I've never heard or tried Salvadorean food until this spot! Super small grandma shop so to-go is definitely the best way to go! We tried a variety of the papusas and tamales and they were all pretty tasty. Very light in flavor so don't go in expecting a punch. Food is good and the friendly service is genuine. The highlights here are the cheese filled pupusas with meat, zucchini or spinach with a cabbage salad, and the carne asada or pollo adobo plates. The fresh fruit juices are refreshing, but lean more toward the sugary side. The Salvadorean tortillas are more like a pan fried flatbread than what we've come to expect from the typical Mexican version. Four to five stars for the uniquely Salvadorean pupusas and the wonderful owners/staff. While the rice, beans, and meat/fish and are rich, the flavors lack character (although pretty much in line with this kind of homestyle Central American fare), and makes this place more average. read more

We stopped in just a few days ago and I neglected to write an updated review not even to check in because We were so excited to be here. It's been 6 months since our last visit. So here we are again, ordering our favorite pupusas, a hand made tortilla filled with wonderful-ness! Today I ordered a Loroco and cheese and a bean pupusa. Loroco is an edible vine & flower from Central America. They are served with a cabbage & carrot salad in a vinegar dressing. On the side is a tomato sauce and a hot sauce for dipping. It's all great! When in Wenatchee stop in. It's a cash only place. Only 6 tables. The waitress helps to cook. There's and older lady who makes the pupusas by hand. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food. I love this place! I don't usually give 5 stars to any place. This just goes to show how wonderful this place is! read more

Tamale was great, chicken was super tender and the pork, bean, and cheese pupusas were comforting and flavorful. My husband and I tried this due to the amazing reviews and we wanted to try something we'd never tried before. It is a tiny little place. The ladies are friendly. Due to the reviews saying to try the pupusas, I had a bean and cheese pupusas, my husband had a pork and cheese pupusas. Then he also ordered a #10 which was rice, beans and chicken grilled with onions and peppers. I will say the food was filling, hot and tasted ok. Not really my style of food but I left full. We ordered Camarones a la crema and pollo a la crema. The sauce is so flavorful and there's veggies and thinly sliced potatoes along with fresh, handmade tortillas. My first time having Salvadorean food and I love the food! Very fast and reasonably priced. Everyone was so friendly too.

It just doesn't get better or more authentic than this. A couple of ladies in the back are cooking and they are cooking it right. Hand made tortillas and pupusas. Delicious and thick (among the best tortillas I've ever had). This is authentic, traditional El Savadorean so don't expect a lot of vegan or vegetarian options (if any -definitely no vegan). Fortunately, they have quite a few fish options (we are generally pescaterian). I went with the fish soup. My husband broke his no meat rule (in many years) and tried the chicken soup. So glad he did. It was probably the best chicken soup I've ever had. The fish soup was also very good, although it was made with a pretty fishy fish. I don't mind that, but I'm guessing some people might. My son loved his pupusas. It was a hot day and were pouring sweat eating our soup by the end of the meal. It was worth every drop. read more

Fried Plantains. I mean, what else do I have to say? They have quite a few vegetarian options including several pupusas, but I always go for the fried plantains. They come with well spiced black beans, and they're always absolutely delicious. The staff is always quite friendly, and I no one who I have ever come here with has had any complaint about the food. The horchata was very good. There was a bit of a mix-up where we ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, and ended up with freshly squeezed carrot juice, but it was delicious freshly squeezed carrot juice.
