Everything was amazing from the service to each course. It just kept getting better and better it was so good we decided to go back the next day for lunch. The restaurant was clean and beautiful as well as every member of their staff. The food was out of this world! I can wait to come back.

    House Salad with Vinaigrette Dressing

My KCRW lunch experience was very good. The menu included many good choices, so it was hard to pick, but the house salad, the mahi mahi with wild rice and sauteed green beans, and the carrot cake were delicious. The service was excellent - cheerful, friendly, and attentive, while the dining area was nice, but open and tightly-packed, which caused noise levels to rise. Overall, very nice!

Amazing food. Went for KC Restaurant Week last night and it was delicious! Three courses for $40. Service was excellent and drinks were fast. Very nice place too! This was my first time here but I would definitely come back.

Fried Calamari - large, not very bready, but bland without the cocktail sauce.

I cannot believe how bland this food was. I came here for KC Restaurant Week, and they looked to have a very good deal: 3 dishes, appetizer, entree, and dessert, for $15. The appetizer I chose was fried calamari, which was fine and large, but the cocktail sauce saved it. Next up was the 72 Hour Short Rib... and wow. Bland on all levels - the meat, the sauce, the sides. I've had hospital food that had more flavor. I didnt have the heart nor the confidence to send it back - my server was very attentive and nice, but there was zero guarantee that any other dish I would have picked would've been better, and time was of the essence. After that disappointment, I had the DoubleTree Cookie Brownie Sundae, and this could have been good except you could tell they had stored it in the freezer, so everything was hard. Sadly, I honestly can't see myself giving this place another shot.

    Kansas steak soup

When I arrived on a Monday, I was a starving Marvin. I ordered room service and it was there in 20 mins. Got the Kansas steak soup and chicken tenders & fries. It was great. Had the full breakfast bar on Tuesday morning, it was great. Cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, fruit, meats, eggs, oatmeal, etc. & an omelet station. All everything you can think of to drink. Then on Thursday night, I wanted to explore out but it was raining and pouring so I decided to stay in. I was sat in the back and it was a nice area. You had to cross a bridge with running water. I was greeted right away. I ordered the Kansas steak soup, and the Kansas Style Strip with crispy fingerling potatoes. Delicious!!! Friday morning, I came down for the full breakfast bar and ordered an omelet. It was so good. Fluffy, tasty, and just great! The restaurant manager, JP is super awesome. I forgot my dinner receipt on Thursday night. He made sure the receipt was at the front desk when I checked out.

    12 Hour Braised Short Rib
    Kris L.

Three stars aren't necessarily a knock to the restaurant it's a decent place. Went for restaurant week and it was a bit empty but I didn't mind it. The braised short rib was solid and they gave generous portions which I appreciated overall. The French onion soup was a bit, interesting. The cheese was a bit lumped up so it may throw off some people visually but it was okay. The salmon, huge, but lacked overall flavor. I'd suggest mixing it with the rice and green beans to add some salty elements into it. The cheesecake was decent and had good texture and the carrot cake was better than expected. Overall the servers were very nice and I wanted to give it a 4 star based off of that but the food was just a bit underwhelming for what I thought it'd be overall. Super nice inside by the way that's intimidate. So, I'd recommend this place to travelers that have a bit of pocket cash and don't want too salty food and good portions. 3 star isn't a knock here, expectations may have just been a bit high.

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

For our drinks we orders 'Have a Cigar' and a low sugar mocktail they created for me. Both were made very well and were super refreshing. For our mains, we ordered, 'Black Cardamon Burnt ends', 'Tandoori Chicken' and 'Smash burger with peri peri fries' and for desert we ordered the parle g mango ice-cream' sandwich with some aromatic chai. My most favorite dish out of all were the burnt ends - they had a superb fusion flavor of Indian spices which went well with the meat and paired well with the grits. Trust me when i say this that i would eat this everyday for the rest of my life if i could. The smash burger and peri peri fries were excellent and definitely hit the spot. The real disappointed was with Tandoori chicken. I felt the chicken did not pair well with the sambar risotto and the fried okra even though it tasted good, was an after thought. The rice in the risotto was very grainy and undercooked. I told that to our server and they instantly apologized and acknowledged the issue and also proceeded to remove the dish from our bill. After that the chai was very warm and comforting and the parle g ice-cream biscuits were nostalgic and a great way to finish the meal. While not every dish was perfect, i love the excellent customer service they provided and the way the owner/manager/staff handled our feedback. I will be back to try more food here - 5/5.

We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! Food = 5/5 Facility = 4/5 Service = 5/5 Ambiance = 4/5 Value = 3/5

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

At the end of the meal, we were still charged the full amount without any mention of the incident.
