Got something from here for a local festival. Ridiculously overpriced. Ordered a carne asada fries with an horchata and the total came to $12.50 for the combo. I was expecting a whole takeout box worth of fries but instead got something like less than half of that. I also asked for the spicy sauce on the side and they literally put it on the side...on top of the fries. That will teach me to say I want the sauce separately. Not one star because the horchata was good and the fries themselves were passable. read more

Great aqua Fresca. Also tried the carna asada fries. They were good. The grilled onions on them was good and the sour cream tasted different in a food way. Unfortunately, the special sauce they use tasted like ketchup n bbq. Wish they has salsa for the fries. read more

I was disappointed with these carne asada fries. They have waaaay to much onion the fries were super greasy. And over all just not that great, and super expensive for what it is. I'm giving 3 stars because the agua fresca was good. But I will not be getting this again. read more

This vendor was at the palisades July 4th parade and I thought the food was pretty good!!! Got the spicy sausage which was reasonable spicy!! The watermelon juice was fresh and sweet!! He even offered the sausage protein style without the bread...honestly was grilled really well and enjoyed it!!! read more

Crap bacon wrapped hot dog. Looks great. Tasted like soggy oatmeal Aqua fresca horchata was okay. Gratis piece of watermelon was good and fresh. Combo for the above and a bag of chips was $10.75. Rip off. read more

$25 for an order of Asada fries and a bacon wrapped hot dog. Pretty steep prices for what they are offering. Would not recommend their food for the prices you are paying. read more

Horrible! Way too expensive! Rip off! No prices shown so they can charge whatever they want. $9 for a store bought Bratwurst that they cut into 3 before sticking it into a cheap 99 Cents Store hotdog bun. Never again. Steer clear of this rip off joint. Have no idea how they are still in business at this point. read more

Ruined our food truck experience at Fountain Valley's concert in the park. The first night we thought hey why bother dragging a whole cooler and food let's just buy something from the food trucks. Outrageous prices. $15 for hot dog, canned soda and tiny chips. At that price we got one to share which isn't enough. Never again. And we're not the only ones upset, they single handedly ruined the whole food at the concert experience. I have never gone back to that area since the first concert, I bring my own food now. This stand is at the Downey farmers market.They do not post the prices of the food like they are supposed to.Their aguas frescas are $2 more for the exact same thing offered next door. By not posting prices, customers don't have a fair choice of where the buy.Misleading to say the least. read more

This truck is a vendor at my son's football games. I look forward to our home games solely for the watermelon agua fresca and carne asada fries. Prices are a bit steep for being a street vendor ($6 agua fresca, $8 carne asada fries) but of course it doesn't stop me cause both are delicious. Every time. The older lady with hazel eyes is a doll. She's super cool and does her best to make sure things are running smoothly and efficiently (the lines get ridiculously long and the workers are usually teens) They even accept cards with that Square mechanism so they get an extra star for that added convenience. **Edited to add: I recently found out that the prices are actually fundraiser prices (menu price+ a couple dollars that goes back to whatever venue theyre at) It isn't the owner trying to be greedy or anything so I thought it was worth noting. read more

Total shit... Sorry but I'm never this critical of a vendor... I ran into this at the kroq Kentucky derby beerfest at Santa Anita race track and it was total BS! I ordered a single hot dog and fries totaling $22!!! If I wanted to add a 25¢ bag of chips and a drink(make it a combo) with each entree it was $34!!!! Wtf?!? Hot dog was ok but the fries were suppose to be "carne Asada fries" only thing is... There was NO ASADA in them ! It had about 5 little pieces of something in them, NOT even sure it was meat! And fries were cooked into small pieces of wood, making matters even worse, they were cold. How do I know they were cold? Because the cheese never melted! read more

I am shocked at the terrible reviews for one of our all time favorite finds in Los Angeles! As far as we are concerned, this family run operation is a five star establishment. They are always friendly and helpful, providing you with a tasty array of peppers, onions and even sometimes sauerkraut to go on your dog at no additional charge. Their agua frescas are fresh and delicious with a nice slice of watermelon and strawberry on top. They have been working the farmers markets for over a decade and take pride in their food. They have made lifelong customers out of us and as we now make it a point to swing by their booth weekly. Until next week... read more

My wife and I visited the farmer's market at the Orange Great Park Irvine today and we passed their booth and saw what we thought looked like delicious bacon wrapped hotdogs. There were no prices listed, but we figured we would be impulsive and buy one to try. After the young lady took our order, she began to make it without telling us how much it cost. After she handed us the hot dog, we asked how much and to our shock she said it is $10 dollars. The silence and looks on our faces conveyed our feeling to her and so she follows up with," but it comes with a drink and chips." So as she continued making our order, we debated whether to cancel our order. But at the last second, we decided to go through with it in effort not to lose face. The drink station consisted of buckets with no lids or ice and there were a couple of flies circling from above. We went with the watermelon lemonade. The bag of chips was a child size portion of Fritos. You know, the kind you buy in bulk who's serving size is probably worth .25 cents. We tried to keep a positive attitude and hoped that the hotdog was at least gourmet. But it did not taste good at all. In fact, it tastes like an Oscar Meyer Weiner that you buy from Walmart. The best part of our meal was the room temperature, flies feces laced watermelon lemonade which was garnished with a cube of warm watermelon. After a half an hour with the feeling of being ripped off, we came to the realization that this was a life lesson. Prior to purchasing anything, even street food, If no price is listed, always ask before buying. I gotta hand it to them for tricking us into paying a premium price for a garbage product. But like they say, " Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Needless to say, we will not be repeat customers. read more
