This spot doesn't look like much from the outside - it's takeout only it's no tables in the little waiting space. It looks like a tiny little spot where you can't even see the kitchen! But don't let it all fool you - the food is great! The prices are fairly reasonable, a bit steep it seems but the food does measure up. Staff is nice but not as transparent as they could be - some people were waiting in the store for a long time without any updates as to what the status of their order was. Just ok and works in a pinch. Seriously, can I get decent Chinese Food in the Twin Cities? I asked for extra extra spice in my dish and it just wasn't there. I guess it's a Minnesota thing. Their Fried Rice is decent, but they need to add an extra cut to the carrots. The rice should be the star, not big chunky carrots. I have never been here for dinner but they have a pretty decent lunch special for under $10. I usually get the king pao chicken with fried rice and Vietnamese egg roll. Solid choice every time. My only complaints are no silverware included and the service was not the best. No one was up front for 15 minutes. Parking is also a nightmare. read more

Really wasn't expecting much but was craving Vietnamese food so gave it a try. And wow! The grilled pork vermicelli salad was awesome. I lived in Vietnam for 5 years and I have to say it was shockingly authentic. Also got the Dan Dan noodles and they were delicious as well. The dan dan noodles were really good and the hot and sour soup was tasty, but the curry beef, pork chow fun, and broccoli were all just so/so. However, all of the dishes were HUGE; we had more than enough food for two more meals. Prices are also super reasonable. We were a bit disappointed that our food wasn't ready yet, despite ordering ahead and arriving about 5 minutes after our scheduled time. Tri's Wok has been in business for a long time. They are pick up or delivery only. Huge menu! I've been pleased with the items I've tried. Excellent cream cheese wontons and Chinese egg rolls with hot mustard sauce. If you like curry the Singapore noodles are so good! They have some heat, and come with fresh lime to squeeze over them, really nice. I also have had pork egg foo yung and it was very flavorful. All in all I recommend trying them out. read more

We have been ordering from Tri's Wok for two years. Today we ordered from them again & had the meal delivered. Much to our surprise & disappointment the meal was overcooked. My wife ordered Hawaiian Chicken & the chicken was not supposed to be fried but it came fried. The egg rolls & wan ton's were burnt & tasted terrible. Husband likes the sweet and sour shrimp. I think the large size won ton soup is good so I got that. On most occasions everything I order from here has too much sauce so I'm very careful. Ordered Dan-Dan noodles, not spicy. It looked good on the surface. I took a bite of noodles and the level of spiciness almost burned off my lips. Not kidding. Then I looked further into the dish and realized there was this horrible oily sauce lurking at the bottom. I dumped it all into a colander, let it sit for a bit, draining off all of that horrible oil slick. Then I took one more taste. Totally inedible! And, into the garbage it went. I don't know what these people are thinking but it was by far the worst thing ever. I'm still having nightmares about it and it's the next morning. I have been going to Tris wok for my low quality Chinese fusion food now for a year. It was average and overpriced, but it did the fix for what could be a lot better downtown. As a local wayzata resident, I got tris wok yesterday and they were 1 hour late. Then the food made me and my partner violently ill. Today I called 3 times- the first time someone told me that I was wrong and that meat usually makes people ill, not the veggie selection we got. She said someone would review it and call us back. No one called us back so I called again and she said to call in 30. The worst part of this- my partner calls and speaks to the manager who tells us to go through insurance, wouldn't give us a refund partial refund coupon or even a sorry our food made you sick. "Get a doctors note and go through insurance." Unbelievably rude with absolutely 0 empathy. Wayzata-ians- for your Asian fusion fix don't go to Tris Wok. I've done takeout several times from Tri's and tried something new every time. Its simply the freshest Asian takeout I've ever had. The clearly take pride in what they do. I highly recommended! UPDATE: Had a terrible experience last night which is very unfortunate since I've been a long time customer. I placed an order on online and ordered a lunch size portion because I was only ordering for 1. I showed up and the young man working looked shocked and said that it should have been canceled and refunded by Orderspoon because they couldn't make me a lunch portion. Orderspoon texted me a confirmation of the order but I never receieved anything via email or test saying that it was canceled. I am pretty sure it was on the employee to call me about the cancellation because it was initiated by Tris and not OrderSpoon. The reaction on the young man's face said it all. But he doubled down by not even bothering to try to offer to make me something for the invonvenience. Hard to express the degree of disappoint I had with Tris wok. First of all, I got chao mein, which in Mandarin literally translates to "Fried Noodles". What I received was a a tasteless sauce covering chopped celery. Literally. That's it. I tried some of my wife's Kung Pao chicken and it was so tough I almost couldn't bite through the thin cut chicken. The sauce was without flavor and had a lot of sugar. Tris wok made me and my partner violently ill. I spoke to the manager and instead of offering us any sort of consolation he told us that "this is a business, we need to go through insurance and you get a doctors note." We told him we have never heard a restaurant tell us to go through insurance or doctors before and that would most likely be a $500 trip for which we would have to pay out of pocket for and then wait 4-6 weeks to be reimbursed for. He invalidated us completely. Btw- this food has made us sick before but we usually get it when we are in a rush or tired. It is overpriced for its below average quality and terrible service. Been driving past this place for over a year. Finally last month their business sign stating "Vietnamese" caught my eye. I turned around and drove in. Ordered their Vietnamese egg rolls (with fish sauce) and chicken broccoli (spicy). Took it home to eat. It was all absolutely delicious! Today, I picked up a similar order with beef broccoli. My friends both had the grilled pork vermicelli salad. The kids split an orange chicken lunch special. All of us loved what we had and the 2 year old ate his fried rice with gusto. We ordered on Christmas. EVERYONE had the same idea. Order was placed at 4:30, I was told 30-40 min. So I showed up 45 min later, it was a zoo. I was told 15 more minutes, so I waited in the car. Then stood 10 more minutes and received my order. The cashier was very poised and kept a poker face through multiple customer disappointments. Most customers were understanding and patient. Called in at 7:25 for a pick up order, was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. Arrived 35 minutes later and paid for the order, then was told after they took my money and tip that it would be another 15 minutes as they never bothered to put the order in so they were starting it now. I asked them to cxl the order and refund it and they said no it wouldn't take long now with no offer of any compensation. Finally got food at 8:09. Ordered Chicken lo mein with no bok choy, vietnamese egg rolls and pork fried rice. Guess what got bok choy in the lo mein. Hardly any meat in the eggrolls and the pork fried rice was great.
