Love triple e's! BBQ is good and it's our go to breakfast spot. People are nice and kind too.

You can tell this place knows what they're doing. Service was super friendly. I believe I said that would be a perfect last meal if I could choose one. Felt like I was stepping back in time when I sat down to eat. Has an old school diner vibe with some badass bbq. Had the fish filet sandwich, bbq sandwiche, Mac and cheese and the Cole slaw. Local BBQ joint by the lake. I said I would not come back here. It's been at least a year since our last visit. I was hoping it had improved. No such luck. Baked beans and Blue Gill were good and hot. Unfortunately the pork chop was barely warm and tough as hell. The onion rings were overcooked and gray inside. They had very little taste other than grease. I should have sent that chop back, but you know sometimes I just want to get done and get the hell out. First time ever I was charged for water. Is that a thing. Oh by the way I almost fell on my ass when we walked in due to grease and water on the floor. I'll for sure will not go back especially if I have to pay for water. read more

The place is incredibly sketchy and gross . The food was horrible my steak was as dry as jerky and my husband had fish he said it was old and oily . There was filth everywhere we were distracted when we first got there by a 4 year old . We quickly noticed food all over the floors and general filth . It makes you scared about what the kitchen looks like since dining area is this horrible . My waitress was friendly that's the only nice thing I can say . I have dined in 3rd world countries before but this was the most uncleaned and disorganized place I have ever seen . This place sucks, talk about lack of diversity. I am a local Mexican American. I felt like the girl, Alisha who took our order barely kept a straight face. The rib tips portion were like a kids meal size. I honestly was giving this place a shot supposedly was good, but to who people with no tastebuds. I can grill a lot better than this crappy place. For cleanliness during Covid-19, SKIP THIS RESTAURANT . Staff was not wearing masks, tables STILL had all condiments on them, bbq sauces, salt and pepper, mustard, ketchup, and napkins. Tables were not sanitized in between customers. This is a dangerous restaurant right now, and absolute health hazard to anyone. Reeks of old fish, too. Just don't go. It's a health hazard. read more

Stopped here on the road down south, needed gas but when we saw the restaurant and smelled the food cooking, we figured this was a good place to stop. The server was enthusiastic and friendly and we got the rib-tips and pulled pork. Food was seasoned well and cooked nicely. Fries and coleslaw made for good sides. This restaurant has been so disappointing this last year. Formerly a Gold Mine allowed to go to hell during COVID. Because it is one of the very few restaurants near the lake, we often did take out during COVID. I assumed the mediocre food was a result of take out routine. I usually get a meal with baked potato which is often overcooked and has been in a warmer drawer too long. Today we ate in. My pork chop while tasty was at least 1/3 fat. Baked potato seriously overcooked and had a rotten spot in it. Table was dirty. Salt and pepper shakers were so greasy, I had to use a napkin to hold them. Service was awful. I think the waitress was new. She gave us our water and we waited 15 minutes for her to take our order. She said she forgot us even though she passed us several times to wait on one of the other four occupied tables. The place was not busy. Had to ask for place settings and a steak knife. After she brought our place settings we didn't see or hear from her again till she brought the check. Honestly, this place is just getting more disappointing. One sad star. read more

We took some out of town family there for lunch today. As usual the food was good as was the service. However, there was zero COVID-19 precautions being taken. Customers were allowed to sit wherever they wanted, none of the staff were wearing masks, all the condiments were left on the table and we didn't witness any tables being sanitized. Our waitress even handed us our beverages by putting her bare hands on top of the glass. Thankfully, we had straws. Fortunately we had our own hand sanitizer and my sister-in-law has Chlorox wipes in her purse. We walked in this place and waited for someone to bring us a menu and silverware. Three other groups walked in after us and were give menus and silverware. We were totally ignored. No one even acknowledged that we were there. They get one star because we couldn't go any lower. The place was only half full, so there really wasn't any excuse to completely ignore us. Worth getting off the Lake Egypt Rd exit! Fantastic BBQ! The Baby back ribs were so "fall-off-the-bone" tender with a great smokey flavor. The coleslaw tops KFC's and the okra was very light and perfectly crispy. The pulled pork sandwich was flavorful, moist and very delicious. Came into the area for a fishing trip and with not much to choose from we ate our first day there. The sandwiches we chose were good along with excellent onion rings. At all cost avoid the potato skins as an appetizer. Who makes potato skins with cheese wiz and bacos? They were disgusting!!! I can't believe how bad they were. read more

Decent BBQ. Quick place to eat right next to the lake as long as they aren't too busy. They have a back room that is kept closed off all the time, so you might have to wait a lol bit. Staff is always friendly. Food has always been hot - sides are pricey but when it's delivered to your table you see why. It's enough for 2! read more

Great food as I remember it from almost 20 yrs ago. Fried green beans were the best I've eat'n. The open faced pork sandwich was not very good served over bread and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, would have been okay w/o the gravy. Bluegill dinner was awesome and big pieces. We eat here at least 1 time a week and more often on weekends. We love eating here. The fish is great and Barbeques are wonderful. They have a great 1/2 lb mushroom Swiss burger I order in the restaurant with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. We ordered this to go today to eat at home and asked for it to be cooked pink or medium with extra gravy on burger and mashed potatoes with gravy. The burger was flat and dry and hard and found the bottom of burger burnt and no gravy. I don't know what happened today but it should not have been sent out like that. Their food is reasonably priced and I can't find much reason to complain except for today's food. Service has always been good for us except the 1 time I took family. The waitress was rude and threw our plates and condiments on the table. I have not seen her since. I feel bad because my brother had a previous bad experience with a Triple EEE restaurant in town in Marion. Overall we will continue to eat there and try to eat mostly IN the restaurant to insure the quality we expect and hope to get. read more
