at home. Simple, no-nonsense, and fairly priced compared to everywhere else in Bend right now. But this place in Bend... this is serious burger territory. First thing you notice: they're not messing around with the menu. Just burgers that understand what a burger is supposed to be. Double patty. Brioche bun. Cheese doing its job. America. I ordered The O.G. because I respect tradition. American cheese, caramelized onions, burger sauce. Simple system. Works great. Like a pickup truck that starts every time. My buddy got The Popper which is basically what happens when a jalapeño popper and a burger start collaborating. Bacon, jalapeño cream cheese, ranch. It looked like something a scientist made to test the limits of happiness. Fries were solid. Soda cold. No weird nonsense. Just burgers doing burger things. Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because if I lived closer I would probably eat here too often and that feels medically irresponsible. I'd give it 6 stars if Yelp understood burgers better.

They are just that committed to taking care of people, and it shows. The negative reviews here are hilarious! You can walk in wearing a tuxedo if you want to (if you do, definitely lead with that in your review because it definitely helps... uhhhh... set "context"). They'll still make you a great burger, but don't blame the locals if you feel out of place, or it drips yummy deliciousness on your Armani, or you had to wait a few minutes before they realized you don't know how to respect the busy staff of one enough to place your order at the bar if you're in a hurry. I think they have a staff of 30 or so, a Tesla Supercharger, and your "The Metropolitan" cocktail waiting at Red Robin back in town if you're into that sort of thing.
