I would leave zero stars if possible. They use a leaf blower to clean their lot, blowing the trash into neighboring lots/yards. Plow their snow into my backyard. Cross the alley to come spray chemicals and clean their equipment. I have spoke to the offenders, called the police and it continues. WORST NEIGHBOR EVER with zero respect for other's property! When a BBQ place shares a city with the renown 17th Street Barbecue comparisons will be inevitable. A pitmaster's Q in Marion has to be exceptional to go toe to toe with 17th Street. I don't think Riley's is there yet. BBQ preferences are highly personal but there are regional expectations. Sauces and rubs are a couple of examples. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries. The pork came wet (sauced) with an option of mild or spicy. I chose mild. The order arrived quickly and I pounced on a mouthful of...what was that? I'd latched onto a mouthful of vinegar. The Midwest is the sweet sauce capitol of US BBQ. Using a vinegar sauce here should probably come with an early warning. Each bite was sour followed by a little sweetness. It didn't work. I suspect the meat was doused with vinegar and finished with sauced buns: Edge pieces were milder and smoky. Chow-chow was also an option on the sandwich. I took it on the side. A Southern pickled vegetable relish, Riley's version tasted like chopped onions and pickle juice added to a LOT of yellow mustard. The mustard, vinegar, and sweet sauce on the sandwich must make a terrible and confused taste. Fries had a crispy coating. They needed more seasoning and some salt helped. Riley's has dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru service. Indoor COVID precautions were mixed. Socially distanced tables, required masks, and masked employees were in place but there was no plexiglas partition at the checkout. read more

Stopped by for a quick sandwich. The drive through was backed up so went inside to place my order. The wait was incredibly long but it was still lunchtime so I was patient. Finally, got my sandwich and iced tea and left. I had ordered a brisket sandwich and it was flooded with sauce. When I examined it more it was mostly fat. Hardly and meat on it. Pretty disgusting and disappointing. read more

The food is amazing the waiters are too. It's also a go to place for my family breakfast or lunch.

We went to eat on a Friday evening. It was very crowded. Found us a table. Waitress very nice. Timing was good. Didn't have to wait long for our food!! Food was hot and great!! No complaints!! Will go back! read more

The food here is good yes, but the service from the workers was horrible. I went in and got food here recently and upon paying I found out that they don't take PayCard which is one of my only forms of payment with the job I have. They messed up my food the first time I went through the drive through, and when I called to let them know I was missing items. Instead of saying they would try and fix it for me they instead said "it was in a paper bag" that I in fact didn't receive in my order. So I asked if I could possibly come get another one, and had to pay full price. The ambiance is off as well being in one the most busiest places and having such a crowded building both inside and out. read more

Ordered a pork BBQ sandwich with the sauce on the side. Meat has good flavor without but the sauce was way too vinegary. Needs more brown sugar and a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Fries crispy with average flavor. Very sweet waitress. read more

Don't waste your $$ on the "new" burnt ends. We've lived in the southwest several times & had excellent burnt ends at various restaurants--one-bite pieces of tender meat with NO fat. The 3 of us got Riley's burnt ends last week, & they were bad; the only tasty part was the sauce. Big chunks of meat with fat on almost every piece that were cooked through but definitely were not burnt ends. Very disappointing. read more

We weren't sure about coming because of some negative reviews on this site. I decided to give it a shot with my family anyway and I'm glad I did. The pulled pork was very good and flavorful. The potato salad was spot on. Fries were crunchy and well seasoned. The pork steak was delicious. It was a great experience. I have a feeling that there's some person being unnecessarily negative in reviews for reasons that have nothing to do with the food...because I don't know how you could complain about the quality. Servers were also attentive and helpful. Good prices especially on the specials. Give them a try and let them know what you thought. Times are hard and business owners need to hear from us that they're doing well. I don't live in Marion but I'll eat here happily the next time I'm over that way! read more

We love Riley's Smokehouse! We dine in and order for pick up in their drive thru often. Food is always wonderful, hot and fresh. Some of our favorites are the bbq, ribs, smokehouse burger, and fish. Also love the fried mushrooms, okra, and French fries. read more

The food is good. Unfortunately, I know from now a couple of reliable sources, an employees can suddenly be treated expendable if a favorite needs their shift changed. No food is good enough to make bad behavior ok. The owner evidently can't handle these situations alone either & has had her fav waitresses standing by when insulting & suddenly changing someone's shift in an attempt to get them to quit. Very unprofessional! My family , sadly but vehemently, will no longer patronize this small ( in more ways than one) business. Thank you for reading! read more

Went there to get the wings. After ordering 12 you would think they would give you 6 drums and 6 flats. Well they decided to give me 9 flats and 2 drums. That's right and it only added up to 11. I asked for sauce to be placed on the side and they put sauce on chicken. I did have to wait 10 minutes plus for the order. read more

Too long of a wait for food. After 30 minutes or so after ordering I left. The other people in my party stuck it out. Unacceptable. I don't care if you have drive thru/call in orders as well. At least give a warning! read more

Stopped in and tried the breakfast special. The place was packed. I expected a long wait. All of a sudden the waitress, who was handling everything, stopped by and took my order. In no more than 5 minutes she returned with my order. It was perfect! Just like I wanted. I highly recommend Riley's. read more

Outstanding value. The brisket was awesome and the cole slaw was the best I've ever had. Good old American bbq comfort food
