While on our…read moreway to our campground in FL in 2023, we blew a back tire on our 5th wheel in the Carolinas, which damaged the whole side panel. In route to our South Miami campground, I googled for a Grand Design RV repair shop off of I-95 in the vicinity of where our campground is and found this location only about 15 minutes off I-95 in Palm Beach. We stopped there prior to getting to our campground to have them access the damage. The service we received was exceptional, with a complete analysis of the damage, the estimated cost of repair and the process of ordering the parts. When the parts were in, we took our 5th wheel back for the repair. No wait time once we arrived. On the way there, the brackets on the long drawer under the TV broke. We also found out, once at our campground, we had an issue with the auto leveling system, as when the tire blew it punched a hole in the underside of the RV which damaged the leveling wires. Keith, the manager said no worries, he would have his repair technicians fix the drawer and the leveling system, no extra cost and it would probably only take them about 15 minutes. Well the repair to the leveling system was a bigger job than originally anticipated and took close to an hour. We were charged $0 for them to do these additional repairs, and only had to pay for the drawer slide brackets, that thankfully were in stock! We were delighted with the quality of work performed and the outstanding service support we received from Keith and his crew. If we ever need repair done again on our way to FL, this is absolutely the place we will go to.

Buying a BRAND NEW $40,000 Forest River travel trailer from General RV has been the single worst purchasing experience of my life. From the moment we walked in to pick up our RV, it's been one disaster after another, and we have only had it A WEEK!!! We had a scheduled "delivery" appointment to pick up our trailer, yet no one was there to greet us, the camper wasn't ready and we just sat there, and waited 30 minutes before they even acknowledged us for pick up. Plenty of people wanted to SELL us a camper - but now that they had our money - we didn't matter. Then, once the camper was brought up front (in a really bad place to pull away from - careless) we asked them if they could screw in the new 2" ball we bought to the hitch (a 2 minute job requiring a wrench) and they tried to CHARGE US $70!!! For tightening a bolt!!!! Mind you, they advertise "free delivery within 50 miles," LIES! Thats a whole other issue. So, we were actually saving THEM the trouble by picking it up ourselves, since we were only going 20 minutes up the road. And then came the real nightmare... The awning arm bolt snapped and COMPLETELY broke off the first time we extended it, after FIVE MINUTES!!! It was hanging off the side of our trailer, banging into the sidewall, threatening to rip the awning or the other arm out! We called the manager for help, and their response???? "We can't help you. We don't recommend anyone. Figure it out." No guidance, no support, just apathy and attitude. Seriously?! The service department was no better. Their brilliant solution? I needed to TOW the trailer BACK to them... with the broken awning hanging off!!!! Which is not only unsafe, it's practically impossible, let alone to do myself. And on top of that, they said they couldn't even guarantee it would be covered under warranty, and said it would take two weeks just to get an answer. I LIVE in this camper! So... WTF am I supposed to do til then? IT IS BRAND NEW! Lights were broken, the sink vinyl completely is pealing all the way off around the rim... after using it for 1 day. Like seriously... you will take the money - not stand behind your product FALLING APART after just purchasing it? I could live with it breaking, if they were amenable to fixing it. They have 0 Fs give. The only person who showed an ounce of professionalism, human decency, or helpfulness was Justin in service. He took the time to get me a used part to hold me over in the meantime and prevent further damage to the awning and the whole unit, explained how to install it, and even recommended a mobile repair tech to help if needed. Justin... you're the only reason this review isn't written in all caps. You deserve a raise and a job at a company that actually gives a damn. To anyone thinking of buying from General RV... DON'T. Just DON'T. Unless you enjoy being ignored, up charged, and stuck with a broken "brand new" RV and zero support. Absolutely disgraceful. I legit hate this place. Except Justin. Thanks again man. I am also attaching photos of the broken bolt, the bed that doesn't close right (you can see where the bolt is hitting the frame of the bed with an indent), the sink that is peeling, the piece under the bed is not attached on one side, and the mirror light was not working. Thats just what we found after 1 week. We are still learning where things are, where they go, and finding more things wrong or broken each day. DONT buy from here. Oh I forgot - we asked for them to put a door stop on the door since it didn't have one - they put it in the WRONG place! So we had to have them put on ANOTHER one, because we refused to have HOLES in the brand new siding! Literal idiots!

STEER CLEAR OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT and IF you have an RV on Consignment GO AND GET IT BEFORE THEY SELL IT OUT FROM UNDER YOUR FEET, you will never see a dime, check the reviews, this is NOT the first time they have done this. OWNER was arrested fOR NOT paying almost 500K in sales tax. Funny thing, is NO ONE seems to care that this business is STILL OPEN and operating . I don't know where we go from here. Neither of us have ever lived in a travel trailer before and knew literally nothing about anything. Gigi, Ivan, and Jared helped us pick our perfect home. They made the entire process simple and worry-free. We had an inspector come out and he gave us a list of repairs which the crew here took care of right away. They have been our go-to for ANY AND ALL questions we've had over the last 3 months. How to flush our tanks, which truck to purchase, how to put a hitch on, how to tow our trailer. Literally every question we've had, they were knowledgeable and patient enough to answer for us. I don't know if they want this advertised, but Jared even gave us towing lessons. He is legit a prodigy when it comes to towing and we knew we were learning from the best. He has been so incredibly patient and encouraging. We are about to set off across the country and really couldn't have done it without these guys' help. Thank you so so much. Lastly, Gigi holds a free event every Friday night at the dealership with food, drinks, and live music. They recently moved to Pompano Beach and the spot is awesome! Highly recommend going for a great night out.

We would have been better off in a tent! They didn't even provide a tool set to try and fix things. And then they held our deposit. They charged more than was quoted on their website for pick up and delivery. And the. They tried to keep our deposit!! I literally had to cancel my credit card as they wouldn't stop putting charges through. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. See attached just one of the conversations. What's the point of an RV if it doesn't work without being hooked up to power and water?!? We spent our whole weekend trying to get it to work.
